    This guitar is beautifully designed, well thought out and a blast to play. It's light, impervious to the weather and sounds great.

    That’s a whole lot of guitar for the price. Would be heaps of fun to play and experiment with.

    In Bangkok the kwh cost of electricity is so high, we turn off AC whenever we leave the house. I just moved here without my guitars and this may be the solution I’ve been looking for. With heat and humidity fluctuation, a normal guitar would not last long here. Carbon fiber sounds like an excellent solution. Thank you so much for this review.
    Just found it on Lazada for ฿12,700! Woohoo!

    Great review, in your opinion how hard would it be to work on the frets, leveling, recrowning, replacing?

    I don't like the sound of the onboard speaker. I figured it would sound boxy, but plugged in to a regular amp system, it sounds pretty decent. I mean, the speaker does come in handy if you don't want to lug around an amp.

    Seems fairly interesting but the open string buzz you demo at 14:00 mean the zero fret is wrong from the factory. So how hard would it be to replace it with a good one?

    Hi Mark, if one were to use a TRS plug on a guitar cable (with no connection to the ring) would the internal speaker and the 1/4” output work at the same time. I’d want to do this to capture the “loud amp in the room” interaction with the guitar resonances when recording, or using a modeler with headphones or small practice amp?

    I’ve had an idea for ages to build a guitar with an amp sim and speaker built-in, mostly for practice as I often find myself not plugging in my guitars. I was thinking of gutting a Spark Go and modifying that to work in a guitar. It’d likely be a significant amount of work though. This is a far simpler way to do it. If I did still want to build my own, I could gut this and use the electronics, without needing to modify it. Certainly going to look into it anyway.

      I'm the same way, I play 90 percent of the time without plugging in. But this guitar made me want to practice with an amp again, so I literally just bought a Spark 40.

    I'm sure you are but just in case, emerald guitars have a great video of how they build their carbon fibre guitars

      Yeah, I saw that video a few years ago. The amount of work they do to build those guitars is insane.

    4:24 flat crowned higher frets… they are so shallow it will be a nightmare for bending in solos!

    that feedback is a defect - i contacted Enya and reported that to them, they sent me a replacement that does not feedback. just FYI.

    • @MarkGutierrez
      @MarkGutierrez  Месяц назад

      I know the feedback isn't a feature. I just thought it was cool. So you get no feedback even at full volume with the high gain amp?

    • @jphines3780
      @jphines3780 Месяц назад

      @@MarkGutierrez if i let the e string ring out eventually it will start to feedback but otherwise, the noise gate kicks in and its quiet.

    What an asinine way to access the electronics. Why would I want to remove the serial number sticker, to get the panel off? This is moronic.
    I bet it neck dives right into the ground too. 0/10.
