If Jim Cary wasn't planning on retiring, then he would be perfect for a live action casting of plastic man.
The thing is, he doesn't like doing sequels, so I don't think he'll be interested if he gets offered the role.

@@adnanhasany Dumb and Dumber, Sonic the Hedgehog and Ace Ventura all have sequels just off the top of my head.
Plastic man is one of the characters who were kinda grouped in with gag/cartoon characters such as popeye and arale. This means that his power ceiling was never really set in stone so he just ended up keeping a bunch of his op powers in transition.
He also actually has a multiversal level threat for a power. His body isn’t plastic, he can actually control every atom of his body individually.
The fact that plastic man came back from a life of crime and became a hero makes him one of my favorites

I also read from the Plastic Man DC Fandom that according to Batman, Plastic Man is the only character in the whole multiverse who can defeat Martian Manhunter

@@JayTowers901The weakness to fire was an implanted mental block/weakness. The guardians gave the martians this psychic weakness to fire early on cause they felt that if they didn't restrict the martians in some way, the martians would have grown to be far too powerful. Cause even though most of the green martians were much more peaceful, the white martians were closer to being brutal warrior like savages. Either way that stuff doesn't matter as much when you look at what actually happened when that mental weakness to fire was broken/removed. The Martian Manhunter, when that block was shattered, he literally turned into a giant building sized flaming behemoth that was mopping the floor with teams of heroes including obviously the justice League. When he briefly became Fernus and pulled up, smoking up all the hero packs. They all had to jump him, no other option less they all wanted to die. The only hero who was actually able to trade blow for blow with that giant green murderer? Oh, yeah no. That was Plastic Man. Plastic Man watched the Martian go full power ranger villain, grow as big as skyscraper and cover himself in fire. Plastic mans response was pretty much perfect, he grew just as big and just started swinging on that Oreo fed powerhouse.
Plastic Man is easily as powerful or potentially more so than pretty much the entire population of heroes in the DC universe. He even has a particular leg up against the Martian Manhunter as Plastic Mans molecular makeup nullifies the Martians most powerful skill. Martian Manhunter is among the absolute peak when it comes to his telepathic abilities, and they just don't work on Plastic Man. That's a big reason why Superman made the comment about Plastic Man being the only one who could maybe take the Martian. Superman doesn't really stand a fucking chance against Martian Manhunter, he'd be better off praying to God hoping he don't care about Martians like that. And if Superman is hesitant from catching that green smoke, I don't see many faring me much.
@@JayTowers901 ok so, when he banged Scorch his fear of fire vanished and out came the suppressed strength (aka the burning) of all martians which was locked by the guardians of oa so that they arent a rampaging barbarian. Fernus is jon's alter ego which was able to curbstomp everyone in justice league, save for Plastic Man

For those wondering. Plastic Man has a vunrability to sudden large differences i temprature, HOWEVER, these things cannot kill him. He is only stopped for a little bit.

DCeased, Dark Knights Metal, and just about everything in the Black Label collection deserve animation adaptations.
People seem to like violent and gory superhero stories like Invincible, Peacemaker, and The Boys so those would do quite well.

Plastic man no diffs omni man, heres why:
His only known weaknesses are being entirely eradicated from existence, or sudden extreme changes in temperature, which only stops him momentarily.
On top of that, he was ready to toss hands with Superman who absolutely destroys omni man.
All plastic man has to do is get inside nolan and chip away at him internally, leading to omni mans demise.
Either that, or it's a draw if Nolan's viltrumite anatomy is too strong, but i doubt that could be the case, as he can alter his own mass and make himself incredibly dense.
TL;DR: my boy Nolan is not taking this

He's got way more powers, and less weaknesses
Eh not really. Yes they both stretch but Mr Fantastic's stretching is probably the weakest in all of fiction at least from what I've seen. His most powerful feat in terms of just stretching alone is being able to restrain a mind controlled Ben aka The Thing and another feat being Wolverine can't cut through him which is kinda impressive ig, since Wolverine has been shown to leave lasting damage on practically everything he uses his claws on, even Thor's hammer. But other than that he basically just stretches long distances and that's it. Meanwhile Plastic Man has defeated Flash (let me repeat-THE FLASH) and Martian Man Hunter almost effortlessly with how creative he gets with his stretching. Batman has even said the most effective way to stop Martian Man Hunter is to just send in Plastic Man if he's available. That all being said tho, Mr Fantastic is basically a multiversal god in terms of his intelligence, he's still canonically for almost 8 decades now real time, the smartest man in the entire marvel multiverse. Just to name a few feats, he's been able to invent a helmet that allows you to bring any fictional book or story to life, a device that puts Celestials to sleep immediately, 5 micro universes at the same exact time in minutes to power a light speed engine to push a planet, connect The Human Torch directly to the sun in order to manually stop a solar flare, is the only being in the universe to hack into Tony's tech directly with basically no effort whatsoever, big one being he has invented a device called The Ultimate Nullifier which is one of Marvel's most powerful weapons, being capable of wiping out anything on a literal level out of existence, even concepts (let's say you wanted to erase something like the concept of breathing out of existence, you could with The Ultimate Nullifier. The fundamentals of everything associated with what breathing is would just simply stop existing, meaning everything in the known cosmos wouldn't need to breath to survive cause the concept of it has been wiped out entirely. Completely rewriting reality), and imo his biggest feat being that The One Above All, the most powerful being in the entire multiverse who has only made a total of 4 appearances in all of Marvel's canon who is basically just the embodiment of the Marvel mythos itself, serving only to function as Marvel's objectively most powerful being simply for the sake of shutting the fans up on who the most OP Marvel character is, was directly discovered by Mr Fantastic which is supposed to be fundamentally impossible. Even 4th wall breakers like Deadpool can't interact with him. So adding on all the crazy stretch feats that Plastic Man can do on top of Mr F's omega level god brain, would just be overkill
