So true. It's not only about the elegant designs and history of 90% but like you stated you can definitely find some hidden gems in 90% constitutional Silver bags. With key dates and semi key dates. Some of which are very valuable even in low grade condition. I love me some 90% they aren't making any more of them. So eventually the supply will fall and the rarity and scarcity of them will increase over time

Timely video! I just picked up a tube of Benjie Halves, a tube of Mercury Dimes, and a tube of Washington silver quarters. For fun, I also bought a tube of Morgan Dollars and a tube of Peace Dollars (although I realize that those are classified and valued differently than standard "junk silver"). Fun times!

Bought a toned ASE for my niece for her eighth birthday for 35 & Im not usually a 1oz bar guy but I also snagged 4 JM 1oz JM bars that were sealed & consecutive for 30 each!
And recently, got a 90% & a 40% Kennedy. A customer spent them at the store i work at as a cashier. I own them now. Costed me only 50 cents each!

Just got my first walking liberty silver round a few weeks back, loved it so much I more recently went to one of my lcs just to get myself my first walking liberty half, and could not resist getting a Silver Eagle on top (also my first). Also figured I'd pick up my first barber half as well and big fan of that one too! Great video man!

When you started off with the phrase Junk Silver, all of my bells started going off. I’m a coin collector first and a silver stacker a distant second .
Regardless I listened to the video before I wrote my comment.
I think that you portrayed the difference between stacking and collecting quite well.
I don’t know when you sold your 1916 D dime, but the price that you were paid was probably under what the coin was worth. But as you said you got enough to almost pay for your entire package so regardless you made a profit no matter what anybody says.
There is one thing that I think would make your stacking a little more fun for you. Buy some of those coin albums and instead of just putting them in tubes, fill the album with the coins that you have. It can be very enjoyable to finally fill one of these albums plus there’s also a bit more of a payoff for full album or you can choose to stack them in this mode.
Either way great work on the video.

90% is my fav to stack too. That's where I started getting $80 fv at my bank last spring of dimes and quarters. I have a friend that sells me dimes, quarters, and halves at melt when I get a few extra bucks.

Love 90%! Not long ago when silver was $26, these rolls were selling for $250-$270. You're right, there are no cons to this silver!

I have to agree with Bill Holter when he says that Junk silver will be the canary in the coal mine...and right now is the best time in 28 months of stacking that I've ever seen junk this cheap...I just ordered another $20 FV of Mercury dimes during the last dip friday before it went back up...I'm expecting another pull back monday morning...and if it does...I'll buy another $20 FV...smiles
I agree recently it has been pretty cheap compared to the rest of the year
It dipped again so I had to do it again...but caught the new bug same day and have been out of it for 4 days...it was worse than the c bug...and I am grateful I got sick and blessed by the market again...smiles
Since friday until tuesday this week bought at 22.26 now we're at 23.47...smiles
Franklins are my go to 90% halves, they are usually in better condition than Walkers and you don't have to check the year unlike Kennedy halves. Also based on my own observation, it seems Franklins are more harder to obtain in large quantities compared to Walkers and Kennedy.

I paid $185 per 10fv/roll so that averages out to $9.25 per $0.50 - coin. So per $1 is $18.50 and I purchased these from Great Lake Coins website
I buy about 75% junk silver and 25% 999 fine. My main 90% focus is halves, but I do buy dimes and quarters as I'm working on all three guardhouse boxes.
Not a fan of quarters but I don’t mind them if cheap. Yeah I’m about 50-50 but again it depends what I’m feeling. Been on a eagle and maple kick recently

I can understand stacking as a hobby, but not as an investment. A 5.5% CD is a better investment.
Leaving one's $ in a financial institution is becoming more and more risky. It is also not even legally yours when you deposit it in your bank. The saying is so true. " If you don't hold it, you don't own it "
To be honest I haven't started adding junk silver to my stack yet but I will probably start next year if time allows. I just ordered 5 tubes of ASE's at 26.90 per 1 oz so I was happy to get those that cheap. Yes, that's cheap to me since I've bought at 30$ per oz of ASE in the past so I'm trying dollar cost average it out. LOL If I have the money I might go ahead and add the 90% to my stack by Christmas otherwise it will be in the new year! Congrats on adding to your stack and keep stacking!

90% is great for stacking. $1.40=1oz. Silver. 🇺🇸 Mint still makes Silver state quarters.

amount of silver in it depends on the condition. walkers are going to have less silver then franklins or Kennedys because they are worn more.
I agree with owning plenty of constitutional silver. For me, it’s a no brainer for most of that to be in dimes. I had no idea about the Mercury 1916 D. I’m definitely going to be looking through my $100 face bags, some of which I purchased from my local coin shop. I bought my last bag a few months ago and while I agree with your views on these pre 1965 coins, it’s tough to pay these premiums when i was stacking bags of the stuff for almost half the price 5 or 6 years ago. Yeah unfortunately premiums on 90% is high now but it’s just going to continue to rise so we might look back in 5 years and say damn 18x -20x was a bargain 🤔
When I was a kid I was putting together a set of mercury dimes I never got the 1916D the coin shop wanted $95 for a BU in the mid 90’s 🤦🏻♂️

I'm having just a difficult time understanding your logic here. You reccomend buying 1oz or above of pure silver first before purchasing just silver. But you don't reccomend buying fractional silver pure only if it's 90% this doesn't make any sense to me.
Makes perfect sense to me. It’s simple don’t buy any silver less than 1oz unless it’s 90% silver. Little silver bars or coins are crazy high in premium and not easy to off load . 90% junk silver is different, 90% has numismatic value , it’s good for weight and the premiums are not as crazy as fractional bars or coins . Not to mention 90% is very very popular and high in demand, everyone knows what a silver quarter or half dollar is .
