Bait of any kind on a jig works on so many levels. I've used that for even very small Creek fish with crickets. The hook being weighted eliminates the need for another weight above or below the hook. The fish you hooked were great. Very enjoyable video Thanks 👍👍
I like jig heads made for crappie tube jigs, but I like them for live shrimp in the saltwater with 6 lb test. You hook the shrimp from under the chin and the hook point ends up just over the horn. The gold hook matches the shrimp, and the weight ends up tight to their belly where it's basically invisible. Unfortunately the gold hooks aren't very strong so I wouldn't go over 6-8 lb test. But I caught a lot of fish in FL that way, including a 38" snook and a 32" cobia.
