  • In the last video, I took you on a trip with a Brompton folding bike to Montreal! Since then, the cold has set in and a creative rut has ensued but! Looking to get out of that funk and take you on my little day trip excursions until its nice and warm again for epic journeys again!
The Brompton Bicycle will return but today is for a short trip to Barrie, Ontario! My friend and I have never really been to the city proper and despite the freezing temperatures we enjoyed our short GO Train layover and did a quick walk of the lakefront and enjoyed a quick meal!
Thanks for watching and be sure to like, subscribe and comment on any ideas of where we can go next!

I am a punjabi woman, who works from home as a techie 😅.
I want to explore places around Toronto and this is exactly what I was planning to do, random unplanned trip.
Thank you so much for sharing a genuine unfiltered experience of yours.
    😊

Barrie line riders are so lucky they got the Davenport guideway up and running. I think I read somewhere that that project alone saves riders a whopping 5 mins each way. Sadly I don't know that there is or will be any other new significant rail infrastructure upgrades on that scale (like electrification or acquiring electric locomotives) for any of the other lines for years to come.

Great choice for lunch. Mexican house is one of our favourite spots. There are several wonderful restaurants to choose from (downtown) on Dunlop st. There’s also nice walking tours (close to the station) to check out historic Barrie.

Amazing! Thank you for the tip. Definitely coming back in the spring and summer now knowing how easy it is. Looks like a great place to bring a bike up too for a ride along the lake.
