Tsonga was Nick's idol when he was young, he told it to the media before. That's why Tsonga smiled and grabbed Nick's neck with a good hug. Nick is a bad boy for the media, but he has a good heart, I am sure what he told Tsonga must have been nothing but good words.
Scored more points in every level, the stats show that Tsonga dominated this match but clearly missed precision on the crucial points. If Kyrgios keeps his nerves like this, he will continue to win big matchs like these. Pity one stupid dude in the crowd didn't respect Tsonga.
I feel like we’ve been saying it for years, but I really wish Nick would take things more seriously. He’s got major talent and is so exciting to watch.
Saw my boy Tsonga in my local French supermarket... at first I thought it was someone that went to my high school because the face looked so familiar... and then it dawned on me that it was Joe-Wilfried Tsonga!!! I couldn't believe it... Turns out he has a home nearby in bordering Switzerland... made sense. Didn't ask for an autograph as I didn't want to disturb his peaceful grocery shopping
there's another video where you can see Tsonga asking a guy in the public to come down to beat him up ^^. Tsonga got a warning from the chair empire because of it
Annoying, eh? They mention the outcome in the description as well. Are you reading this AOTV? I've already mentioned this on another video. Please change it
Yes they can, they can simply write sth like 'Highlights of NK's 3rd round match with JT" and use a different image for the thumbnail. Incredibly simple. I don't really read into the names of the next match-up on the suggested list. My suggested list shows the highlights of all the games so how would that give the score away?
I love Nick's forehand. He can use it as a flat cannon, but also really good at the rallies. Look at his forehand around sec 00:30 or so, thats a really good way to annoy some opponents, and a great way to build your point
Not sure what you mean by Tsitsipas being "the most polish person" but from watching him myself in a few matches this year, I'm really excited to see how he develops and what level he'll reach, very talented.
If you are not a fan of Kyrgios I feel sorry for you, and you must be a really boring person. He's the most exciting player on tour and not a robot like most players. He actually has a personality, and it's great for the sport. Unreal win Nick!
Nick's backhand is strange. He knows how to get winners with it, but its not so consistent. Watch how he loses the rallies because of his backhand being underwhelming
Flea bitten Because tsonga served a lot better, he wo his service games 40-0 while Kyrgios won his 40-30/adv-40 so there’s tsonga winning 2 more points than Kyrgios each service game, and when there’s 7-6 4-6 7-6 7-6 there is nothing between them, sorry if it was confusing.
Tao Paille-Paille i think he takes out whatever is required to win the match. He is one of the very few players on tour ryt nw who does a detailed study on the opponent b4 the match... Nd i dont c any reasn y he shud be unfit.. He ws flawless in hopman cup.
This is a historic moment. It's the first time a kid who was a fan of a player who got several balls signed by that player grew up and beat that very same player in a grand slam. lol. wtf?
So disrespectful for Kyrgios’ dad to whistle like that after every point Nick wins. Heard him doing at The Laver Cup too. Just a tactic to irritate Nick’s opponents.
how has tsonga stayed good for so long with such a poor back hand? it looks like he has no feel or touch for what shot to play. He changes between a one hander and a two hander, his slice isn't yet, he has managed to remain at the top of world tennis for so long
Nadal won his first slam when he was 19. Federer 22, Djokovic 21. Kyrgios is 22 now and so far we can't see any signs that he will be as good as the big 4. Even Murray played much better than him when he was his age. Still waiting for Chung, Zverev or Shapovalov and Thiem. So far only Chung can withstand Djokovic in a grandslam, even then Djokovic was just back from injury so he is technically 'handicapped'. This new generation is... a little bit weaker compared to the previous.
Loved the handshake at the end... good sportmanship from both players
Absolutely! It's sad that you NEVER see such sportsmanship on the WTA all the women there just hate each other 🤔 typical females really 🤔
I would like to see how would that shake be if Kyrgios had lost though
I can understand your point. I suggest you look at how fair play he appeared after he lost to Dimitrov. 🤔
Tsonga was Nick's idol when he was young, he told it to the media before. That's why Tsonga smiled and grabbed Nick's neck with a good hug. Nick is a bad boy for the media, but he has a good heart, I am sure what he told Tsonga must have been nothing but good words.
@@harrismcwinved3032, cuz women are spiteful
Best match of the tournament so far! Go Nick!
it was very competitive, but didn't see anything special except great serving.
ok
Tsonga vs Shapovalov was much better
Respect for Tsonga, great performance for Kyrgios! Wonderful spectacle!
Simply Unbelievable tennis from Kyrgios, he's taking his game to the next level now.
2:25, Tsonga .. One handed backhand?? Wowwww
Yeah he likes to do it
Gasquet, Tsonga, Monfils, Santro... French tennis players cant stop amazing me for their uniqueness
2:21 Kyrgios: Yo Jo here you go try your 1HBH down the line..
Tsonga: OK
hahahahahah
A Tsonga one hand back hand down the line?! Very stylish!
Nick actually wants this. First time seeing this in him
True!
Yes I think so. The Nick a year ago probably would have given up.
Its because tsonga is his inspiration
707ladytee now he will do it, too
Because will Smith and rod Laver were watching haha
I remember the days when a men's tennis match lasted three hours. Today 6 minutes 7 seconds and its all over.
Alice Haruno - I'm a bit dissapointed, you're being all logical and sensible. 😊
Nathan Nair he was joking 😂
Josh Reagan i know but it was a shit joke
Ha! Just be happy with what you get. Come May-June, matches will only last about 3 and a 1/2 minutes.
Laoya puka True AO is awesome
I want this Kyrgios version always :(
Scored more points in every level, the stats show that Tsonga dominated this match but clearly missed precision on the crucial points. If Kyrgios keeps his nerves like this, he will continue to win big matchs like these. Pity one stupid dude in the crowd didn't respect Tsonga.
Dominated? 144 points to 142? You aren't using that word correctly, dude.
5:33 point of the match
I'm with you!!
Dommage pour Jo. Nick a été plus constant. J'espère que L'australien fera un beau parcours.
Congratulations Kyrgios, Tsonga went to great lengths but it wasn't enough.
Kyrgios has slain all of the greatest, only playing his best against his idols whom he’s most entertained to be in battle with.
I feel like we’ve been saying it for years, but I really wish Nick would take things more seriously. He’s got major talent and is so exciting to watch.
Très impressionnant Kyrgios. Super joueur. Bravo à lui!
Just glad this match took place
This will be one of the matches of the year 2018. Kyrgios vs. Tsonga!
That knee of Tsonga, tough. I think it cost him the 4th set.
Diogo Moreira he said in the interview his knee was fine, he just hit it cus he got mad at himself
What's mad is Tsonga's won more points. Look at 5:58 it's unbelievable, I hate when tiebreak matches decide winners :/
Handprint 2020 how many times did u comment this..
I hope nick goes on to win this tournament.
As usual very sportmanship Tsonga! Too bad some douchebag in the public has disturbed him.
Nouvel Ordre Mondial et Satanisme ummm who?
there's another video where you can see Tsonga asking a guy in the public to come down to beat him up ^^. Tsonga got a warning from the chair empire because of it
Nouvel Ordre Mondial et Satanisme Oh, was it a joke or actual arguement?
Tsonga always classy ! he's one of the tennis nice guys.
Great highlights this year!
Well done Nick, FOCUS !! Domage pour Jo, fought all the way - great match
Tsonga complimenting Nick's serve knowing well and good he got that great return back when he was up 40-0 facing break point. Cheeky!
めっちゃ良い勝負や〜ん。
best handshake I've ever seen in six years
nearly all the numbers say Tsonga was the better player, Nick obviously won most important points
Keitumetse M Simpson's Paradox
Yeah, and you are spot on!!
no... tsonga has too many unforced errors
The same was with Shapovalov. He played better but Tsonga won the most important points
Love Nick Jo
This was the last major where I feel like Nick actually put for his best effort at a major
Its so obvious now on who wins the match because the highlight thumbnail always shows the one who wins
it’s so boring
But I saw loser on the thumbnail a few times
Annoying, eh? They mention the outcome in the description as well. Are you reading this AOTV? I've already mentioned this on another video. Please change it
Can't avoid it really - with past tournaments the names of the next match-up are even shown in the suggested list....
Sorry to tell you that mate!
Yes they can, they can simply write sth like 'Highlights of NK's 3rd round match with JT" and use a different image for the thumbnail. Incredibly simple. I don't really read into the names of the next match-up on the suggested list. My suggested list shows the highlights of all the games so how would that give the score away?
guillezorro as in, the title of the next match shows who advances from current match...capische?
I love Nick's forehand. He can use it as a flat cannon, but also really good at the rallies. Look at his forehand around sec 00:30 or so, thats a really good way to annoy some opponents, and a great way to build your point
Kyrgios will be a champion
Kyrgios actually said in an interview with Mike Tyson that Tsonga was his role model. He actually molded his game around Tsonga's
Nick! What a way for this young man to come through! Dimitrov definitely need his A game - and a good serve :-)
Megale Nick Kyrgio❤❤🇬🇷🇦🇺
Epic 4th set tie break for Jo...from 5*-2 5 point lost in a row :(
Dat single handed backhand down the line doe
Wow those stats, great match
alot of respect at the net
As a Greek myself i want him so bad to win a Grand Slam in the future. In this one i think he can reach till semifinals but he'll lose from Nadal...
Azor Αζώρ Stefanos Tsipsitas is the only Greek player with a great future.
Stefanos is the real deal. Guy is the most polish person i've ever seen. Remind me some of Antetokoumpo's charachter. You greeks are great people!
Not sure what you mean by Tsitsipas being "the most polish person" but from watching him myself in a few matches this year, I'm really excited to see how he develops and what level he'll reach, very talented.
They should play doubles together. They seem like a great team
Nice match!
If you are not a fan of Kyrgios I feel sorry for you, and you must be a really boring person. He's the most exciting player on tour and not a robot like most players. He actually has a personality, and it's great for the sport. Unreal win Nick!
Jacob Thompson I think so too
I am a Grigor fan but i like Nick too (not as much as Dimi tho)
I´m a Fed fan but I love Kyrgios.
So exciting to watch and I don´t care about his outbursts, he´s authentic and brings fresh air to the tour.
Jacob Thompson lol
Read my comment again Wilbart Tandadu. It means you're a boring person.
Kyrgios is my favorite player to watch besides Fed.
2:20 backhand switchup
good job, Nick!
最後笑って話してるとこ感動する
Nick's backhand is strange. He knows how to get winners with it, but its not so consistent. Watch how he loses the rallies because of his backhand being underwhelming
I agree. Strange technique - hit's it very flat with hardly any back swing. Looks amazing when he has time but defensively it is very weak as a shot.
Rik Wolland agree but his serve makes up for it, so when he gets his serve in the returns are going to come back slow and that gives him time I guess
He has Roddick’s backhand. Technique and everything is the same has Roddick’s.
He's much better than Roddick at hitting winners with it. It's bad for defence, but it's good for disguise.
Caleb Pereira True. I always thought it was a mixture between Roddick, Murray and Tsonga.
キリオスゲェー
continue to be serious dear Nicky.
Wtf never expected to see Will Smith here 😂 2:40
Marketing! Will Smith is the representation of color if you know what I mean
It’s crazy how this match will soon be 6 years ago…
Everyone knows that Nick has gr8 talent. But that was a complete meltdown by Tsonga in the 4th.
Can anyone tell me what is the song playing during Nick entrence please ? Thank you so much !!
Keep it up, man.
28 aces for both players
Not gonna lie, I see kygrios in the semis of this tournament.
4:28 Calvin Klein.
some stroke of genius but more are needed to face rafael
Hopefully nick continues this great tennis
Booi Tsonga won more points
Flea bitten Because tsonga served a lot better, he wo his service games 40-0 while Kyrgios won his 40-30/adv-40 so there’s tsonga winning 2 more points than Kyrgios each service game, and when there’s 7-6 4-6 7-6 7-6 there is nothing between them, sorry if it was confusing.
2:38 Was that the Fresh Prince?
No,it was Will Smith!!!!😂
No he was that blue genie from aladdin
no, its the "thats hot" dude from youtube rewind
2:40 it’s rewind time 😂😂
One handed Tsonga’s backhand S2
Love nick!
TSONGA POWERFUL THAN NOVAK
what happened at 5:08 that nick apologized for? it didnt hit the net...
Hit Tsonga knee
I feel semifinalists would be nadal, kyrgios, fed, djokovic
strasne price bt i guess it wud be nick vs fed
no way kyrgios gets past nadal.
Radu Vlad yaa... Its tough call.. Bt seeing the way kyrgios serves.. Mann its so consistent and almost matches with fed.
I am a big Federer fan but seems like from the first two rounds he is not 100 fit in this tournament. Hope I am mistaking
Tao Paille-Paille i think he takes out whatever is required to win the match. He is one of the very few players on tour ryt nw who does a detailed study on the opponent b4 the match... Nd i dont c any reasn y he shud be unfit.. He ws flawless in hopman cup.
STOP SHOWING THE FUCKING WINNER IN THE THUMBNAIL
So happy tsonga lost 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 LETS GO NICK!!!
This is a historic moment. It's the first time a kid who was a fan of a player who got several balls signed by that player grew up and beat that very same player in a grand slam. lol. wtf?
they actually have a pretty similar style of play...
At least Jo won an Australian Open--more than Kyrgios will ever do
No
Awww. Too bad. I love the addidas kits. Especially this one on tsonga. Now all that's left are the dudes in pink. The pink hurt s my eyes. Lol
Rod Laver out here lookin like Chancellor Palpatine and Kygrios is Vader
It can be seen that it's true when kirgios said that tsonga were a fan ! And 2 Monfils !
Which racket is used by nick
Go nick
Damn Jo
Tsonga was playing with style, gyros was only smashing balls
Will!
でもやっぱtsonga好きだわ
@1:08 I swear they both have the same backhand form
A good test for Kyrgios with a passing grade.
So disrespectful for Kyrgios’ dad to whistle like that after every point Nick wins. Heard him doing at The Laver Cup too. Just a tactic to irritate Nick’s opponents.
5:55 if you look at the stats it semms like Tsonga won!
tsonga is a big guy, buy know i realize how big nadal is.
how has tsonga stayed good for so long with such a poor back hand? it looks like he has no feel or touch for what shot to play. He changes between a one hander and a two hander, his slice isn't yet, he has managed to remain at the top of world tennis for so long
Look at 1.50 Min, he has a god back hand but its is irregular.
Tennis is so crazy. Weird that a player can win more total points and still lose. That never clicked with me till now
The one handed tho haha 2:25
Will smith
Will Smith is a Tsonga fan and Rod Laver is a Kygrios fan.
Flea bitten you would think btw they cut it.
I think it maybe the opposite. Rod Laver wrote Nick off.
Tsonga total points 144, Kyrgios total points 142... Disappointing.
yeah, it's like when Trump won but got less votes
@@theroo20182 yeah but Trump got more votes from the candidates in the parties...

C'est comme d'hab, celui qui monte le moins au filet gagne, pauvre tennis :-(
3Rでは勿体無いカード
5:31 Women never act like this! Men are way more supportive of each other.
2:40 ウィル・スミス???
Hohh yeah
