Oh I absolutely love Shabani! Especially when he puts on a show for the visitors..walking across the ropes, sliding across the floor indoors and my personal favorite....when him and Nene do their love chase 😍🤣.

DJ is basically an animated jungle gym for his little boys and they make the most of it! I love how when he moves they always follow. They are learning how to be a man, basically. He’s gentle but he has a limit. When he needs to snap into action his movements are so rapid and yet his giant hands are so gentle with the kids. Got to love the big guy! 😊
He is so massive and fierce looking,yet calm and loving all at once....as I said, he's a Silverback Buddha... radiating serenity, strength and love.I hope he is happy. Sometimes I think he looks unhappy in his facial expression, but,that could just be his natural continence, and I could be projecting... I know he was born in captivity, so, it is all he has ever known.... I am glad D'jeeco has a family and two sons to play with. He seemed to quite enjoy interacting with them. Just beautiful! Two beautiful little gorillas and their beautiful MASSIVE Silverback Buddha dad enjoy each other's company in the now..... Beautiful.
D'Jeeco's large hands picks them up like little toys. He certainly is such a lovely playful dad. although I think he is always on the look for the mums who are ready to chase him off the boys. xx
This troop, I don’t know them for so long, have a beautiful interact with each other; Mama Tayari is really hugging with D’Jeeco, lovely to her son, lovely to her nephew Rico. Iriki almost the same, both boys love their father. I have a beautiful troop I follow, the Mokolo troop in Cleveland Meteopark Zoo in Ohio. Lots of surprises there and 3 children from different age so the best is to come this year. But the love between the parents….. no, not in the way I see here. I start to follow this troop also, very nice to see. Thanks for the beautiful footage
I noticed that after Jabali surprised dad on his first climb on his head that dad was on the look out so Jabali would mit climb on him again. Notice that after a few failed attempts, Jabali realizes that he has to be sneaky acts like he has given up and then goes in again and is successful. The last fake out is even better. Jabali looks around, like nothing, gradually walks to dads back and looks around again and when he has his opening again, he quickly goes in again. Jabali is so smart, you can see his little mind working to solve his dilemma and does not give up easily. Poor dad has to try and get away. I really enjoy watching this family.
Wow such loving moments between the infants and their Dad and Mom, captured very well. Than you and appreciate everyone's effort in keeping these species safe and making them thrive in the wild.

I love all of this, but I thought it was the cutest when Daddy D'Jeeco gently picked up Ringo to play, too, bc Ringo was still a little timid around Daddy. Ringo isn't shy anymore, though! And Jabali has NEVER been shy with Daddy, it seems! Lolol ❤🦍❤

Shabani is the best father period! He spent hours looking at the window at his daughter. Then he raised , grooming and protect her and even today he still looks and protects her. He was a father and mother to her and never ever other Gorilla did what he did for her. Check the story of a girl gorilla raised by a silverback!
I can see this video went up a while back. I have seen videos of his female companions going up to him and embracing him and wanting to be near him. As for videos of the other silverbacks, the females avoid them or move in fear of them. So this silverback migh be the exception. Lucky females to have been placed with him.
