@@Latoshajsinspiration I think it's possible to hack the game to control the bosses, but I think you just can't finish the level as them. You just control him around, but you still have to beat him as Sonic to continue the game. So, I don't think it's really worth it.
my favorite one is the one that buzzer I think that one was the best because you can skip the whole level and Dr. Egg man can't hurt you when you are the buzzer because you are flying and he is super easy because you can attack him in the air.😁👍
The red rings probably represent the purple coins from mario odyssey. Also did you notice you got the combo points bonus when shooting multiple enemies as the buzzy bomber, since it didn't think you were touching the ground between kills.

I'm glad you were able to get some fun out of the demo :3 Unfortunately, I don't think I'll end up working on it again for awhile (2017, when the project started, was a very different time for me), but I could definitely do far more with it if I came back. Some fun facts: If you go in the options, 'Buzzer' is a playable character! So you can play as buzzer through all of Sonic 2 if you really wanted to! Below the options is a 'level select' option that brings you to a hub zone! It has fancy palette stuff and has an easter egg to visit Green Hill Zone (rolling on a certain slope lets you clip to a lower level) Aquatic Ruin zone and Hidden Palace Zone also have partial capture support, though like Crabmeat and Newtron, most of them have no function. I think you could control the red dino in Hidden palace in a very glitchy unfinished fashion though. Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the newest project files, so I'd likely have to reimplement a lot of bug fixes and features if I revived the project. There are also some conceptual/game design problems; Chemical Plant has two very sparsely placed enemies that both move really slowly and can't do anything interesting on their own, that was a big stopping block. I could add new badniks into the zone pretty easily nowadays; I'd probably have to do that, and then add something for grabber to play with.

This, why this was just amazing! It'd definitely be even better than player 2 controlling the enemies and definitely better than the Super Mario World version of this, the Oddysey music sometimes, and also like, the enemies turning blue, the custom levels and also bonus challenges, also kinda thought it was funny that in the Muncher Fish challenge, when you died, it kinda looked like you scored for killing that robot and the animal you saved was a big hedgehog, since when you save animals when you kill robots the animals looking like their doing a death animation. Also my favourite was the Buzzy Bomber (haha, sounds like somethin' off Mario, oh yeah, like Buzzy Beets, and so no wonder that's your favourite too). If they finish this game, that would be awesome and it would definitely be worth playing more of, this was almost as good the Thomas the Tank Engine and the Scorched Quest hack. Thanks for uploaded, you have definitely been uploading some juiciness lately and I am gonna also watch that epic sounding video about a Zelda hack of Super Mario World. Keep up the great work! 🏆
11:50 you captured the wrong Newtron. Instead of Yellow one (which only shoot a projectile then disappear), you should capturing the Red one (they can go hover all around the map)
Also the corrupt green hill is also on the level select menu apparently there is a secret if u go to aquatic ruin head right and go on the slopes that u can clip on if u maneuver sonic and head left and u can see 3 pipes the three pipes include green hill, labyrinth and marble.
It's actually there for the same reason as the tails monitor in Hidden Palace, funnily enough; I hadn't finished Sonic 1 support by this point, so Sonic 1 monitors arbitrarily transform into Sonic 2 monitors, allowing quirky ones like the tails monitor to show up.
