Three months since this run was completed and no one has come to take it yet!!! Gotta say its super damn impressive to come and WR by 1 full minute!!! All that with a 10 second loss on the warthog flipping during the warthog run, absolutely insane pace, sub 1 :10 will be done by Zoo for sure!

Halo was one of the first video games I'd ever played a little after it came out, I played it in like kindergarten, and I never knew you could board the AA wraith, when you kill the guy inside, they always exploded for me, that's an awesome strat
Well you can board it but there's something to it. You can only board it on the same frame the pilot dies, so you have to stand in a specific spot slightly above where you avoid the boarding to nade/punch the wraith. Before you do the headshot on the brute you need to hold the boarding action and then shoot so chief gets in on that frame. The moment you leave the wraith or don't that strat, it will just explode without a driver
Can’t believe I missed a new WR by 2 months. Incredible work! Impressed by how you manage to pull off a very aggressive style. Also the number of minor mess-ups was so low - you’re on like robot tier, like wow!

I've seen the current WR holder as of 18/10/2023 and although both of you have some incredible skill, this is my much-preferred run. Everything is executed to perfection, Fluid movement and shots taken are all next level. You should be super proud of this man. I keep finding myself coming back to this run for reference when trying to beat my PB

I've played the crap out of Halo 3 on Legendary from start to finish. Once on Legendary with FOG, MYTHIC & TOUGH LUCK SKULLS activated (I died a lot on THE ARK, lol, almost gave up, but I eventually beat it). A lot of these tricks I know & have used in my playthroughs. I knew every event trigger (when they would start & end), how to avoid triggering certain enemy group spawns & some of the different level glitches to save time on a speedrun. However, I will say that there's a good amount of tricks being used in this speedrun that I was never aware of. I bet if I had kept at it, I might have some day come close to this guy's record. Oh well. I'm very impressed with your speedrun. It was an epic "at the movies" experience to watch (no ass-kissery intended). Congrats dude!
Every single year people are smashing world record titles for Halo legendary playthroughs. One day every single Halo game will be beaten and under 1 hour.. which is insane because Halo is a cinematic story with long missions.. good work but you are going to have the Halo speedrunning community going off the walls trying to retake their WR back 🤣🤺
I've done it a few times. He makes it look easy, but every time I do it, the wraith backs up and does a 360 making me dizzy. Overcharging it with the PP interrupts it from moving but still aggravating. I've been trying to work on the ghost skip just up from this though. Just drive a ghost up a mountain on your left as you progress past the banshee and turrets. It despawns the entire next section with the wraith and turrets, etc. I just can't get it to let me walk up to the top of the hill after getting out of the ghost at the top.
Sierra 117 is truly a tough mission if you're going for Deathless. Took me around 20 attempts to get 4 perfect runs on Heroic. I'm currently on my 13th attempt on Legendary, I can get all the way to that final skip before the end, then it gets tricky 😢
