Hi Fos - When you troll do you use hard body lures ? Most of the fishing I do from my Hobie Outback kayak is trolling mainly in the estuaries between Sydney and Brisbane. Over the years I've found the most successful lure for a wide range of species, particularly flathead, has been the 'Pink Bit' Micro Mullet by Lively Lures.
Hi Peter. Mostly use soft plastics. Have a good collection of hard bodies. I had mixed success with them in the lake. Weed was a problem. Might give them a go again up in the Hastings.
@@fishingwiththefossil.6199 I troll mainly sandy or rocky bottoms that are one to two metres deep. I think the Pink Bit Micro Mullet runs about one metrw below the surface. I suspect its successful beacuse of its size, colour and high frequency action.
Thanks for reaching out Rob. All is well. Just so much on the go at the moment. they lied when they said I would have plenty of spare time after retirement. Most people I know are beach fishing and the lake and river is not productive. Will be putting up a general info video tomorrow. River still pretty dirty. i notice you have another video up but have not had a look yet. Good fishing.
Seems coffee brown water is de riguer for us fishos this season Bob! Good to see you’re still finding fish in it.
Too much fresh water on the East Coast right now. It's a bit frustrating but still nice to be able to be floating above it all.
You are not wrong about the fresh. Very muddy also. Still more to come. Unfortunately as soon as a clear day comes the water beckons.
