i saw them live on december 7 and mitch waved at me when i waved at him and he said “hi.” when i tell you i flipped out so hard i made him laugh 🤣 best moment in my life lol
Seeing them sing this song in person was so much fun. I was lucky enough to finally get to go to a Christmas show this last December. I absolutely love it with Mitch’s voice in the lead. Unfortunately on their album he doesn’t sing the lead as they brought in guest singer jasmine Sullivan. Nothing against her she’s amazing but I prefer Mitch on it. This arrangement is taken from movie sister act 2. I’m sure they changed it a bit but it’s basically being done as it was in the movie. Yes that was Matt at the end. I too had my camera on Mitch at first thinking it was him and then quickly realized I needed to scan over to Matt. They’re all so impressive. Everyone of them can get pretty high. It’s amazing. They all can hit that note.
I'm literally crying 😭😂. Dude Best reaction EVER! This was a virtual concert recording of the Pentatonix evergreen Christmas tour. They allowed you to buy a ticket to this event and watch it online if you couldn't make the evergreen tour. This was Kevin's hometown show. It was the best thing I've ever seen it was so amazing to watch on my big screen 😊. They have performed this song before on one of their older Christmas tours and it's always the closing number to get the crowd on their feet. If you never seen sister act part 2, I suggest to check it out for reference. Once again this is the most hilarious and amazing reaction to watch at 5:00 in the morning. Thanks so much SAUCEY DAD 😁🥰✌🏾
I'm barely halfway through the video and the pace you have to take it is hilarious! And honestly, understandable! Ending their show with this is such a great choice! And they all have so much fun! It's wonderful! Mitch is killing it soooo much! He's spectacular! And as a Matt fan, this one is extra fun for me. He does bass, beatboxes, raps AND does an insane high note in the same song! Sign me up!

All of their live Evergreen concert performances are fire. I think they broke their attendance records with this latest tour - most nights were 11,000 - 12,000 people. And Kirstie was 2-3 months pregnant by this point.😀
I was lucky enough to see them perform this in December of 2019, before covid hit, and they came out in the audience and would give high fives to the fans, while singing, and they still sounded amazing. By far my favorite PTX live performance I've seen.
This was crazy. After 12 Days of Christmas we should not be surprised how many genres or styles they can squeeze into any song. They may have outdone themselves, which is saying something. Matt ---- Where did that come from????????? Hope he didn't hurt himself..... I think I was at a Revival.
Your reactions are so amazing, I don't have enough english words to tell! And nothing against the girl who did the recording for the album, but Mitch taking the lead is something else. This arrangement is outstanding.. couldn't watch it live (I'm not living in the USA) but luckily I could join the online concert and I was nearly crying tears of joy and jumping around on my couch, blown away from their energy and their greatness.. you could see how happy they were to perform again! Thank you for your enthusiasm and your love for them 😍
Oh Nick. For a guy who didn’t like Christmas music you have fallen down the PTX rabbit hole. Honestly Christmas this year with you is gonna be joyful joyful 🎄🎄
This is how PTX takes you to Church!!! I loved watching this, it was insane watching Kevin's hometown show he was so pumped! And they all did so great! ❤ This was your best reaction yet a couple of times I was worried your brain might explode. 😅 Our not so "favorite boy" Mitch killed this song. 🤣
Indeed! I was at the show in person and it was even more epic than this video was able to show! It was also very solemn in parts. It was only a day or so after the horrifying tornados tore through Kentucky claiming a number of lives in Kevin’s hometown and cities surrounding his hometown. They sang Amazing Grace and had a moment of silence in honor of those who lost their lives. It was one of the most touching things I’ve ever experienced. Being in an arena that holds 22,090 people and having a little over 10,000 people there for a concert and it being completely silent, that is something I will never forget.
I just have to say that I've watch this reaction at least six times, & it makes me laugh when Mitch gets you-I can literally see the smoke start coming out of your ears🤣🤣🦄👾Thanks Nick!
I'm glad that others have mentioned Sister Act - I knew the arrangement and choreography were very similar to that. If you haven't watched it (you need to start at the beginning to understand why Woopie Goldberg "becomes" a nun). But watch it with Saucey Mom, not necessarily the kids unless language doesn't bother you. This is a wonderful rendition of this beautiful song. Thanks, Saucey!
I hope they do a tour this year after Kirstie has her beautiful baby girl because I will be there! Such great memories from this show! I can not wait!!
I'm so devastated that I probably won't ever see them live, but thank goodness for RUclips and people posting the best of PTX. It may be the closest I'll ever get, and I love every one of them. Thanks for the reaction, I haven't seen this one before, and I can't believe I missed it all this time :)
As a new Pentaholic I've not watched any of their Christmas songs yet, apart from Little Drummer Boy and Mary did you Know. So this is new to me. Great reaction. Mitchy is just perfect as always as are the others of course. I'm now off to watch it for myself. Just to add I've been saving the Christmas ones for next Christmas.
@@beverlykrebs4372 thank you, I'll.have a look. I've heard that the 12 Days of Christmas is great too. I'd kind of lost interest in music I'm 65, until I came across Hallelujah. Not a song I'd ever liked much, but decided to have a listen. Fantastic isn't it. They don't seem to put a foot wrong. I love them. ❤

At the concert I didn’t know what they would do for a closing number because they had already done Hallelujah, Amazing Grace, and The Prayer. I wasn’t expecting this. Now do you see why we like to see them live? This was a great reaction! And I like the glasses. They work for you from this side of the camera. I hope they are cutting down on your headaches.
AND just think, Kirstin was 3ish months pregnant here and NONE of us knew!!! Both the concerts at this venue (which seats 7K) were sold out. I was at the Dec 23 concert. There is an unexplained energy when you come “home” for a concert & have familiar faces in the crowd & the tour is coming to a close. As I recollect, this was the closing number. Scott’s Dad played the guitar when they sang Evergreen!
Hello Saucey Dad!! Your reactions are priceless!! How could they not be when you are reacting to PTX? The only thing better than watching PTX sing is watching them sing AND dance. They are all so good, This is from their Evergreen Christmas Tour last year in states of the north east USA. The final night they had 11,000 people in the auditorium. They also had an online version of the concert for those who could not go in person!! The first part of the song "Joyful Joyful" is one of Beethoven's arrangements and is actually a church hymn. Sister Act II jazzed it up. Mitch at the beginning is so skillful and precise with his vocal articulation. I thought my screen froze when Mitch hit the high note but then I saw your eyes moving and realised that they were trying stay inside the sockets!!! Then you said you were scared and I thought....oh boy...the fun is yet to begin. LOL Matt on the bass and then the high note at the end. Scott with his riffing. Kirstie backing and then so sharp. Kevin beat boxing. Matt and Kevin rapping and jamming. All of them in a choreographed sequence. This is the most fun. This is one of the videos that I used to watch everyday after it was posted. There are also a few fan videos of this that actually show the "wrist-flick" dance sequence more clearly. You should react to all the performances from the Evergreen Tour. Suggest the following songs - We Need a Little Christmas, The First Noel, Carol of the Bells, The Prayer, Hallelujah, 12 Days of Christmas, Thank You, I Just Called to Say I Love You (with a Kirstie moment) and Evergreen (the version of the final night's performance) -- No spoilers. I adore that they did the arrangement from Sister Act 2. It's just one of those movies I will watch whenever it's on TV as a former Catholic School kid. The original ruclips.net/video/OaEH1e_DLm0/видео.html Mitch totally does Lauren Hill justice.

Haha close but no cigar. 😂😂😂😂❤️🤷♀️🫶🇬🇧
This arrangement is from Sister act 2! I LOVE it Sooooo much!!
they ended a lot of their christmas tour shows with this song! this is about the size of the crowd when i went to their show this last december as well
I hadn't heard this one yet, either. WOW! Such a fun reaction! LOL
LOL it is our country (US). I seen them on this same tour on Dec 22. It was freaking amazing!!! LOL oh and FYI, Kirstie is already pregnant for this tour, she is a rock star! Welcome to a PTX Christmas concert.
😊 I was looking for a little hint of a baby bump 🤰🦄
We were at the same show Alice ? It's been so hard NOT to request this.... Was saving it for Christmas season....
@@alanhufstetler5392 That is so cool!!
@@alanhufstetler5392 I assume you live in TX, I came from the Okla panhandle to see it.
@@alicegibson685 I live in the DFW area.... My 3rd eldest niece went to school at Martin with "The Trio"
This is fantastic!! You are cracking me up this morning!! Love, love, love your reactions to this and the others that you do!!🤣💜
This is their Evergreen tour last December. There are many videos of the many songs they did like The Prayer, Hallelujah, 12 days of Christmas, you’re a mean one mr grinch etc etc…you should check out more, they’re so amazing 🤩 and knowing now that Kirsty was already pregnant then 🥹🥹🥹
Great reaction--thanks!
I saw them do this live in CT in December and I still haven't recovered lol So glad you got to see this!
I was at the Grand Prairie show on Dec 22, it was also amazing
@@alicegibson685 I was at this exact show - Louisville, Kentucky. I was front row at end of catwalk - best experience of my life!!! I'm actually visible in the video!! I am still in shock!!!
I adore that they did the arrangement from Sister Act 2. It's just one of those movies I will watch whenever it's on TV as a former Catholic School kid. The original ruclips.net/video/OaEH1e_DLm0/видео.html Mitch totally does Lauren Hill justice.
I hadn't seen this before, wow. How amazing was that!? 🤯🤯 Your reaction was priceless, had me laughing so much and something I really needed today. Thank you Saucey Dad. Brilliant as always 😂😁
OMG, SAUCEY DAD!!!! I WAS AT THAT EXACT SHOW!!! FRONT ROW AT END OF CATWALK!!! That was Louisville, Kentucky, and I AM STILL BUZZING FROM THAT EXPERIENCE!! Yes, that was Matt!! Lol! And I did send you a request to do this song! But I'm not a paying member of the channel - only bcoz I can't afford it - so you probably just missed that particular comment. Anyhow, this was my favorite reaction to a Ptx song EVER!!! I was having those same emotions while standing there FILMING this, right at the stage! I got amazing footage & pics - I'd be glad to share them with you if you'll send me P.O. box. I put them on a memory stick for ScottaholicClaire, & will be happy to make one for you as well. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this reaction, coz like I said, I felt the same way while standing there watching it live!! I have since seen the Sister Act movie, but at the time I had not, so it was a complete new arrangement to me!! This is one of those things one witnesses in life that sticks with you forever!!! I wish you could have been there!!! Glad you finally got to see this!!
Now, go take your meds! You are clearly off of them for some reason! Lol! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this reaction! You totally made my day! Btw, I am clearly visible in the video when the camera is on the audience! If I get your P.O. box to send you my video & pics I will show you where my daughter & I were!!! Lots of love & pixie dust! (I know ur probly out now, as you used it all up watching this! Lol!! 🤪🤩😀🧚🧚♀️🧚♂️
I think I just heard the same guy who sings a B1, break all the way up to F6. Hooo leee crap. I did not know that about him before. He has as broad a vocal range as MItch! Just a couple octaves lower.
I absolutely love your reactions! You make me laugh and I need that these days so thank you! I feel that was your craziest reaction to PTX yet! I hope you can recover from this one. 😂
I know! I was fixing to call for an ambulance for him!!! Lol!
The low numbers are likely because there are a hundred different videos from the recent tour. At least a dozen different versions of this song alone.
I wish I could see this live !!❤️
Yup, only 10K. (It's only been up for 4 months.) But the studio version has 574K.
Your reactions are absolutely amazing I look forward to every reaction you do!! ❤️
You sir, are one of my all time favorite reactors. Definitely the most entertaining. Also bad news for ya, you young sweet thang. 30 year olds know nothing yet. I’m 50 and still ain’t figured nothing out.
Don't feel bad - I'm 62 & still waiting for intelligence to kick in!! I'm a 62 y/o with the spirit of a 21 y/o girl!!! And wouldn't have it any other way! Lol!!
@@beverlykrebs4372 Beat ya. I'm 72 and I think I've got it figured out. But I couldn't name 2 people who would back me up on that. Actually, upon reflection, not even 1. Even the 2 cats (not mine but that's another story) are giving me side eye.
I am in the Front row. It was that awesome !!!!
We have now been Matt mauled lol !!!
You are 💯 correct!
I think we ALL need emotional support unicorns after THAT!
Ain't it the truth!
Very entertaining reaction, SauceyDad. So when a bell rings on Christmas an angel gets their wings. When Matt hits a high note during Christmas songs a Unicorn is conceived. I wonder what happens when a Unicorn is born? Hmmmm. Keep up the great work. I look forward to your next video. Maybe it will be mine? Keeping my fingers crossed.
Finale from Sister Act 2! They did it justice! (Of Course lol) Check it out!
Matt was channeling Mitch's ghost. Then dropped right back down into a low bass :()
Hi Nick! I had Starbucks too late in the day so I am still awake and rewatching favorite reactions to favorite PTX songs. What I said 2 months ago still applies, and I am still laughing out loud with this one. You are just the best. 😁💜
I laughed so hard I almost just crashed my car!! It was the "Are you pregnant?" & then the dishes dropping in the background perfectly🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was so much fun live in concert! Had the whole crowd dancing & singing along! Amazing final encore song!
Looks like someone’s never seen Sister Act 2 😂
😂😂😂 my stomach hurts, you're so crazy and I love it ❤ great reaction
