My heart cries when I watch this video. So happy I got the chance, twice, to see him with CRB and, briefly, with the Cardinals. (My Cardinals story is a long one.) But, I love this man and wish I'd seen him solo. Wish he'd known how loved he was. We lost a beautiful talent in him.
I learned of Neal through Ryan Adams and the Cardinals. In my opinion Ryan has never been better than he is with Neal Casal and John Graboff. That got me searching out Neal Casal solo performances and I'm happy to discover his earlier work. He is a true talent and made some great music that I never knew about before.
Wow i was 15 when i made this comment and i totally was bragging. But i am so lucky to have shared even the smallest sliver of life with Neal. Wouldn't consider myself to be a close friend of his by any means. But meeting him in such a personal way when i was a child definitely left an impression on me and has made it very hard to cope with his passing. But it makes me so happy to see people celebrating his life and enjoying his music. From his underrated solo career all the way up to CATS.
RIP Brother, you are greatly missed.
I'll see you again on the other side.
🎸🎵🎶🧠🌌♾
…again…?
God, his voice.
Rest in Peace, beautiful soul... such a hard heartbreaking Monday in summer.
“Sometimes being alive just isn’t enough”.... your music is beautiful Neal, sorry the world is just catching up to you
I wrote that for neal…
I wrote that within the context of that song
So literal
He was such a sweet soul 💛
We miss him so much, thanks for the music Neal 🎸❤ ☮
Neal Casal is perfect all by himself. I think I've said this before... I love this man.
It is so sad a talent like this is gone.
Such a mellow fellow. RIP you’ll be missed man.
Great song, I'm a singer/songwriter and Neal is a big influence on me. Thanks for the upload
I wrote this song..Neal got it from Ryan Adams along with Freeway to The Canyon and I’m almost sorry he rendered it so beautifully
What have you written….?
Rest in Peace..he is like a Song bird.

I have loved every thing Neal has been apart of. But nothing in my opinion beats his solo career and his band Hazey Malaze.
So long Neal...
Leaving traces was a nice find, I love his voice and his songs.....think I'll keep him a secret:)
wunderschöner song!!!!
Exactly what I thought, seventies era James Taylor. And that's a good thing. Great song.
This mean world consumes gentle souls.
@actmishart It's on his album "Roots & Wings"
Neal only was a card since 2007, ryan already showed the world his brillance.
RIP
He reminds me so of Dan Fogelberg.
Check out Danny and the champions of the world, Neal co-wrote a brilliant song called THE TRUEST KIND
