It sucks when you engage a Tiger I, thinking it is yet another awful german main... But, to your horror, he is Otto Carius reincarnated and he destroys your entire team, getting a double ace in the process.
The vast majority of the front on engagements I have with Tiger I's from 4.7-5.0 US tend to end in victory for me with many Tiger players even normalizing the angle when they spot me while angled. But when its a skilled Tiger player, I usually end up getting flanked, ambushed or sniped from unexpected places.
I love it when some german main in a tiger II H sees me in my sherman and thinks "haha he can't do anything against muh superior german engineering" and then you meme his barrel off and suddenly he's just going maximum panic.
What was funny today was that I was doing a Special Task to get 15 kills in an SPAA, and I was using my Wirblewind and Ostwind to get the kills. Actually went better than I thought it would, but what was really funny was the fact that my german teams were actually not that bad. It's this weird thing I've noticed lately, either the german teams are terrible or they're like Rommel during the first Tour De France, there's no in-between.

strange, this is my absolute favourite tiger variant even if people know of the weakspots it can just rock back and forth so fast that they cant hit you properly, also can stand up to bigger guns that just smack into your front and do nothing bit slower forwards than the regular tiger but reverse speed is so juicy
Honestly, the Porsche Tiger is really fun when you know how to play it right and can single-handedly hold back a push with the 200mms of armor and reverse gears
Hopefully, you're just talking about the game and not the real-life version. That tank was so bad that the Germans had to scrap the entire program and repurpose the chassis that they had already built (a pretty big overcommitment) into rear-line mobile artillery. Even then, it still sucked, but it sucked slightly less as a result of not needing to move around as much.

As a man who exclusively plays Germany, I 100% agree with how frustrating it is to have teammates who play Germany. Though, I actually think this version of the Tiger is the best out of the 4 or 5 we have in the game. People often mistake it for an un-angled Tiger H1 from a distance, so they shoot the 200mm plates. The way to make the tank even more crazy is to hide the cupola and frontal armor with bushes. Shells just bounce and bounce.

German teams are so bad... and Gaijin is partly responsible for it, they have good cannons but, even German heavy tanks feel like light tanks at heir BR. Hence the "Not Pushing Part". On the flip side Soviet teams are very aggressive, because not only is do they have good armor (You actually have to hit the weak points), but also their canons are good enough to take any German vehicle at their BR, no exceptions.

I started out as Germany and I found their most pressing issue that they often don't commit / commit when it's too late (KD is more important than winning I guess). Then I played USA, which I found to be quite often campers / wait until 75% of the enemy team is dead before they rush caps. Lastly I went Soviet/Rus and they either camp OR blitzkrieg until they can spawn a pe-8 or ka-50/2 and more often than not get send straight to the hangar...
There are two German players, the ones everyone makes fun of and can't drive to save their life- or the ones who know every spot, angle, weakness of everything and everyone in hte game who Crossman you through three bushes and a tree after identifying the 2 pixel weak spot on your tank.
Pro-tip ; Tiger I P also have thin amor plates behind front weels, so if you cant pen its hull cheeks or copula you can shoot at the upper part of front weel - the effective armor there is even lesser but damage ir pure rng - either ammorack or bugged shraphnel killing one crew member
Because low and mid-tier Soviet tanks are so fucking easy that their mains being braindead doesn't actually impact them, and American mains only play the tanks to get spawnpoints for CAS. That, and being bitchy about Germany in WT will get you tons of applause, which is pretty nice for a RUclipsr.
This is funny cause most of the time when playing my Japanese tanks I get paired with the German teams like that. You're not supposed to play Japan as forward as I do but when noone holds W and caps or kills then you do what you've gotta do.
Fortunately however, almost everybody at 5.7 doesn’t know how to kill a Tiger P from the front so you’re practically invincible from the hull but some tanks can pen your turret with a lucky shot or by shooting the cupola and taking out the whole turret crew
This thing is one of my favorite tanks to play, having that 200mm plate with the turret angled and that reverse speed has gotten me so many 10+ kill games, I adore it Yea you get the german teams but as a German main I'm used to it and become better by filling people's skill gaps

If they're going to put it at 5.7 they need to give it better mobility and especially turret speed. Why are the soft stats on it just utter shite? As it currently is, the Tiger P deserves to be in 5.3
As someone who sometimes does stupid shit in this BR I'll tell you why. Repair costs, and not having Premium. I don't want to die cause I can't afford the repairs so I just camp, and make stupid mistakes from being too scared. I like the tanks, but if I die I'm out of action for 2 days.
I absolutely love using this tank for the straight up fact that I just use a rock to hide the corner that is vulnerable and I instantly have auto ricochet for everything but heatfs
Love the salt. The problem with German mains is that they're just playing for the sake of getting the tanks they like, usually they are very new players. Someone who has around 4000 hours in the game shouldn't be this salty at inexperienced players.

@@mortuen Exactly, when I was new to realistic games I had no idea what I was doing, that's most of the players at 5.7. It's hard to help someone pushing dead into enemy spawn because crossing over would be a death sentence. His team was very good at maintaining and playing objective.
Surprisingly I have been getting extremely good german teams this week. Shocked at how powerfull Germany can be if everyone is competitive. Also helped having 2 bf109 f4 to counter the stupid US revenge CAS

the matches you showed was an axact copy of how a normal match is with this tank, usually 5-15 kills but just full of team mates with the brain capacity of a burned patato
Whenever I wanna feel good about myself, I play 5.3-6.7 Germany and look at all the nice kills my teammates leave for me to grab. I don’t win that many battles but I sure do get some high kill games lol. Anyways, love the video Odd!
I had a teammate who watched me die twice. Once why I looking the other way I assumed he was watching my flank two guys pull up and doesn’t do anything while he’s staring at them I snap shot kill one and die. He kills the other. I come back to the same spot I killed one but I’m repairing he knows another tank comes up I ask for help he hides and watches me die when he’s the only one with a gun capable of taking it out.
Odd the PZ. 4 H was moved to 3.7. Could you do a vid about it? I think the problem is that the 2.7~3.0 struggle to kill it frontally while the PZ has the 75mm that one shots everything even in higher tiers.
Not to mention you can have 7 or 8 tanks at that br with a 75 mm I believe. It’s so stupid. I had a Russian 3.3 to 3.7 lineup it’s barley fun to play anymore.
Most players think they see a Tiger H and try to shoot the hull front, when its not angled, that's why it survives. With bushes it can be even more bait-able. The speed nerf kind of ruined the tank for me tough. And I also noticed weird behavior in top WW2 German teams, but i rarely play 5.7-7.0 Germany for years now, - do to BR compression + missile-thunder on 7.3, not to mention the mouse guided MILAN on 6.7, - so I can't tell if its a new/cummon thing or not.
One reason why I love playing Germany is because I can use the bad teammates as bait since they lack Brain cells of course you have to give it to them they don't give up easily

As a German main who actually tries to be a good teammate, knows how to angle, and shoots for weak spots, and at least tries to play strategically, I can confirm that most German mains have room temperature IQs.
At the beginning of war thunder Germany was an underdog vs RU. The German teams were fighting hard to make up for it. Today I can’t play Germany anymore, too many players quit after one death. The German player base changed a lot. Sad though, I miss the old “Kampfgeist” of the old.
I swear gaijin has been astroturfing the game with bots recently, I've had people ignore me after I miss a shot with the KV-2 only to sit there and get bonked after my reload is up and I haven't been revenge bombed in weeks
i wonder where the people are from who mainly play germany. i play germany because there are a handful things i wanna try (Maus, Ju 87 with the 37mm, wanna hunt bombers with that 50 or 75mm cannon plane etc) but so far the only thing i got to is hunting planes with the dual 37mm Ju :D i rarely play and the grind even at low BR is way too long imo

Definitely not the worst tiger in the game. Imo it’s one of the best Tiger 1s if not the best, I enjoy that tank fully.

Whenever I wanna feel good about myself, I play 5.3-6.7 Germany and look at all the nice kills my teammates leave for me to grab. I don’t win that many battles but I sure do get some high kill games lol. Anyways, love the video Odd!

I had a teammate who watched me die twice. Once why I looking the other way I assumed he was watching my flank two guys pull up and doesn’t do anything while he’s staring at them I snap shot kill one and die. He kills the other. I come back to the same spot I killed one but I’m repairing he knows another tank comes up I ask for help he hides and watches me die when he’s the only one with a gun capable of taking it out.

Odd the PZ. 4 H was moved to 3.7. Could you do a vid about it? I think the problem is that the 2.7~3.0 struggle to kill it frontally while the PZ has the 75mm that one shots everything even in higher tiers.
Not to mention you can have 7 or 8 tanks at that br with a 75 mm I believe. It’s so stupid. I had a Russian 3.3 to 3.7 lineup it’s barley fun to play anymore.

Most players think they see a Tiger H and try to shoot the hull front, when its not angled, that's why it survives. With bushes it can be even more bait-able. The speed nerf kind of ruined the tank for me tough.
And I also noticed weird behavior in top WW2 German teams, but i rarely play 5.7-7.0 Germany for years now, - do to BR compression + missile-thunder on 7.3, not to mention the mouse guided MILAN on 6.7, - so I can't tell if its a new/cummon thing or not.

meanwhile some of us only get points cause Gaijin still has to award something for being killed so we've only gotten as far as we did by "failing up the ladder" and Odd over here saying he's having a bad time while double acing. As a German main who actually tries to be a good teammate, knows how to angle, and shoots for weak spots, and at least tries to play strategically, I can confirm that most German mains have room temperature IQs.

At the beginning of war thunder Germany was an underdog vs RU. The German teams were fighting hard to make up for it. Today I can’t play Germany anymore, too many players quit after one death. The German player base changed a lot. Sad though, I miss the old “Kampfgeist” of the old.

i wonder where the people are from who mainly play germany. i play germany because there are a handful things i wanna try (Maus, Ju 87 with the 37mm, wanna hunt bombers with that 50 or 75mm cannon plane etc) but so far the only thing i got to is hunting planes with the dual 37mm Ju :D i rarely play and the grind even at low BR is way too long imo

as a german main my self i didnt come to the tree for the tiger 1 or because i watched Girls Und Panzer etc. i came to the tree just because of the low to mid tier tanks because they are good tanks for their range and their effectivness. The high tier i am not boverd about because the games are finished in 5 mins. most players tend to agree with me not the brainless mains that are conciderd normal german mains go to the tiger thinking its the best, either they have seen them alright documentries or they have seen Girls Und Panzer. I watch anime, i dont watched that tentcle and hanime shit that you expect a normal weeb to watch.
For my experiance i research the tanks in my free time because i grew up with cosins loving tanks so it was my intrest and still is. my grandfather was a enginer on the front lines of the battle for france and the evacuation of dunkirk. He mostly worked on tanks and armoured vehcals. for war thiunder i play soviet, japanese, sweedish and the british trees in war thunder so i am technically not a german main but i play germany the most nowadays. I knew that you where saying that stuff for the joke. i am jsut writing this for the player who doesnt understand about the mains of germany or the normal german mains who understand but see the comments saying that german mains are shit etc.
