Congratulations on the new trailer!!! Looks beautiful. Hopefully it will help make you more profit with it being a little longer. Take care of it like you always do and it'll last you a long time. Stay healthy brother!!! I enjoy your channel very much!
My job in high school was scooping the poop and bedding pack out of livestock trailers for a local trucking company. In the summer months we would also use a firehouse setup and then pressure wash. I didn’t really mind it at the time was thankful for a little spending cash. This was in the early 90s.
Awesome. I was supposed to get on with Mascaro this year and learn the ropes, but I had to back out for a bad infection that kicked my but for a little while. I’m hoping to hopefully get a chance to run for them this coming year now that I’m all good.
I bought a picked up a brand new Wilson the end of June. Factory light package. Canadian tri axle, old school set up. Crank nose decking. It cost 170,000 can dollars, plus taxes and freight. A trailer like yours, with a winter kit and rails, I don’t have a clue what it would cost. To much to be profitable, but that’s too much trailer for me. All I haul is bovine types. Not much under 450 pounds. Keep trucking my friend. Someday, we’ll figure out, who has the answers. Your trailer would
Nice trailer! Congratulations .I wish they would build all the wear points so they didn’t wear out rubbing together. Seems like you could use replaceable uhmw wear plates. If you get a new one every few years it’s not your worry though.I would stay with 48 foot spread axle. Still got more room than I can use. The old 45 foot would usually be overweight. Now you don’t get a day off.
In the 80's pulled a 13'10 Guthrie hauling horses needed the head room hauled lots of draft horses. Ran Iowa to South Carolina up to North Carolina to bring feeder cattle back had to throw sand on the floor so horses would stand.
Windy in South Dakota?? Who knew lol.. looks like it ought to work swell for ya. I run a double deck eby gooseneck trailer running mainly swine at all ages. Boss had a Wilson, relatively same specs for the time, and it just honestly didn't work worth a crap for us. Wean piggies would trip over a big 2"*2" square doorway trying to walk and out of the trailer. Butchers would be better but still not great. Ramp was shorter and steeper. Like how the older cattle pots used to be a shorter counter balance and a steeper ramp going up out of the belly. Most of these things seem so minor but when you do it everyday, even this trailer you're pulling now will have something that should be specd the same but end up off like pen spacing and gating. Being versatile is a huge deal though and that's pretty sweet man! Pick up some silver Brite at Coyote chemical in i think vermilion sd. That stuff works great to keep it shiny
Safety issue; Cable clamps are on backwards (inside the trailer 16:38 time of video shows the clamps) you never saddle a dead horse. Your crushing the good side of the cable.
I noticed on the Porch light it says Mascaro, are you part of the family or just a driver for them ? Nice ass looking trailer with lots of chicken lights... 👌
Nice wagon and definitely can do a variety of work with it. Pricey yes but built well….shit a new triple axle poverty wagon…(grain trailer) is around 90k…..ridiculous but is what it is.
Gotta move them moo's to make some $! Nice looking rig, and if you can run CA, you can run the rest of the United States. CA should just secede and try to make it on their own.🙄👍👍
Actually, CA pays more tax money into the Federal than they get. If CA was to secede, the rest of us would lose tax revenue. Means our taxes would have to go up to make up the difference. Other than that, I haven’t run CA in years.
@@calebmanuel17 Alberta does not allow a 10 ft 2 inch spread axle trailer. Only Ontario and Quebec only allow spread axle trailers with that big of a spread axle.

Correct. Kingpin to rear axle length too long this trailer. We don't have proper bridge laws to take advantage of the extra room in this big of a trailer anyways though. Nice rig, plenty of them run into California illegally

Going to 🍁, thinking if you are buying a new trailer l would have bought a triple axel .It adds more weight can hual
May wanna wear a bump cap while getting used to the new trailer 👍
This may be a dumb question but how do you take a spread axle trailer into Canada, I believe spreads are illegal in Canada?
You can get a permit. It also depends on which province you operate in
I noticed on the Porch light it says Mascaro, are you part of the family or just a driver for them ? Nice ass looking trailer with lots of chicken lights... 👌
I agree about the chicken lights, I think we need some night shots of this new beauty looking like a christmas tree!

Good looking trailer, congrats. Do you guys get an exemption to run in California with that spread?
Hope to load with you sometime! Have a couple months with Mascaro
Is this trailer bigger compared to? The similar ones like it.
This one is 53ft long, the older ones is 48ft
Wutt R Ur thoughts of flat nose or bull nose & front vents vs non vents on the front of the wagon?¿?
Are there certain states or provinces of Canada that your not allowed to go into? With your trailer being a 53 foot long and a 10'2" spread?
Some province they allow spread axle trailer especially alberta
@@calebmanuel17 Alberta does not allow a 10 ft 2 inch spread axle trailer. Only Ontario and Quebec only allow spread axle trailers with that big of a spread axle.
@@brianseace4429 why some province ban spread axle exept Montreal and Ontario?
😊 I have a question: How do you become a cattle / live stock hauler? Is it better than other trucking jobs over the road.
If you weren’t raised on a farm or around livestock I wouldn’t advise getting into livestock trucking. it takes a special breed to do this job.

isn't this trailer going to be to long in distance from the kingpin to the center of the rear axle to be in the state of Califorina?

To build my trailer in 2020 was about 110k ruffly. I'm sure it went up by 10k which is still less than that meat wagon.
Have you ever priced aluminum. We have an 2018 F350 with a 9-ft aluminum bed and it cost around $10,000 then.
