Trash ass studio can’t properly port any civ games to mac without breaking multiplayer saves every patch and the KOTOR remake was another thing entirely. I dont say it for many studios but I sincerely hope they go out of business given their lack of decent ports of pretty basic games

If I remember correctly, Ventress and Kit Fisto, as well as a few maps, were exclusive to Xbox when the og game was released (hence why they're not on the vanilla steam version). But I don't remember if they came with the game day one or in a later expansion...

Also with the update they were found to have bundled up community mods instead of using in house programmers to patch alot of the bugs without crediting the mod creators.

I think you could spawn on contested points as long as your side held it last and you haven't been pushed off it. When capping a CP, there's 2 bars, the first is to remove your enemy's control, and the second is actually taking it, and during the first half, the defending side can still spawn, but they stop spawning during the second half.

I heard the problem is that all the textures are just uncompressed in the game files. And that's bad because it makes them take longer to load (as decompressing is faster than loading) and it takes up wayyyyy more space on the hard drive.

This game is a fucking mess. From what I've heard, anyone who hosts a game is capped at 30 frames for some stupid reason. AND The Xbox exclusive content port is supposedly just a stolen mod from the orignal pc version.
You can buy the original game and just mod in the xbox DLC and add some texture packs to clean it up. The multiplayer itself is not worth the sell price, and personally for me, it was always about the campaign and conquest mode
But the Master Collection at least brings Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 to the PC for the first time. And it does bring at least a few quality of life changes.
