The minimum amount Tour Pass users would have to top up is 100 yuan, with the balance amount limited to 2,000 yuan. Any remaining funds left at the end of the 90 days will be refunded. So if I understand it correctly it will refund the money after 90 days if you have any left in the tour pass.
@@LTLChinese Hello, please I already registered with my foreign passport and MasterCard. I want to open a Chinese bank account to lift the limit of 2000 Rmb. Will there be clash of info as regards to local bank account and foreign bank card?
In fact, it is illegal to refuse RMB in China. But this boundary is difficult to define. For example, if some unmanned supermarkets or vending machines do not accept RMB payments, this "may" be held legally responsible. But it is certain that if a taxi driver refuses to accept RMB, his behavior is absolutely illegal.
Hi Cliff, you are absolutely correct, cash should always be accepted, but the simple fact is it isn't. Legal or not, you won't be able to pay in some places with it! Madness, but the way of the world in 2020!

Jon C. It will be in your Alipay balance and you can spend it but you can’t transfer to your bank if you live in the US. The only way you can transfer it is if you have Swapsy. A guy from RUclips help me out. I can send you the link so you can see how. You need credit on Swapsy to send money to your bank. Depends how much you are trying to send. It’s usually like $3-9 fee .. but if you have enough credits is free. It’s better than paying $18 to transfer money ... I’ve done it many times before.

I don’t live in China. I visited many times last few years. I have WeChat pay but since I don’t have China registered phone number I can’t accept fund and also I cannot spent my money from my wallet. Thank you
The minimum amount Tour Pass users would have to top up is 100 yuan, with the balance amount limited to 2,000 yuan. Any remaining funds left at the end of the 90 days will be refunded. So if I understand it correctly it will refund the money after 90 days if you have any left in the tour pass.
@@TheMrPsssst You are correct! We just discovered the same thing, 90 days refund.
@@TheMrPsssst thats acutally pretty insane. ty
Sorry what kind of currency is kuai? I know about ReMiBi and yoan.
Hi Lilian, "kuài" is colloquial for RMB. It's quite commonly used in China. Apologies for the confusion. Did you find the rest of the video helpful?
@@LTLChinese Thank you! Very useful! Please tell me if I can with this pre payed bank account to buy products from taobao, tmall and 1688?
@@KyokushinCahul Yes you can indeed, another great perk of having this set up Lilian!
@@LTLChinese Hello, please I already registered with my foreign passport and MasterCard. I want to open a Chinese bank account to lift the limit of 2000 Rmb. Will there be clash of info as regards to local bank account and foreign bank card?
@@ahmypeace No there will not. You can have a bank account here, and a tourpass which is linked to your foreign card. Therefore, no clash!
It says i've made too many attempts and i should try again later. Lol it's my 1st day signing up 🤦♂️
Ouch :( can be painful sometimes
In fact, it is illegal to refuse RMB in China. But this boundary is difficult to define. For example, if some unmanned supermarkets or vending machines do not accept RMB payments, this "may" be held legally responsible.
But it is certain that if a taxi driver refuses to accept RMB, his behavior is absolutely illegal.
Hi Cliff, you are absolutely correct, cash should always be accepted, but the simple fact is it isn't. Legal or not, you won't be able to pay in some places with it! Madness, but the way of the world in 2020!
I notice that some of Alipay (支付寶)feature and service is heavy restricted and is not open to foreigner Alipay Account . To able to use some of Alipay feature Services . You have to bind China national ID to your Alipay account.
我注意到某些支付寶功能和服務受到嚴格的限制,並且不對外國人的支付寶帳戶開放。要使用某些支付寶功能服務,您必須將中國國家身份證綁定到您的支付寶帳戶。
Hi Frank, that shouldn't be the case. To use it's functions (the majority for sure) you just need to have a card linked. Alipay is the same, there isn't a Chinese Alipay and a foreigner Alipay... you can change the language, but the functions should be the same
My alipay account has been banned and I was asked to open the ban a bank card for the country of China 🇨🇳 and I don't have it Please help me to get it and unblock my account
You'll need to contact Alipay to help with that Yacine.
Very good video
Thanks Daniel, glad you liked it!
Remember the crazy nightmare, trying to log into AliPay, even with a legit bank account in Beijing? 哈哈😄!This is great news!!
Tough times they were eh Catherine! Much easier now, thank goodness!
Thanks to everyone that posted *@Darkearlsimmos* on *telegram* he get me cc with high balance is real you should go check him out
The app needs a passport number as well
Oh really? We've not had experience of that before.
After I uploaded my master card details on tourpass, I got scammed, someone made online transaction with a reference of "chinagpay" And "mahitodesign" And they too 5000 CNY from my master card 😭😭😭
Hi Risuna, that's crazy we've never heard of anything like this happen on Tourpass before. Have you contacted support?
Well, my visa card failed.
:( annoying
I can pay my suppliers on Pinduo but can't pay suppler on Wechat, I'm getting an error (ALIN42288) it's really stressing me out,how can I resolve it.
Hi Priya, unfortunately individual problems like this are difficult for us to advise. You'd be much better contacting the support channels, and asking for help there. All the best
with this method, can I have a friend from china transfer me money?
I'm not sure if this will work, I think it's designed for tourists coming to China to use internally here. You can still transfer your friend money, and receive it, if you both have Alipay or WeChat though
I don’t think so my friend from China is trying to send me money from Alipay and I received it but it won’t let me add bank card account from US
@@tusib4261 after you receive it, its in the alipay balance right? and you are able to spend it or send it to other?
Jon C. I think you can send the money to others if they have Alipay account but not to your PayPal or your bank.
can i apply for tour pass without VISA?
YES! You can use tour pass without a Chinese visa.
5% flat Charges to Recharge ALIPAY WALLET
Are you sure about that Aditya's Tech Villa?
@@LTLChinese yes .... Conversion Fee flat 5%
Anyone try in China before? Can leave a comment?
IT WORKS :) - we have many students who have used it with no problem
"I can't even remember the last time I used an ATM machine in China"... A few seconds earlier in the video... "This week Alipay announced it can be used by foreigners" Whaaat?! This makes no sense.
As expats in China, we never use cash machines. This news is more relevant to tourists coming to China. Our students being a prime example. We released this video for their benefit, not ours :)
max teacher my mom used alipay
Hahah both our mums use it now!
Really don’t understand y they don’t accept visa or master card?
They do KL. These are two of the most widely used cards in the world, both have no problems connecting. In the video, this was a Visa card
Wow I really reckon they did this because of Facebook wanting to launch Libra ♎️ the careless cash game just got real!!!
Cashless has been a real thing in China for a while now but opening up to foreign tourists is a big step we believe
But need Chinese phone number for active!
That would probably help
To much talk
Sorry it didn't float your boat Root, just trying to give as much detail as possible! 😁
