  • To this day, I still get tons of questions about compression... What ratio should I use, what is attack time, how do I know if the release time is too short or too long, what is a knee, etc.
    The reason I love ModComp by Apogee Digital SO much is because has multiple visualizers that will give you great insights as to what your compressor is actually doing, even if you're not super able to hear those fine details just yet.
    In this video I go over the entire UI of ModComp and explore some of the parameters you can adjust with compression. We also listen to and view some side by side comparisons of each parameter.
