Only for idiotic humans to consistently demolish her chances by throwing her that dumb blanket she hides under, separating her from the troop and any hope of appearing "normal" to the other monkeys. They were beyond patient with her constant extreme clingyness, psychosis, dramatics and CONSTANT squalling and squeaking. I heard a sad rumor that she was gutted and killed by a male.

I love that she is so attached to her towel, but the trauma she has likely endured makes my heart ache for her. All of these “abandoned” misfits are psychologically damaged beyond repair. The humans over there doing this to them will eventually have to contend with karma, and they will deserve every ounce of pain and fear they deserve.

Do you think any of the monkeys in the "baby pet monkey" videos WANT to be wearing diapers and clothes? Also, they don't sleep in the fancy beds, you see in the videos. They get stuck in wire cages out of the way in between video shoots.

Several times the older monkeys try to pick her up and move her from danger but won't budge from that towel. Nothing is stopping her from substituting her towel for another rag as other photographers are introducing them. You don't need to be an expert on primates to see the danger

This monkey Candy was someone’s pet and when they were done with her they threw her back into the wild and as you can see, it’s very traumatizing. I feel so bad for all the monkeys that this happens to. A lot of them don’t survive when they’re thrown out like this. 😢

You really have to appreciate the fortitude in this one. It doesn't throw a tantrum or make any sound, attempt to flee or rejoin its owner, fear grimace, or try latching onto another monkey. Its firm in its resolve not to entertain its owner. Almost as if he's completely mentally checked out and has lost all hope. Sad. Poor monk.
It's a comforter. Given she was a pet monkey, her mother was likely killed soon after she was born, so that towel that she clings to is probably what she imprinted on as being her mother (given the way she doesn't run to the VOs, she presumably received nothing but cruelty from her human owners). It's the closest thing to safety she's ever known.

Yes. He left her with it and would come and feed her too right in the mix of the troop! Hold her, feed her. Then she’d fall asleep and he would leave. Then the towel was either taken from other monkeys or VO’s and it caused her to become even more freaked out.

I love that she is so attached to her towel, but the trauma she has likely endured makes my heart ache for her. All of these “abandoned” misfits are psychologically damaged beyond repair. Several times the older monkeys try to pick her up and move her from danger but won't budge from that towel. It's a comforter. Given she was a pet monkey, her mother was likely killed soon after she was born, so that towel that she clings to is probably what she imprinted on as being her mother (given the way she doesn't run to the VOs, she presumably received nothing but cruelty from her human owners). It's the closest thing to safety she's ever known.

Yes. He left her with it and would come and feed her too right in the mix of the troop! Hold her, feed her. Then she’d fall asleep and he would leave. Then the towel was either taken from other monkeys or VO’s and it caused her to become even more freaked out.
