I’m gonna defend Blover prime for one simple reason: seeing the land zombies get thrown off the screen at Mach speeds is hilarious to me and that makes him worth it.
“Blover prime” is actually the main reason that I love this plant. It feels like you’re going “hey, wanna take the strategy out of your strategy game? Just this once?”. You bust it out at some random level and then go back to the normal gameplay. Blover prime is a mini game, and a really fun one at that.
this game should be work smarter not harder if they gave you the option to use blover and be really good at the game would it really considerate as cheating? that's just like someone saying diamonds or netherite is cheating and you should only use iron. what a strategy that doesn't involve to be the best of the best?
Personally I liked Blower in PvZ1. Even if it was kinda brainless, it was a great counter to balloon zombie that didn't require me to nerf my lane damage by using a glorified peashooter. I also enjoy it pushing the fog away, but I was fine with using planters for that one.
> Tries to explain why Blover is terrible > Proceeds to make it look like the most badass plant in the game I mean, I totally understand Blover being unbalanced but oh boy does it sound fun to use
You’re not convincing us that Blover sucks. The only things I got from this is that with plants that can deal knock back or can launch zombies in the air have great synergies with Blover and can instant dead zombies.
He didn't make a good point for his point but basically His entire idea is, blover makes the game too easy and is poorly designed due to the gravity bug that allows it to kill everything
@@N.I.A23 people (from what my limited knowledge) don't complain about the game being hard, but the game being unbalanced. the power creep gets so extreme that some plants win levels, while others are a wasted slot
I've always loved the Blover, because it's one of the strongest plant you can use in Dead Man's Booty (Pirate Seas' Endless Zone) when you are at a early point in the game, and even afterwards ; letting you deal with all unique zombies in some way, swashbluckler, seagulls, parrots, and imps coming from imp cannons, barrel roller And thrown by gargantuas, without needing a synergy from another plant ! and the animation of them being thrown off-screen is always funny and will never gets old to me. . . . However, that's pretty much it, and I never really used it outside of this ; if only you would unlock it before Pirate Seas...
Honestly, you made blover seem like a lot of fun in this vid. I basically never use it but I’m gonna start. Also, blover opens up the use of plants that people never use, like chard and holly
@@tarodo980 because at that level stallia gets a NEW ABILITY that SYNERGISES whith blower, video's topic. He doesn't talk about leveling that just stupidly increases stats, like damage and recharge
He plays the game with level 1 plants. Also I remember when he made a tier about how much he likes the plants, he said it was average and didn't really care for it, so really the possibility of that video happening is very low
Reinforcement: hey blover im gonna help Blover:.... Really? Reinforcement: yes **flings for 0.5 seconds** GO Blover: **literally one shots a gargantuar**
I feel like the strategy with blover is more about whether to bring it or not. It’s a win button for flying zombies, but you need to balance it with bringing other plants. Sometimes you need it due to the sheer amount of flying zombies, and sometimes you need all of your seed slots for a strategy or to counter certain zombies and need to decide if blover is more important than them.
Blover is actually pretty good in pvz1 for two reasons. When you're going through those levels during the first gameplay, you've likely got 8 slots max, so there IS more use for role compression. And the more important reason: Cactus and plantern are really bad plants, and not having to take up multiple spaces on the lawn for them is pretty useful
Right, Blover does what Cactus and Planturn do but way better. Planturn makes the small area of fog visible, while Blover gets rid of all the fog. Cactus only gets the Balloon zombies’ on it’s lane, and doesn’t kill the zombie, just nullifies it’s ability. Blover however, insta kills every balloon zombie on screen!
Blover is such a fun plant, I love watching zombies being in air for 0.2 seconds and then fly with high speed it's just so silly, I like their simple design and how unique they!
Blover is literally the most broken plant in the game, like nothing can be better than blover, it is literally able to kill every zombie, it can instant kill many zombies with different plants, with reinforce mint it can instant kill almost all zombies, with Holly barrier it can do a 3x3 kill and since it’s Holly barrier it can do it multiple times, and there are other ways to do it too, so yeah blover is basically the most powerful plant in pvz2
Pokra. Enough said. But I do agree blover is absolutely broken especially when spring bean blover was a thing and even now with that gone we now have reinforcemint blover as an alternative
I like how reflourished made the wait time for Blover much longer, making it more strategic because you can't just spam it, but wait for the right time to use it. It's still broken, and I think they should have increased the sun cost as well, but I'll take this at least.
The title of this video shouldn't be "blover blows," it should be "blover is too good and makes the game not fun," because that's basically what it boils down to. Blover doesn't suck, it's just too good.
I have heard your arguments Some smack talk for someone within Blover Prime range But seriously, I find Blover Prime to have been one the most hilarious and... surprisingly creative ways of doing a level, it's pure genuine equality towards all zombies was one of those click moments. To me, and I think many others, it brought joy and made me actually start to think of various different ways one could abuse it, and diversify from the normal plants I used. I remember looking through plants and wondering which one would qualify a trigger for it, since the knowledge was never told to me, I found it out on complete accident. It was a discovery journey to figure out what plants and zombies would be eligible for Blover Prime, and I started to deviate from my "usual" go to plant compositions and started trying out new tactics, all because of Blover Prime. To me, Blover Prime was a start of a discovery and creativity journey that made PvZ2 actually a really enjoyable game, it was from that point on I finally felt like I was finding the joy of playing around with the different plants, doing different strategies. This was also before Seeds were even a thing, like, there was no plant levels, I didn't know abt Stella would unlock a knockback ability until like a year ago, which, I've stopped playing the game for a very long time by then. Blover Prime may have been bad for the design, which, I do agree with what you have said there, but you bet certain that it was enjoyable to use, the sheer surprise of discovering it's hidden mechanics, and how it absolutely changed how I played the game in general. In that sense, it's not a failure of a plant, it has it's flaws, but it will always remain one of the most interesting changes and tactics in PvZ2 for me. Oh and yes I think Hurrikale is a 11/10 plant, the moment I seriously laid my eyes on it rather than skimming through "yet another premium plant", I started using it, and it has become one of the inseparable plants that I will always remember. But I wouldn't have even thought abt it if it wasn't for Blover Prime. It was because of Blover Prime I looked at Hurrikale in the gem shop and said "Hey, you know..." and the rest was history. Because of these, I will rate Blover Plant a 4 leaf clover out of 10, whatever that means is up for the reader.
@@melvint-p9500 The creativity comes from the fact that you don't even know what could trigger it at first. Forcing you to branch out towards plants you have never even thought abt before, it also inspired me to be creative and try out more obscure things because a strategy might just work. I started playing Spring Bean for example. This was long before the whole patching out spring bean's interaction with Blover. I sort of stopped playing sometime after arena came out so no reinforce mints and lv5 Stella for me though.
@@adamxue6096 In a way it kinda reminds me of botw. In Breath of the Wild, you can use the physics in all sorts of creative ways like flyinga round shooting arrows from the air, dropping bombs like some kind of WW2 war plane, using bombs to get past big obstacles by using the bomb's knockback, setting grass on fire, etc. Because it's based on physics and with very few limits, you can do a lot just based off what you think. Everything behaves the way ypu'd expect. And based off logic, something in the air can be blown very easily, thus blover.
As a person, who loves blover, I will say, thay all the arguments you've brought up are 100% correct, I just love plants that can absolutely wreck levels UNINTENTIONALLY. There's no way blower was designed to blow knocked back zombies away, but the strength of that dumb synergy makes me very happy.
I love blover but I understand people who don’t. It’s a little overpowered thus the reason it was completely removed from PvZ Eclipse. Nonetheless it’s one of my favorite plants next to cattail snowpea and plantern.
Still beat eclise without blover albeit a lot more of a pain in the neck with its level design In reality all blover does is remove level design and strategy But it isn't a bad plant for that For some world's in vanilla like the spammy neon mixtape and jurrasic marsh it really helps a ton because it straight up counters everything Something perfume shroom fails to do Even lost city with its copious amounts of pain and suffering It may be a cheese strategy but it's not badly designed as you basically don't get much flying zombies till lost city anyways, you'd have already beaten pirate seas and whatnot before far future Honestly this video just is an opinion that will never be shared The problem with the "Here's why series" in a nutshell
@@LUCAS420BLZ I agree Honestly though I think one fixed to blover to keep it with Strategies would be to make its cool down longer maybe instead of 5 seconds it could be as long as Goldbloom.
@@Trailbreaker3966 they fixed this in reflourished a really good vanilla expansion mod If you haven't tried it out its pretty good And that's the only change to blover
1:57 you had so many other examples but you had to choose coconut cannon and tall nut which are the worst examples you could have choosen coconuts are associated with pirates and look like cannon balls tall nuts are an upgrade of wall nut which wallnuts are known for having really hard shells next time just use something like intensive carrot
"Cherry bomb"s are an actual thing, though. Apparently, they're a type of fireworks. So the name works literally (it's a bomb made of cherries), while also doubling as a reference to a real-world explosive (broadly speaking).
PvZ1 has literally almost no filler. Cactus is good for endless mode, split pea is good with garlic (which is actually really good in PvZ1), seashroom is a necessity for the very world its unlocked in the beginning of, to the point where if you called it filler you would have to call puff-shroom filler too, and you are literally using it. In addition, blover seems to be the most popular counter to balloon zombies and fog. Plantern, although permanent, is annoying to build a defense around, and can be eaten by zombies, and cactus costs 125 sun in each lane. Blover is simply more convinient in most levels, and only takes up one seed slot.
I agree with you But I'm bad at the game and getting the timing right feels really satisfying (it feels really tight with Chard Guard but that might also be a skill issue) I've been mostly playing Reflourished where they nerfed Blover by making their recharge time really slow, to the point that I sometimes run it with Imitater, so that also makes it really satisfying to pull ^^
Off topic, but there used to be a plant that's unused called "burnade" and "mini peashooter", burnade was a 0 sun, ice burg lettuce (bc it was unused), it has a fast cool down, and would knock back and kill zombies in a 3x3 radius since the zombie who touched it explodes after some time
Fun fact: I tried it arena (using hacks) and it killed the zombot since the zombot has a dashing attack, touching every plant it goes and deleting them. Burnade is an exception and knockbacks the zombot, killing it after a certain amount of time.
@@justinroux1610 Ice bloom has a slow cool down, it's like a better chilly pepper, burnade does explosion damage after touching a zombie, and kills in a 3x3, and can 1 show nearly every zombie, ice bloom cant
Now I don't play PVZ2, but this plant is super cool in PVZ1. No one ever wants to play the piece of trash known as plantern, and cactus obviously sucks. If you don't want to use cattails in your late game setup it also doubles as garg blocking.
Just wanna mention that them removing spring been plant food from being affected by blover for arena does absolutely nothing as you can do the exact same thing with reinforcemint
The cool down makes it more difficult to do often but plant food recharge fixes it They just wanted to nerf the campaign more for some reason I don't understand why they can't simply just allow fun and ban plants in arena, nobody is going to use spring bean anyway
I personally don’t have an issue with the intended use of blover, other than maybe it’s cost and that it effects the entire board instead of something like a 3x5 area in front of it. What I do have a problem with though is the whole cheesy strategy use. You should not be able to kill the entire board with 50 sun, hell, it makes doomshroom look like a joke. I genuinely believe the only reason it was kept as it is and treated as a “feature” is because it would require a major revision of how the games “gravity” is coded that simply isn’t cost effective to fix. The only other option would be remove or change the plants function, neither of which are a terribly great option due to backlash and just the fact that blover really doesn’t have any other gimmick it can adapt (at least with cactus, the other lock n key plant, they can do creative melee attacks, or other features related to its shot). I don’t hate the plant itself as a concept or design, I just have a grudge with its unintended features.
well.. hurrikale actually removes zombies that are only NATURALLY airborn, so i dont think blover shouldnt be that hard to fix. but yeah i agree with this whole comment.
After watching this video for the 3rd time, I still love Blover and B. Prime. Hurrikale is a great plant and I think I very much enjoy using it, but Blover is better still. They are both amazing plants that do amazing things. They are also super cute. Even tho they don’t come close to stacking up to plants like Ghost Pepper or Hypno Shroom in terms of my favorites, I still like them. I liked Blover in PVZ 1 a lot and preferred it over plantern AND THAT GARBAGE CACTUS. Getting rid of flying zombies is helpful in PVZ 2, but getting rid of a ton of zombies that are airborne at all is just super funny, helpful, and enjoyable regardless of the fact it wasn’t intended and is op. I used Blover and B. Prime a LOT before this vid dropped and seeing you have a problem with it feeds my sadistic nature knowing I will continue to enjoy using it. Strategy means nothing to me when fucking sending zombies zooming off screen is interesting moreso than many other plants could be. The Stallia is so fucking funny idc.(I still think dandilion is one of if not the worst plant in the game. Blover outclasses it by a long shot). I respect your opinion, but I think it needs to be taken into the shop and get it fixed into a shiny, well-oiled, GOOD opinion. :)
Game design standpoint is another thing, but Blover in PVZ1 is pretty decent for the sole reason you dont have to use cactus, which is just a more expensive peashooter otherwise. PVZ1 Cactus is THAT useless.
I personally don't dislike blover, but I see how it's a messy plant. I feel that if pushing zombies into air and then using blover only sent them to the back like hurrikale did rather than instantly killing, it would have a lot more strategic use. There's really not too many plants that send zombies into air, but it could have interesting synergies with the ones that do. Instead of having a 3x3 cherry bomb with Stallia or Holly Barrier, you'd have a 3x3 timewarp. It would also just differenciate itself from hurrikale more that way
So just send them to the back? So instead of killing it stalls? Yeah okay. But I think some of the insta kill should be preserved at least a little. Maybe make it so zombies who only flew were insta killed but those who weren't, especially heavy ones like gargantuar or the robot mecha things were blew back depending on their weight.
fun fact: spring bean USED to synergize with blover! then a nerf was added. .... specifically for spring bean, it would not longer be able to make zombies zoom offstage. this just adds to spring bean being the lowest tiered plant possible, since it is the ONLY knockback plant that doesnt work with blover,. Chard guard? that works. reinforce-mint? works. any other form of a knockback plant? WORKS! (minus levitater...)
If Pvz 1 were to get remade by me, I would probably replace a couple of the obvious filler plants with something else or even just make them more unique. Oh and I would buff cactus. *A lot.*
The knock back you get from stallia is better in mods because they usually don't include blover in the roster or limit what you can do with strategies with nerfs to cooldowns
TLDR: blover is overpowered and removes strategy by being too effective at killing when done right, therefore I hate it. It's essentially the argument that if something makes the game too easy its bad. If i may offer a solution I'd say make clover blow all zombies in all lanes back, but only a few tiles back and no ice.
To be honest when it comes to Blover I don't really care about balance it's a fun plant that's satisfying to win with It's unbalanced but I came here to have fun and seeing the funny fan send zombies off the planet is really fun
Here's my two cents for making Blover interesting: Preserve the "if it's in the air it dies" mentality, but make Blover only work in 3 lanes like threepeater. This way there's actual strategy to using the plant, but it still preserves the unique opportunity for plants like spring bean and levitater to become main attackers. Maybe even make some more synergies, like carrying Snapdragon's flames forward? IDK
For me i would change blover to be lane ranged like hurrikale but not make it be a insta plant anymore, it would deal decent damage for the lane but high damage against flying zombies. And of course the cost and recharge would be changed to be balanced around that idea (+ how it's not a insta plant anymore).
Wind can hurt people depending on the strength of it, a strong wind can even remove a limb from a human, don't forget that tornados are literally wind too and they're very dangerous.@@mariustan9275
I'm glad you talked about this Creeps. Blover has always bothered me because its simply TOO good at its job. Other "key" plants have limits on their abilities, like EMPeach only stunning mechs and not instantly killing them. Even other instas like cherry bomb have limits like area and recharge, but blover is completely braindead and makes all flying zombies invalid.
I'm not sure they intended all of the knockback synergies when designing blover. The way it seemed to be used officially is to be a counter to the jetpack zombies in the far future. But honestly a new strategy involving launching zombies and sending them flying is really interesting to me and could be rebalanced as official. But yeah at the moment it is quite busted.
I don't understand why Blover being a super basic and easy to use plant is a problem. Not every plant has to be ultra mega master blaster complex, just look at hot potato, it unfreezes plants and that's it! I don't see a problem sith Blover's lack of complexity
i dont think thats his main problem.im pretty sure that his problem is that it is both super easy to use aswell as being insanely powerful. like he said, level 5 stallia + blover is just a wayy better cherry bomb. basically blover is incredibly overpowered with ZERO drawbacks. but hey, i dont really use blover often. i have no idea.
@@tpfoxCastro …with leveling. Creeps doesn’t really do that. Otherwise hot potato is just.. not a good. Literally a waste of a slot. Not tactically interesting either.
i completely disagree that blover is a filler plant in pvz1. plantern is cool n all but cactus is probably the worst plant in pvz1 and blover fills the niche of both of them in that game. there is no reason to use cactus over blover, and because of that there is no reason to use plantern.
Plantern permanently removes the fog unlike Blover and Fog is permanent annoyance unlike Balloon Zombies, so there’s a reason why people use plantern (even though I prefer blover)
suprised reinforce-mint wasn't mentioned here (50 cost screen nuke, and arena gives enough PF to make PF refresh spamming viable) and the fact that like every other arena week, blover is banned since it just makes dumb strats completely unreliant on being levelled in any way
I love your content but honestly here the issue sounds pretty much non-existent You're literally naming a bunch of mechanics, synergies and interactions with the plant and then shrug it off like you didn't just explain exactly why the plant is cool 8:43 _explains how in some cases the timing is more interesting as it needs foresight_ ... "But come on" This is further evidenced by the fact that I already agreed with you before the video started as I suspected that it's a boring plant due to its "Lock and Key" design but after watching the video I instead was convinced otherwise And the supposed problem of Blover Prime making levels less interesting can be easily solved - just don't overuse it If you used the same set of plants through the entirety of PvZ2 (only changing some counters each world) then it would get boring too because that's not how PvZ is meant to be played
Hey to be fair blover was good in pvz1 because its seed slot usage (thinking in terms of endless here) was far more worthwhile than having to waste space on cactus
A funny thing, at least on PvZ1(because I can't remember if they do in 2) Zombies will actually stop and try to eat Blover if they get to it during its animation, despite the fact that Blover acts instantly and dissapears after its animation, so if you plant it where there's a Zombie it will stop for like a second, but, like, there's an infinity of better ways to stall Zombies out there, even in 1(literally Frost Shroom), so that's not exactly the best use of Blover eihter, just a funny thing that can happen
The most use I ever got out of Blover was 6 or 7 years ago, in the 200s levels of Pirate Seas endless, because my phone was dying trying to keep the thing going, with fps i could cound on one hand. Least to say, "frame perfect" usage became pretty easy. Ain't dealing with what to me looked like 100s of seagulls flying in as well as the raiding party for any longer then needed. Just to give the phone some respite.
lol "'frame perfect'" aka big ass 5 second window Blover also sweeps temple of bloom. Those adventurer have high health and spawn to eat all your plants on the 4th-5th tile and i aint dealing with allat 💀
I mean there some plants I hate in pvz2 but I love blover, my least favorite plants in general are dazey chain, draftodil, vamporcini, and tomb Tangler
Blower is actually really good for several worlds. Far Future, Lost City, Modern Day, Stormy Seas, and even the competitive season if there’s a floater or two.
For a while I’ve actually also hated Blover. It’s use was way too situational and were never really viable as a plant. This is also another reason why I love PvZ3, which adds Blover as a *power* instead of a plant you’d need to waste a seed slot on. And I didn’t even know it *was* a power until browsing the wiki! I’ve literally never seen a RUclipsr ever run into a prompt for using it like the Peppers and Cherry Bomb! That’s how undoubtedly useless this is. This is just a long-winded way of saying I agree with you
If a mod were to try to give Blover a proper purpose, I could see it briefly stunning zombies and probably pushing back flying zombies at a lower Sun cost. Heck, it could stun for 0.5 seconds and cost 10 sun.
I always called Blower one of the plants in the game because it doesn't have any drawbacs. It makes flying zombies completely useless. Imagine a plant that could instakill all Gargantuars or bucketheads and tell me that it isn't overpowered.
bro just buy a cherry bomb. its 150 sun and does half the damage. your plants can do the rest. that takes 2 seed slots. and you should bring cherry bomb EVERYWHERE.
I got some ideas: Changes for Blover +bring back fog levels. -drop it's range to 3*5 tiles -increase it's cost 50->125 -give zombies weight values (brown coat=200, buckethead=1200, Garg 30k) -have counters to Blover (Invicible zombie, metal zombie, crushblat, ect.) -new and old worlds with new gimmicks to counter Blover.
I think they should've made the gimmick for Dark Ages the fog instead of graves. Maybe introduce blover then, since it makes more sense for it to be in the past than the future for some reason.
I think the reason Blover exists is to counter Jetpacks and Bugbots. Both typically appear in large groups either early in a level or in places you don't want and Blover is a perfect answer to them when you aren't fully set up. It also did kind of work backwards as Parrot and Prospector were both flying threats that would go straight towards the weaker middle or back of your defense. The issue is that A. This Far Future gives you Laser Bean after the first level which handles any kind of swarm by itself and B. Back when Blover was added there wasn't much it synergized with to cheese levels, the only form of knockback was Spring Bean and power ups. Now we have 3+ solid knockback plants and most worlds never have any big flying threats to make you pick Blover over anyhting else.
Nah, I owe Blover my life because he and Spring Bean helped me beat that cursed Big Wave Beach level where you have to protect endangered Potato Mines.
The clickbait here is pretty disappointing. I was expecting an explanation of why Blover is an ineffective plant, not a gripe about how it represents poor game design. “Why I don’t like Blover” or “How Blover breaks PVZ2” would be much better titles. Your video is well made, but I wish you put more thought into the presentation.
I don't know anybody who picked cactus over blower in PVZ1. I don't think i've ever used plantern either, In fact in my opinion its blower that makes both of those plants irrelevant.

Reinforcement: hey blover im gonna help
Blover:.... Really?
Reinforcement: yes **flings for 0.5 seconds** GO
Blover: **literally one shots a gargantuar**
I kinda love how Blover works.
Seeing the gigantic and annoying zombies being blown away by just a light "whoose" is pretty funny and relaxing
@@marcthedashergd6321 Oh please don't make me remember Pokra. It's just way too annoying when your enemy has pokra in arena.
you completely missed the point of the video
I like how reflourished made the wait time for Blover much longer, making it more strategic because you can't just spam it, but wait for the right time to use it. It's still broken, and I think they should have increased the sun cost as well, but I'll take this at least.
I don't care how much it sucks, Blover is my favorite plant and you cannot change my mind.
Love your name
The title of this video shouldn't be "blover blows," it should be "blover is too good and makes the game not fun," because that's basically what it boils down to. Blover doesn't suck, it's just too good.
You raise a good point but consider this: he can't make the pun
@@globurim yeah that’s true lol
Idk, imo it makes the game quite fun.
Blover blows because it doesn't suck
I have heard your arguments
Some smack talk for someone within Blover Prime range
But seriously, I find Blover Prime to have been one the most hilarious and... surprisingly creative ways of doing a level, it's pure genuine equality towards all zombies was one of those click moments.
I agree. idc how fundamentally broken it is, it's fun as fuck
I’d consider it the opposite of creative, since Blover Prime doesn’t require adapting to different threats.
Such a beautifully written opinion. Well done.
@@melvint-p9500
The creativity comes from the fact that you don't even know what could trigger it at first.
Blover is insanely good, i use him in every single penny pursuit phase, including boss
I love blover but I understand people who don’t. It’s a little overpowered thus the reason it was completely removed from PvZ Eclipse. Nonetheless it’s one of my favorite plants next to cattail snowpea and plantern.
Still beat eclise without blover albeit a lot more of a pain in the neck with its level design
In reality all blover does is remove level design and strategy
But it isn't a bad plant for that
For some world's in vanilla like the spammy neon mixtape and jurrasic marsh it really helps a ton because it straight up counters everything
Something perfume shroom fails to do
Even lost city with its copious amounts of pain and suffering
It may be a cheese strategy but it's not badly designed as you basically don't get much flying zombies till lost city anyways, you'd have already beaten pirate seas and whatnot before far future

@@charlesruteal9062 thanks for that bit of information I will now edit my comment so my criticism makes more sense
I dunno, Blover in PvZ1 was really good for handling scary waves where you needed to see, and it was the only way I got around Balloon Zombies
I don't really get how Blover is skilless and uninteresting, but cherry bomb is considered a fun plant despite being played in the exact same way

I like how this take was so bad that you inspired the majority of commenters to try this plant
Even before seeing evidence, I have to like because of your passion in that first minute LOL this man is PISSED

But I'm bad at the game and getting the timing right feels really satisfying (it feels really tight with Chard Guard but that might also be a skill issue)
I've been mostly playing Reflourished where they nerfed Blover by making their recharge time really slow, to the point that I sometimes run it with Imitater, so that also makes it really satisfying to pull ^^
Getting Blover and Primal Peashooter together is always hilarious though. Just watching Garguantuars get wrecked is so cathartic
@@thx4chrckingin yeah I used that in reflourished

Off topic, but there used to be a plant that's unused called "burnade" and "mini peashooter", burnade was a 0 sun, ice burg lettuce (bc it was unused), it has a fast cool down, and would knock back and kill zombies in a 3x3 radius since the zombie who touched it explodes after some time
Sounds like icebloom
Burnade explosion damage depend on zombie's hp

The fact that he shows all types of combinations and uses with blover on screen when he is trying to criticize it tho 💀
Just wanna mention that them removing spring been plant food from being affected by blover for arena does absolutely nothing as you can do the exact same thing with reinforcemint
However, you now have to work for such an ability rather than have it from the get go
The cool down makes it more difficult to do often but plant food recharge fixes it

Blover in pvz1: sometimes preferable over cactus
Blover in pvz2: broken

In pvz1 it's ALWAYS preferable over cactus.

"And yes, that's a threat"
Bring it on, Blover was great in PVZ1
Kinda funny how this video made way more people start using blover
Yeah, quite the result!
Because Creeps wasn't trying to say Blover is weak. He is criticizing why it's so strong.
PVZ1 Cactus is THAT useless.
and then cattail exists with actual damage to further devalue cactus
Its literally a silver bullet in pvz1
But by then you can just use Cattails, which are better plants than anything you'll likely need in the water and can deal with anything.
I use blover in PvZ1 just so I don't have to use cactus
@@colossaldonut5190 cattail is very expensive and situational
He literally mentioned it on the video.
I really dont care :D.
@@leafytheleaf9452and no one cares about you not caring
If Pvz 1 were to get remade by me, I would probably replace a couple of the obvious filler plants with something else or even just make them more unique. Oh and I would buff cactus.
*A lot.*
this video opened my eyes to so many more possibilities with blover
All this time I thought Stallia's knockback was only in mods. Guess I gotta start farming Lost City pinatas
Blover may be a clover, but he'll never give you as much luck as our god KERNEL

To be honest when it comes to Blover I don't really care about balance
it's a fun plant that's satisfying to win with
It's unbalanced but I came here to have fun and seeing the funny fan send zombies off the planet is really fun
Blover Prime is something I absolutely use during Penny’s Pursuit.
But hey, opinions are opinions!
Blover prime is the only reason I love blover. If you don't like it, well can't change my opinion
I liked that when you were talking about the lock and key mechanism you played hollow knight music, noted and appreciated
Here's my two cents for making Blover interesting:
Preserve the "if it's in the air it dies" mentality, but make Blover only work in 3 lanes like threepeater.

Bruh just use him the right way and everythings fine
I don't understand why Blover being a super basic and easy to use plant is a problem. Not every plant has to be ultra mega master blaster complex, just look at hot potato, it unfreezes plants and that's it! I don't see a problem sith Blover's lack of complexity
Facts! this game isn't damn 4d chess
i dont think thats his main problem.im pretty sure that his problem is that it is both super easy to use aswell as being insanely powerful. like he said, level 5 stallia + blover is just a wayy better cherry bomb. basically blover is incredibly overpowered with ZERO drawbacks. but hey, i dont really use blover often. i have no idea.

i completely disagree that blover is a filler plant in pvz1. plantern is cool n all but cactus is probably the worst plant in pvz1 and blover fills the niche of both of them in that game. there is no reason to use cactus over blover, and because of that there is no reason to use plantern.
Plantern permanently removes the fog unlike Blover and Fog is permanent annoyance unlike Balloon Zombies, so there’s a reason why people use plantern (even though I prefer blover)
suprised reinforce-mint wasn't mentioned here (50 cost screen nuke, and arena gives enough PF to make PF refresh spamming viable) and the fact that like every other arena week, blover is banned since it just makes dumb strats completely unreliant on being levelled in any way
I love your content but honestly here the issue sounds pretty much non-existent
You're literally naming a bunch of mechanics, synergies and interactions with the plant and then shrug it off like you didn't just explain exactly why the plant is cool
8:43 _explains how in some cases the timing is more interesting as it needs foresight_ ... "But come on"
This is further evidenced by the fact that I already agreed with you before the video started as I suspected that it's a boring plant due to its "Lock and Key" design but after watching the video I instead was convinced otherwise
And the supposed problem of Blover Prime making levels less interesting can be easily solved - just don't overuse it
If you used the same set of plants through the entirety of PvZ2 (only changing some counters each world) then it would get boring too because that's not how PvZ is meant to be played
You could literally just plant a reinforce mint and place blower immediately and the zombies just go WHOOOOSH
This is getting personal now
A fast 50 sun god insta-kill that can kill any zombie since most pushes work with it, Blover Prime is perfect with Primitive Pea
Hey to be fair blover was good in pvz1 because its seed slot usage (thinking in terms of endless here) was far more worthwhile than having to waste space on cactus
I love blover for how it can destroy bot swarm in Far Future, especially in the extra hard levels ^_^
he is talking about the full game in general. not just far future the world it was revolved around.
Your aggressive tone towards US over a damn plant screws with me
Hey Creeps, you probably wont find this comment, but you missed the part where you actually said what using blover with dandelion does.

Chari guard and blover are a deadly combo as it can insta kill a gargantuar while using only 125 sun
Reinforcement mint + blover whole lawn is gone for 50 sun
bro just buy a cherry bomb. its 150 sun and does half the damage. your plants can do the rest. that takes 2 seed slots. and you should bring cherry bomb EVERYWHERE.

I got some ideas:
Changes for Blover
+bring back fog levels.
-drop it's range to 3*5 tiles
-increase it's cost 50->125
-give zombies weight values (brown coat=200, buckethead=1200, Garg 30k)
-have counters to Blover (Invicible zombie, metal zombie, crushblat, ect.)
-new and old worlds with new gimmicks to counter Blover.
I think they should've made the gimmick for Dark Ages the fog instead of graves. Maybe introduce blover then, since it makes more sense for it to be in the past than the future for some reason.
@@Cam_Can_Play Yeah
“Me using blover x wall mint combo”
So many people miss the point of the video.
It doesn't matter if it's strong or if you use it often. The problem is bad game design.
