I wish those kind of experiences in salons where in the past, one of the only salon that "are specialist" of curly hair, a year ago told me I won't be able to see my curl completely if don't do a keratin treatment on my hair. That's the best salon for curly hair in the island 😭. I ignore her, and I'm figuring out on my own😅 (looking at professionals advice of course) my hair was getting better.
Love you ladies. I have been natural for one year and have had terrible experiences with hair stylist that claim to know natural hair. All I want is stylist to educate me on how to care for my natural hair.
So I’m just now going down the rabbit hole of your videos! Love it everyone of them! But for this video I have had several triggering experiences. I’m not natural but would like to start. The main reason I haven’t yet is because of the comments from Many stylist saying that I have too much hair and that they will stop doing my hair if I go natural 😞 that is frustrating. So now I have been looking through A LOT of videos and tutorials of how to start. I have so much more to say about my journey to coming to this decision. My main reason to go natural is because i want to stop getting the relaxer “chemical”. So frustrating! Love you both for stepping out and stepping up on the info!
I remember the Long hair care forum!😄
Me too! I still lurk on there and read the old posts. I've been on there since 2009.
“I tried it...hair still ashy” 😂
It’s sooooo hard to trust a stylist! I’m definitely afraid to go and end up getting something that I don’t want. 🤦🏽♀️

So glad you are on the scene! And that the sisterhood directed me your way. 😘
Lord knows I have my opinions about my hair 🙂 but I do listen to instructions and good advice.
I was first exposed to Curly Nikki, Long haur care forum, and BGLH when they still had their blog.
