- Dave and the Macurs (Rich, David, Daniel) go on an 8-day motorized trip with Wilderness River Adventures, Sept. 9-16, 2022. The trip included a bus ride from Page, AZ to Lees Ferry, rafting 188 river miles to Whitmore Wash, helicopter takeout to Bar 10 Ranch on the North Rim, and a fixed wing charter flight back to Page.
Thanks for posting Dave. Great once in a lifetime trip
Woot Woot! What an epic river trip!! Thanks for taking us along on the journey!!
Thanks Dave for an amazing video of such a fantastic voyage!!
Nice video... This rafting trip looked like it was a lot of fun and goes to show your never too old to make new friends!!
I’m doing this hike in June 2024, but the 8 day full canyon (280 miles) thanks for helping me get pumped. Great video
Fantastic boatmen. Hope you tipped them well.
Excellent video, great combination of rapids and camp life. Curious, was what you thought it would be? I did a trip with a good friend and his son three years ago. Sent him several videos then I started thinking that I might be building it up too much. He told me halfway, "I'm not sure if could oversell one of these trips". Kayaked the Canyon '78, "trip of a lifetime" that's worth doing again. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the kind comments, Steve. Although I am an experienced GC hiker, this was my first time through on a boat and it was great fun. But I can hardly imagine doing it in a kayak! That sounds like the ultimate GC whitewater experience!
Excellent....I will highlite your tour and Wilderness River Adventures on my video about the BioGeology there. Thank you my Friends.
Best canyon vid yet! Does everyone rotate around the boat seats to get different vantages or stay in the same spot the whole trip?
Thanks, Rick! Everyone is encouraged to move around and even change from one boat to another. Some preferred to stay in the back, but the bathtub (front seating) was the most popular and all did a good job of sharing.
