- Too many stigmas are stopping people that want to lose weight. I started my gastric sleeve journey (vertical sleeve gastrectomy) in December 2020 and I lost over 130 pounds! Since then, I've connected with so many people that want to lose weight, who have shared their successes and fears about having weight loss surgery. A lot of those fears are based on stigma! Hopefully these points will help end those stigmas on weight loss surgery.

Have you heard any comments similar to these about weight loss surgery that hasn't made sense? Let me know what it was and what you thought about it! ♥
Off topic. I’m currently goin through the insurance process to get surgery done as well. I’m so excited and nervous but I’m glad I stumbled across your videos!.
I did have some questions
what vitamins do you take ??
Did you have to check your blood pressure after surgery??
I was over 400lbs back in Nov 2021. After having a bad Pneumonia from COVID the 2nd time, I realized I had to do something. I have done diets. I have done exercise but my love for food and stress from working in the hospital and pain left me getting bigger and bigger. Enter my friend Mars. He suggested I start moving. I did the 75 Hard Challenge with him and that month, I saw my PCP and I got a referral to see the Surgeon and doctors that perform Gastric Sleeve. After many hours in the gym. Many miles on the treadmill and the sidewalks. After watching what I eat and drink. I gotten the Sleeve on April 28th, 2022, and as of now I lost 178lbs! I'm faster now, I am stronger now, and I am happier.
This is me before surgery trying everything
I don’t think it’s anyone’s business but yours. Your health is your responsibility and it shouldn’t matter how you get healthy as long as you do get healthy.
I'm scheduled for next week. This is one of the best videos I've watched related to bariatric surgery.
Hi Megan. I was just approved for Bariatric program and watched several of your videos. I am saddened that this is the most recent video for you as I have found your content reassuring. I hope you are well.

Hi Megan. This is a great video, very well articulated.
Can I ask how is your hair regrowth going? Which products if any would you recommend post surgery?
Thank you for sharing this videos! 😁
Thanks for watching! 😀
Thanks!
Thank You Megan
P.s I am the girl from the fb group, that asked about you posting here.
Which FB group? I would like to join. Sleeve scheduled for next month.
My liver shrinking diet does have solid foods, but it's healthy solid foods and small amounts. Like 2 cups of veggies for lunch and dinner with 3 oz of protein and for breakfast a protein, some dairy, and some fruit. My biggest problem is not being able to drink liquids except for protein shakes or milk 30 minutes before eating and 30-45 minutes after. My ADHD meds make me have cotton mouth so I'm really thirsty. Also training myself not to chew and swallow at the same time, chewing foods more thoroughly. I only drink water and protein drinks so drinking water isn't a big deal to me.
Looking good! :)
Thank you! :)
The stigma's are very true. But I must say that I can't really blame anyone. I have been obese my whole life and I have also always firmly believed that I could lose weight with hard work and dedication. I heard about people having bariatric surgery and I would also label them as lazy or saying they're taking the easy way out. But the truth of the matter is, I've lost a LOT of weight with diet & excercise, many times over, but every single time it would creep back afterwards. Plus extra. Of course hard work and dedication works, but it's just not sustainable for a lot of people. And I think that's where the surgery does have a big benefit. It forces you to stick to the plan and stay with the new healthy habits. I'm completely sold on the idea now. But I wasn't until just last year honestly.
So when I encounter someone who's very harsh about it, I either just let it be and ignore it or I'll try to teach them some valuable insights on the matter. Depends on how close I'm with the person or how much it matters to me that the person still has the stigmatic view.
What kind of work out regimen did you and your husband have
Can you show what you eat and your portions, also are you taking vitamins?
Hi all. How long are people in the UK waiting for a gastric sleeve. I've heard it can be 5-10years now due to covid delays. Is this true? Thanks 😊
Do you make videos anymore?
Just got mine on the 21 home in bed in pain
How much it was cost
If you can stick to the healthy eating habits after the surgery why didn't you just stick to it to lose weight instead of the surgery?!
because sometimes grelin makes you always hungry for example lol. and even a little hunger feels for like you will die soon. )) like a little example
You clearly didn’t watch the video
