@bartoszbrozek5176 she said that after 0:3 she just hadn't pushed herself and started to prepare for set three mentally... and that was the right decision. Sometimes, it's better to get a bagel but win in the end, she played tactically well taking into account her energy reserves...

I read in one of her interviews that she didn't have proper personal training during her formative teenage years (for some reason Russian tennis federation didn't consider her a promising prospect, that's the reason she switched to Kazakhstan btw), that's why it's very difficult for her to maintain proper form throughout the whole year. You can sometimes see how exhausted she looks comparing to Swiatek, Sabalenka, Gauff and many other players who usually look so fresh and full of energy. That's why in her case to move up in ranks it's the battle with her fitness.

The 2nd set was like a literal nightmare for the viewer and probably even more for Rybakina wtf was that? 5pts? Is that possible? Big respect for Vika she dragged out of the soul this final set tiebreak she was the one on the control but couldn't impose it unfortunately for her Rybakina isn't the kind who would be impressed by crowd pressure or any kind of pressure, sometimes it's all the player needs.

I think she kinda gave up on the second set and was prepared to give it all in the final set,was partly tactical on her part as well as she later hinted in her post match interview, to save energy for the third set once her serves weren't working as well as in the first set.

I applaud Rybakina's persistence with drop-shots. Even if it costs her a couple of points now, it's sure to become a weapon once mastered. However, she must find a way to take more of the opportunities that come her way. Not doing so makes for interesting matches, but she can't get away with it time and again.
