im 46 and a gear head / technician also disabled. shame on me. im just trying my hand at body and paint. im blind as a bat too lol. your vids are a great help to me thank you sir. even though im late to the party.
why didn't you use the trick of welding the edges first and then middle of the old fender i mean when should i use this trick and the other path of welding hen should i use it ? and thank you for these tips :)
What is really needed is not reading glasses. It is reading safety googles. They are not expensive. You can order them online. I use a 2.0 diopter safety glasses that protect my eyes and also allow me to weld and do detail work. Just another tip. Don't order bifocals. It limited your head positioning especially in the over head position .
I know what you mean. I wear bifocals and I have trouble seeing at times. I will now go to Walmart and pick up some cheap reading glasses for welding. Thanks
I am real old and need reading glasses. I got a cheater lens and I can see the weld puddle ok, but i cannot see the seam that i need to weld on. Is there a way to mark the line somehow so that the seam to be welded can be seen or what is the method used by beginners like me. It is my first time mig welding.
like the clamps to keep good gaps on butt welds, but i am doing some but welds on boxed sections on my project and those clamps simply will not work. how do you get around that for boxed sections?
Jason Browne I am in college I can make sure tomorrow but im pretty sure you cant but you can always be too hot an blow a hole :) I mean if you want to just blow a hole throw for a weld then break it I guess you could consider it a cut but it is not like arc gouging
George R Pasalich get one and learn I suggest a small ac/dc lincoln electric stick welder it will do a lot of home stuff and it will be fun and not gas required so no welding bottles needed just safety glasses welding hood gloves and I would suggest a bsx welding jacket with heavy duty sleaves and a lillte research on electrodes and you are good to start learning and once you can learn the stick welding you will have the basics to pick up other welding processes like this mig welder or pick up a lincoln power mig 210 mp it is a dc stick lift arc dc tig dc mig and has a spool gun option also comes with 110v and 220v
What if I'm patching a hole in my firewall where I can't just simply clamp the piece on to the firewall? For example; if I'm plunging a 2" hole that's on the firewall, how do I keep the piece I'm using to plug it with in place? Is there a tac epoxy or something? I was going to just use some duct tape...LoL
Michael Gesner Just think, if you'd remained silent; no one would have known how ignorant you are. Mig is better for people who bothered to learn how to use it; like me. oxy/ acetylene my ass.
Well John that mig weld looks like shit. I was taught by the California State Welding Inspecter. My oxy acetylene weld is by far nicer and stronger. The mig weld is way too hot for that thin tin.
Michael Gesner Unbelievable; you did it again. I can see it now; fifty guys on the shop floor with gas hand pieces, melting fish-mouthed tubing together 1/4" at a time; no wait--that was 1939. Oh, well. There's knob on the box, Michael, you turn it down for thin metal. and there's no such person as "the California State Welding Inspecter". Good luck.
Both videos have been very helpful. Thank you kindly.
Like it when you are live . We can see the mistakes and the cure! Great job!

13:00 he’s also blowing through because he’s trying to tack the edges. When he tacks the middle it takes more heat before blowing out.
good job kevin we learn alot from u and esatwood
Good job Kevin I learned a lot thanks to you
great Mig welding tips thank you so much.
Very welcome
Definitely exciting to watch and listen. Great presentations.
What is best video on the protection of rust before welding panels that create areas not accessible afterwards for rust protection?
This video is so helpful in so many way!
Trung Nguyen how?
Good video! Took several notes. Gonna buy some of those gap clamps. Thanks
Well done. Lots of great tips. Much appreciated. Thanks.
Very informative. Thank you
Getting ready to start welding school..
How do you slightly adjust?
How do you know when to?
I thought the settings were perfect
Excellent video Kevin. Very well done man!
Very helpful! I just learned more techniques.
Great job with the video. I also liked that you showed your mistake with the improper settings on the welder. It's an easy mistake to make.

Thx, very educational... you explain it very well...
Kevin do you have a video where you tack weld or,using the gap magnets, or stitch weld and you sand the weld down where it's even?
Kevin, Video's 1 and 2 are very informative. They are helping me with my Mustang project. Thank you. Mitch.
TIG is so much easier. I’m going to learn MIG this year.

When it comes to welding; there is always experts and critics 🤣
HipStar or just people with experience who can also offer information 🤷🏻♂️
Good video but you can see how far along these videos have come. Way better on the newer ones but still GREAT video 👍🏻
Thanks Kevin, great tips!
Thanks kevin good video keep up the good work!
could it be used to cut metals joint together just like stick welding with the red electrode at a certain amperage?

On the glasses & ageing, spot on! Best teacher! You get my like at 665th :)
@ 7:28 ...good job Ken.
use a 1/4 or 3/16 for spot/ rosette welds an get some tig gloves for sheet metal work
Kevin....always in the bathroom blowing lines before videos -all kidding aside, he knows his blow - (through) - good video
Thank you from Germany for all advice. Like No 986

Buenísimo gracias por tu time
This is gold, thanks!
Western Sizzling in Harrison it as close to perfect as possable

More livestreams!

Great beginner video. It did help me out by refreshing my memory. Thanks Eastwood. But Kevin's sniffing is making me sick.
I feel like he sniffed some snow
Lmfao
You sound like Joe Dirt ( I put the lotion on the skin) ( lifes a garden dig it )
I would have used oxy/acetylene to weld that thin stuff. Mig is better for thicker metals.

Michael Gesner depends on filler metal thickness
Michael Gesner and tig is where its at if you want a pretty looking weld just takes a lil more finesse
Tweaking!!!
Omg this is so funny Mr sniffer no good at welding or presenting a good welder has a natural feel for the metal
Do yourself a favour and get some lightweight welding gloves for this low power work, the gloves you are using are for heavy power applications.
🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Jesus put the camera behind a shield so we can see the actual weld
Is this a joke or prank? This is ridiculous !! LOL
ধন্যবাদ
was this a joke? was the welder sick all I seen was a person tacking things this video
I thought this vid was getting the "perfect weld" and NOT about punching holes in sheet metal and what not. Stay focused man. You're off track.
¿ seriously ?
Only those people that have no experience in welding think this videos good.I have been welding since 1990 and I could tell you it's not .Do the math
Luis Vasallo thank you so much this guys needs to look into education
this guy is paranoia as hell
Does Eastwood also sell cocaine?
