This is def not how bedsy shoots. Although the guy has a great shot, his form compared to bedsy is totally different. Everyone already knows that the change of angle and deception with that is key. Bedsy punches both his arms out and when they get out far, he pulls in his top hand as hard as he can. Its like a lever, which is why he gets so much flex. His follow through is so much more different and if you studied his shot and tried to implement it in your shooting sessions, you could definitely get a somewhat dollar tree version of a bedsy shot.
@@ice.warehouse Hello, I'm a big fan of IW, Mike showed how Bedard shoots against a defender correctly (i think it was the main point of the vid) and he has a good shot If there can be a synced split screen or an overlay it would be clear the respective shots differ in many ways, cant list all but IMO here are some Seems that there a big difference in stick specs between shooters To emulate a players shot one would have to use stick specification in the style of said player (not necessarily 98's game stick) In Bedard's case; extended, whipping , lie on the higher side and low kick flex point different body mechanics Bedard drops low and forward while Mike does not get that low and its more to the side Follow through Mike didn't mimic Bedard's signature turn blade over follow through One fan asking IW to keep up the vids
He says using this style of shooting is useless without a defenseman in front of you. I disagree changing the angle on a goalie is just as important. That said this kind of shot was not possible 20 years ago, before the evolution of the super flex sticks. You could not get the same flex with a wooden or two-piece stick.
Don’t like all these hype about bedard shot etc I think there are many player with decent shot so just shoot whatever comfortable you feel with I think

Coach Mike showing us the way! What a beast!!
Decent shot, not the bedard style shot
How would you describe the difference between Mike's shot and Bedard's?
Chase at IW Hockey
@@ice.warehouse Bedard has a "sweep based shot" Mikes shot is a "snap based shot"

Bedard also has his backhand facing up through his follow through
nobody can replicate the way he shoots. similar but not a replica.
same way nobody can replicate the way mackinnon skates, its just so unique.
I gotta disagree every technique can be learnt if u put enough time and effort. Bedard replicated what Matthews made famous so its definitely possible
