My jaw was on the FLOOR at this Morecambe and Wise tribute. I watched them all the time with my grandpa and my one bugbear was that no one up to now had been able to capture as much of Ernie as they did Eric. This. Blew. My. Tiny. MIND!!!!!! These wonderful men need to have their own TV show and FAST!!!!!
omg, they had me going there for a minute. I didn't think the actual Morecombe and Wise could possibly still be around. We got to see their show briefly on U.S. tv yrs. ago and I've never forgotten them.
What I thought what was an uncanny resenblance was how Much Suranne, as Carole, looked like her former S&B boss, Gill! But futher on the topic... it's a very clever labor of love, wherein old and new elements are woven in (very cleverly) together on the pattern of the trusted Christmas tale. Well done!
Thank you so so much for posting this! I'm in the U.S. & thought I was going to have to subscribe to some app to be able to watch this, but here it is! I love that she talked a bit about the second series of Vigil, but what I really want to know is WHEN they will start filming!!! And of course, I'm sure we won't get it over here in the States until a few months after it premieres in the UK. Ah well, guess I'll stick to Suranne's IG for updates on filming! Oh, and I love seeing how they filmed the helicopter/sub scene! I was just rewatching the first episode tonight and said out loud to myself, "how on earth did they film that?" And I have my question answered now. Thank again for posting! :)
Awesome, thank you for posting this! I wonder what Vigil 2 will be because they named the show after the submarine, so I'm very curious to see what they do. I wish I could see Christmas Carole. I don't really like Christmas shows but would make an exception for this, it looks amazing.
The only thing that bugs me a little about her, as someone from Oldham, as she is (she's actually a friend of my neighbours daughter and may have been to their house!), is the loss of the accent, I know it happens though, I've got relatives that moved away and don't speak 'oldham' anymore.
@@gertie2454 Oh, you should - they're wonderful. They're EXTREMELY British and of their time, but I almost think you don't necessarily have to understand the jokes to find them funny - they're extremely silly even without the wordplay.
Always loved Suranne Jones ever since her corrie days 😊
Me too,she gets some brilliant parts to play, shes such a great actress 👍😀
Loved her in Scott & Bailey...

She reminds of the much regretted and very lovable Marianne Stone.
Jo Brand has such a wonderful range doesn't she
Can’t wait to see Naomi Ackie as Whitney Houston

Why did M & W keep referring to Carole as HE?
It's one of their classic jokes: Always deliberately getting names wrong or mixing up genders.
@@cheyennebrennan966 Thanks. I have watched a lot of Brit shows but never M & W.

Eric Morecambe, the bigger one of the pair, mistoke for example Glenda Jackson as a ten foot burgler. He said to her: "They all say that, sir!"
its uncanny
they 'don't look back'
Sorry I clicked.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
When she says "Nish Kumar, so all comedians". 😂😂🙄
Thought the same , Jo Brand , Nish Kumar , comedians ?
Bring back GENTLEMAN JACK
