The string section that comes in a few bars after that time change is complete craziness. My 2nd fav strings moment on the album (behind the song Spider Silk).
The Antikythera Mechanism is an ancient Greek contraption found on the island of Antikythera in 1901. It is considered the oldest analog computer in history and could predict the motions of the planets and eclipses through a complex series of interlocked gears.
My reflections from when I did a song by song interpretation of the album: This song Celebrates human progress and the quest for knowledge, tracing humanity's journey from ancient times to our future journey to the stars. The title of the song is especially fitting as it is the first known analog computer (in a sense) and a model of the solar system. Side note: love that Lucy was brought back here and it describes the essence of the song as I interpret it "From Lucy's print, to those on the moon". A headbanging symphonic metal track with spooky melodies and middle-eastern flavors mixed with huge ever-changing soundscapes of synths, crashing riffs and as always amazing vocal performance from Floor. Listening to this again when writing this and to me it's yet another song I can't imagine any other band write, this is Nightwish.
@@ascensionenergetics85 Troy takes the life out of every song he's on ....he's just not a very good singer and it's even more apparent when he sings after Floor .....I don't understand how tuomas can't hear this......Dan's a little to over the top for me
Sadly Troy has a karaoke-y like tone...as backing vocal it works, but not as lead...loving Troy to death for his multi-instrumentalist contributions but yeah...
I don’t understand why Jukka doesn’t sing at Nightwish. He can sing (or at least growl), he’s done some singing in Wintersun’s songs (the other metal band he’s playing with). But I do like Troy’s voice, it’s soft and smooth, but I also have to say, not very versatile.
@@silverblack5475 I tend to agree that both Troy & Jukka, based on what I’ve heard, bring very limited vocal capabilities. Troy can mostly sing the melody with Floor an octave lower & I’ve also only ever heard Jukka growl. Floor can sing multiple parts. Unfortunately, you can’t hear any of that on the album & she can’t do that live.
This is quickly becoming my favorite track on the album.

It is an absolute masterpiece of an album.

I just love this song, with its cool breakdown, another master piece.
This song is some old school prog metal. I found your reaction appropriate to this 🤟
The Weave is definitely the heaviest one on that album
If you Google "Antikythera Mechanism" it will all make sense. 🤘😀🔥
Great reaction, have the same expressions like wtf 😮 then was like what a masterpiece
This song has After Forever vibes .....still dont know why Troy is in it
He’s the only contrast to Floor left. They could use someone like Dan Vasc.

And yet another song that you can’t hear the vocals or the lyrics. 🤷♂️
Get a new sound system or time to have an ear check up.😂😂
