This answered some questions for us. Thanks! Your video and sound are great - though the grey background is a bit bland 😏 I’m an artist. Can I bring my oil paint tubes, brushes, etc? Art art supplies readily available in Cuenca?
We are planning to move to Cuenca end of this year. You said we can bring only 32 inch Tv in plane. But if bring our stuff by container, can we get a bigger Tv?
Thanks for the info. Very informative. Is it worth bringing lots of english language books or howeasy is it to order more specialist subjects there? Thank you!
You're welcome Jonathan. Definitely bring your books if you can manage them in your luggage. English books are very expensive here and the range is low. We actually almost purchased an English book store here just last week so we have a pretty good idea on this subject now.
Sure Jose. The 1st result for a 65" Samsung cost $930. There's lots of different models though, so I suggest doing a more thorough comparison. Link to TV: articulo.mercadolibre.com.ec/MEC-431195151-samsung-65-pulgadas-65tu7000-crystal-uhd-4k-smart-tv-2020--_JM
Hey Kev, you're welcome! If it's a high end or specialized 24" I'd bring it. You can find regular 24" monitors here, but they aren't super common and can be a little pricey.. I suggest doing a few quick price comparisons. Here's a popular site to start with: computacion.mercadolibre.com.ec/monitores-y-proyectores/monitor-24-pulgadas
If it's high end I'd bring it. Or potentially I'd just bring in the more expensive components (graphics card etc) and buy the more bulky items (ie case + fan) here. This is one of the cheaper retailers of PCs here. Lower end you can find ok prices, but high-end is tough. www.novicompu.com/12-laptops-pcs-cpu
By September 2021, this video might be outdated. Many import taxes have been reduced. The current government has a free trade vision, etc. Most of those ridiculous taxes originated in 2014 when Ecuador had a socialist government.
There are some good movements, particulary with the 4x4 taxes dropping. But, overall this video is still very relevant. Happy for you to point out any out-dated inconsistencies.
I'm watching this now on the airport before leaving :)
Like Awesome Video!! ❤️✨
You deserve more Views Dude!!😎😎
Feel free to spread the love!
I'm moving to Cuenca 1 month from today. Thanks for such an informative video!
Neil, what's it been like thus far, what area did you move to and why?
The sound quality has gone up significantly with your new equipment. My ears thank you!!
Thanks for noticing Matthew. We did up our production game.
Excellent video, I had no idea about the duty free shipping container option!
Cheers Jacob. There's quite a few rules about the shipping container option - I'll cover these in another video :)

Generally no if you're bringing them with you in person. Mine was shipped which seems to have been the issue.
Enjoy the kiting!
Is it worth it to bring a computer moniter (24') or to buy it in Ec.? Thanks for your vids.!

Hola, nuestra empresa tiene un proyecto que necesita ser impulsado ¿Estás interesado en cooperar?
Gaming computers? Too expensive? Bring your own?
