Perfume has been on the cutting edge of techno-performances basically for nearly 20 years now. I am so happy you two finally found them because I have NO doubt that in 2020 at the Tokyo Olympic ceremonies, Perfume will be a notable part of them. The music behind Perfume is created by the genius Yasutaka Nakata, one of the most prolific artists of all time, in my opinion, and as noted by others below, the choreography is created by Mikiko Mizuno, not only also the choreographer of BABYMETAL, but currently part of Japan's 2020 Tokyo Game ceremonies planning committee as well.
Three suggestions for any possible future Perfume reactions..."Edge" at Japan Night live, "Enter The Sphere" at the Tokyo Dome 2013...and their amazing Future Pop Experiment "documo"performance of "Fusion" done live.

Thank you for viewing them. I have been a super fan for over 9 years now. They were the reason I went to japan for the first time. I can say I am a pro when it comes to what to watch as an intro for them. If you want suggestions for your next take on them I will say I have a top 5 performances that are always the best. You haven’t even touched the epic ness of perfume yet.
Chocolate Disco is very meaningful single of Perfume!!!If this single wasn't being popped up and popular,we couldn't enjoy their perfume for all these years(they were facing to be broken but Chocolate Disco and Polyrhythm were 2 singles which were successful and as plot twisters!)

The mastermind behind this group is undoubtedly Yasutaka Nakata. He is the producer for all of their music as well as for Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, a solo female artist and a duo called Capsule which includes himself and a female singer.

omg... you just reacted to the the only girl group ive ever followed since 2005. T.T If you like it, please react to some of their edgier performances more intricate dances with a deeper bass like Edge, Story, or Clockwork. The songs you reacted to were definitely their more pop influenced music.

They perform with a lot of digital experimental visual performances that have garnered a lot of attention over the years.
Babymetal came after Perfume and is choreographed by the same women who has choreographed Perfume since 2005 (Mikiko).

I love the left dudes reaction:D This is probably my all time favorite jpop group, I highly recommend the producer Yasuke Nataka's other project "capsule", and also other Perfume performances like Clockwork, 1mm, Computer City, or Night Flight. The channel Yuki has some classic performances of these songs on his channel.
Amuse has two powerhouse acts: Perfume and Babymetal. Both acts use the same coreographer, Mikiko. She is a major coreographer (Olympics ceremonies). Like Su-Metal, Mikiko and Perfume are from Hiroshima. Perfume has been together since high school, they came together at the Actors School Hiroshima in 2000 (same school as Su-Metal). They just played at Coachella, They are known for their elaborate technical performances. They are one of the best known acts in Japan. Try their MV "Flash".
Noticed a lot of Japanese groups being together since very young, like Arashi, Sekai No Owari, etc..

@@LostinMPK Mikiko is very good. She also does choreography for Sakura Gakuin, the idol group Babymetal sprang from. And she runs the dance troupe Elevenplay noted for their incorporation of technology into their performances.
@@LostinMPK I'm impressed you noticed it. You might be the first based on the first video to notice it.
Babymetal was partly inspired by Perfume.
At the most basic level Perfume is electronic/EDM (usually futuristic) music with dancing on heels. And Babymetal is the heavy metal version without the heels. Babymetal focuses on the live performance band & singing and Perfume has a lot of effects on their voices and focuses more on the visuals. A big difference with Perfume is they do a lot of talking (MC) between songs which is very common in Japan even in rock, etc. genres, Babymetal does not do that at all.
One Ok Rock is part of Amuse also, right?
AT LAST! I have just seen this hhaha. Anyway, Perfume really reflects positive energy in their presentation, right? I always feel happier after watching them! They have been here for around 20 years and counting! And with just 3 people, no backdancers, their control of the audience is amazing! They don't move from their formation, but A-Chan's impromptu shouting hypes up the performance well!
And their song lyrics are sooo cute and innocent! THe Choco (Chocolate Disco) is all about girls who prepare chocolates to be given to their crush at school (the mixing chocolate movement, the looking for their target).
Perfume is always make me happy☺️
They have a big catalogue. Check out some of their older songs like “ceramic girl” “dream fighter” or “polyrhythm”. If you want really old, “sweet donuts”. They formed when they were young schoolmates.
Chocolate disco is a song from their teenage era... so thats why the dance move a little bit cute.
41 yrs old here and my daughter + I are big fans of Perfume! They have quite an amazing and extensive backlog of music so def check out more! Their concerts/music videos are always innovative in some way. They just finished up a U.S tour a few months ago and even performed at Coachella.
Babymetal has the same choreographer. Perfume is pretty much the big sister group to Babymetal. They been doing this for almost 20 years believe it or not. They started young and pretty much on thier own which is the amazing part. It's rare to see kids grow up to accomplish exactly what they said they would.
Secret Secret and Ceramic Girl are another 2 legendary, solid, fun Perfume songs you should check out too! You won't be disappointed!

Many of PERFUME and BABYMETAL's choreography are from the same choreographer "MIKIKO", I believed.
MIKIKO may have a big role in the directing of performance in 2020 Tokyo Olympic. 💀 💕 🏴 🏴 🏴
Please check out "My Color" live by them. It is a beautiful song and they get the whole crowd involved.
I like to think that like Babymetal, Perfume was also chosen by the Fox God to bring us all together with high quality good music. When you watch them live you see them feed off of the audience and by the end they are in tears...tears of joy that is. That deep connection is The One in it's purest form. These girls truly appreciate and love their fans.

Edge live at Yokohama is a must see, Perfume at its best. I’ve seen this for the first time 6 years ago, and I still haven’t recover
Perfume is AMAZING
Maybe you should try a set of Open air Headphones, They let you hear outside sounds.
A couple of Perfume songs I'd recommend would be 1) "Monochrome effect" - when they were really young.
2) "Computer city" 3) "Poly Rhythm" - Still very Young, and 4) "Electro World" - Nearly 20 then.
And more recently 5) "Time Warp" and 6) "Polygon Wave" - They are all grown up NOW.

I think if you watch them from 2000 to now you would be amazing of the progression.
Well babymetal is (well was) choreographed by Mikiko who has done Perfumes choreography since their early days. And if I'm correct I believe perfume is babymetal seniors in the same company
As far as I know one og them, is a dance choreographer for Baby Metal

I watched your Video Last night 2021-07-23 ( Japanese style - Year-Month-Day ) and made some comments.
I was having a lot of connection problems at the time, So I decided to watch it again today.
This comment is going to be quite long, So I don't mind if you choose not to read it all.
Firstly let me begin by saying I have been following Perfume for nearly 20 years - I'm a Fan.
I could recommend many of their Arena performances in Japan to 50,000 (and more).
There are a great many available, They all have there Charms, and great production.
But I would urge you not to ignore their Music Videos (MV) or called Promotional Videos (PV) in Japan.
The production of them are Works of Art, PolyRhythm, Love the World and Time Warp spring to mind.
And I'd also recommend their 2nd world tour Video in London UK, a Good mix of songs.
Their first performance in front of an entirely English speaking Audience, its beyond adorable.
Fortunately Perfume have avoided the Pop Idol Curse, they are early 30s now and still going strong.
That said I really have a problem with the whole "Pop Idol" thing, in Japan.
Initially I thought - "Oh look, cute little girls singing and dancing, Isn't that Sweet."
But then I saw some Live performances and I noticed that a substantial part of the audience was Guys in their 40s and 50s, drooling over 13 year old girls, the more I saw of this the more it Creeped me out.
Lets just say I have a problem with the sexualisation of Children.
I know this is a problem all over the world, But in Japan it's been elevated to an Industrial level.
Girls are Recruited at 12 or less, then when they come of age, (20 in Japan) they are booted out.
I just can not watch them any more, Part of me thinks "pretty little girls singing and dancing" what's wrong with that?
But the whole thing is pandering to Paedophile's, and in recent years this has got worse.
The outfits, the songs and the dancing have all become Overtly Sexual, (these are 13 year old Girls)
You guys are not as Old as I am, but you are not Children, I'd like to get your opinion on this?

A good song, but literally probably THE WORST PERFUME recommendation to give to anyone who has never heard them before! This song is just "ok"....one of their few "just ok" songs, in fact! I really hope you check out any of their other catalog, because it's MUCH better! PERFUME is one of the most successful, longest-performing "Pop" acts that earned their way up from the absolute bottom of obscurity in the last few decades of "J-Pop" for a reason....:)
