- Hey again everyone! So sorry for the total lack of videos on the channel recently, I've been super busy with some real exciting stuff including a mad trip to Iceland that I'm currently editing together!
Today I'm taking you along to a full day wedding with me with the use of BTS.
This BTS Wedding Day sees us at Harewood House, Leeds for Jade & Ollie's wedding!
I attached my GoPro to show you all the different parts of the day and how I photography weddings.
You'll hear all my instructions for couple portraits and you'll see me photographing everything from morning prep with Jade all the way through to the end of the day - the photos I took at each moment will also appear on screen so you can see the final outcome from the BTS.
For this wedding I used the Sony A7IV, the Sony A7RIV and my lenses were the Sigma 50mm Art Lens 1.4, the Sigma 35mm Art Lens 1.4 and the Sigma 85mm Art Lens 1.4.

As a wedding photographer, your style and way of being with the couple and all the guests is so simple and human, it's really something we don't see very often

I think it’s super important to have a totally natural and personable relationship with the people you’re photographing - it always helps so much throughout the day because people see you as you and not someone who’s working if you get me

Your flash photography is also very simple and "raw", I really like that, it's direct and it focuses on the moment and the people. A lot of wedding photographer are more focused to have "the perfect lightning process", it's a choice but for me the couple, the family and the guests are the main subject/story of the day

love this behind the scenes!! So laid back and the wedding looked like great fun. Amazing shots...curious though, the shot list was genius! Did the family provide that or do you give it to someone to get everyone together?
Yeah that was something the family provided! Made it SO much easier. I do tend to advise for less group shots which makes that easier but they went all out 😂

And yeah, I shot with a mix of the IV & RIV but majority just the IV as it’s a lot better than the R in low light
Beautiful photos and I love how you worked with the couple. I have questions as a Sony shooter, Do you shoot AWB or kelvin? What focus setting were you on? Love the natural skin tones, do you use a preset?
Thank you so much! So I shoot Kelvin most of the day, always on continuous autofocus too! The preset I use is the one I've created :) they're based off of Benj Haisch's cascade presets (that's what I used at the start!)
The photos are really great 👍. I’m looking to buy second lens for my Sony A7IV. I have Sigma 24-70 as my primary lens. Which lens should I buy next? I’m confused between Sigma 85 1.4 and 50 1.4.
You should definitely buy the 50!! It’s the best lens I’ve ever used. It’s such a beautiful piece of kit!
