My labrador of 12 years who's been with us since she was a puppy just passed away today - seeing this did bring a smile to my face though, brought back some memories of when she was only small. Dogs really are treasures

Did you notice it wasn't until after he barked, they knew who he was and how happy they were to see him. We miss so much with animals. There's a love there and we miss it often.

My Golden Retriver reacted the same way to... guinea pigs. When we brought them home and showed them to her we were very careful, because we didnt know how she would react, but that fear was pointless. She was so friendly and gentle! She even spent first few weeks "guarding" their cage at least few hours a day.

LOOL, hate to say, ive come across a golden retriever that with no provocation from myself or my dog, would go right into growling and bare their teeth at me and my dog. dont be mistaken by the portrayal of the breed from media like air bud etc, all dogs have the capacity to be aggressive if left untrained. some dogs are much much easier to establish the hierarchy within the home and instill overall good behaviour that would eliminate aggression, this breed would be one of those "easier to train" 🙏💙👍

I don’t think Golden Retrievers can ever been in a bad mood. They’re the epitome of a family, friendly, dog.
LOOL, hate to say, ive come across a golden retriever that with no provocation from myself or my dog, would go right into growling and bare their teeth at me and my dog. dont be mistaken by the portrayal of the breed from media like air bud etc, all dogs have the capacity to be aggressive if left untrained. some dogs are much much easier to establish the hierarchy within the home and instill overall good behaviour that would eliminate aggression, this breed would be one of those "easier to train" 🙏💙👍

nothing against the breed, actually one of my favorites for the family friendliness they are known for. i just want it this notion of associating breeds with specif behaviors to be taken with a grain of salt, ive seen pit bulls more well trained than GRetrievers, a dogs demeanour towards other dogs and people, in my opinion, is like 99% based on that dogs interactions with people and other dogs in its earlier years of life which are SOLELY facilitated by the owner of the animal, training training training🤷♂️

I swear he got emotional there - if this was a human you'd see tears of joy flowing. Also shown obvious concern when the little ones got close to the edge - you can see Baily glancing towards his human to possibly interact in case the little ones got too close.
