I just used the PSE-545 in place of a gate and I'm impressed with how transparent it is. Kills all of the stage noise when the singer is just standing there, and cleaned up our vocals soooo much. Very nice!
Finally...someone has explained a proper signal flow from input to main out. I've been struggling wanting to level out my mix for my live stream and in house sound. I've been searching for a video like this for a long time. Can't wait to get on my Wing and reroute everything. Awesome video, thanks Drew.
I am not sure where you received your educational and skillset but man, you really have it. And, you clearly articulate your processes. Thank you for showing us behind the curtain of your mix! I am going to watch this video many times and share with our team.
I am watching this pretty late, better late than never . Thank you so much for such a wonderful explanation, it adds lots of confidence while in front of the board ❤
thanks for this good explanations. Thanks for the whole series on the Wing. I took a lot of suggestions for my next mixes. Even the gate section and setting was really helpful. Hope to bring the drum mikes to more clarity.
Bro, I love this video! Your vids on the M32 saved my life when I was first learning that board and I thoroughly enjoyed this one as well now that I'm starting to work on the Wing. thanks so much for all your hard work putting these together and keep up the great content man!
You ask for suggestions for a video. At my church we use a Wing. We have a range of singers and 2 separate people who play the piano. All of these need different settings so I tried saving snapshots of combinations of people, however the number of combinations is too many to use reliably and if I make a change (e.g. when got drum screens we turned the main volume down in the matrix driving our speakers) I have to save that change to all snap shots. Can you do a video on how you can save settings for one channel and then recall them and apply them to a different channel, e.g. Charlotte originally sang on channel 3 but this week is singing on channel 5 and we want to load her eq and compression settings etc
Thanks for walking us through your workflow! It really helps to see how you make decisions as you build a mix. (I did have one quick request though: would you consider making the board output louder or your voiceover quieter? I'd love to turn my headphones up so I can hear your EQ changes better, but then I find it too loud when you narrate...)
I'm confused why you would make a DCA that only controls a bus, rather than just using the fader for that bus itself?? Thanks so much for the great work by the way!!
I haven't personally used a Behringer WING specifically so I can't confirm 100%, but what you're asking is for a live recording, right? The WING can record multitrack WAVs to either SD cards or through the USB port to a computer with a DAW, or a single stereo-mix WAV (rather than multitrack) to either of those destinations. If you're recording via USB to a DAW, it functions just like any other normal recording interface would.
Thanks for showing us around the wing. The bit I'm not understanding is you are using tracks the have already been recorded. I get your idea of demonstrating what the Wing can do having no EQ, no effects, compressors, gates and building a mix gradually from the kick drum through to every instrument/voice with all the toys. However, how would you do that live as this demo took you an hour for 1 track. Do you get the band to record the whole set and work on each track afterwards and save the mix as a template ? Please put me out of my misery. Thanks, Peter.
Is there a way to control the tap tempo on the wing with an external midi like say from Ableton. Currently use an external lexicon which excepts midi tap from Ableton.
At 2:38 Can you do a video setting up those back end things. Or Save Your Snap and let it be downloadable so we can work along I got confused because this is my first console
Hey Drew, thanks for your awesome videos super helpful. Please I need your help I can't sound out of the Behringer wing using AES50 stagebox. But sound is coming out of the Behringer wing local inputs. Please me
Hello Drew going to use Digital Performer and Finale with Mac. My question is will I get any Pan effects from DP to the X-32 ? Also I want to use Finale with the set up that I send you, the other week. Thank you
hello drew, how to connect a computer to listen and mix a multitrack recording made with the X21 behringer. i try with X-USB and i can do it . thank you a lot
Hi Drew! The Combinator is also my favorite effect on these consoles, it's awesome. Question for you: I like to run my vocals to a bus and then put the combinator on that bus as more of a mastering type multiband. Is there a downside to this other than risking having all the vocals, when all pushed at once, overcompressing?
Where's the hype for the wing lately, I thoroughly enjoyed it when it first came out and then all of a sudden no talk about it. I don't want to invest in something that's already outdated. I do believe it better than the x-32 looking to going digital from analog for our church.
Hi Drew, where or how can i access your workflow.? We looking forward to purchase a new console was inclined to the M32 but after watching this, I think the wing is the way to go
I'll be making some more videos on how to set up the console specifically like this in the future, but I have a full series if you haven't checked it out already. Here is the link to the playlist: ruclips.net/video/nQeVFhfk4dE/видео.html
Too bad that this console has only 8 physical XLR inputs; it's not enough for a console of this type. At least make it 16, so you're forced to buy a stage box as well
Now thats hell of a mix, you are good brother...actually am learning a lot from your videos since we are planning to shift to digital mixing. I like this mixer so far from the x32, i will be intouch for advice when we reach the budget. Please kindly forward me you email.

Thanks for the comment, Brian! I'm glad this video was helpful for you!

Sweet! I've been waiting for this. Drew, you're the best. Thanks for taking us under your WING.
Such a good pun. Glad you liked the video!
I am watching this pretty late, better late than never . Thank you so much for such a wonderful explanation, it adds lots of confidence while in front of the board ❤
YES! So excited for this vid. Thanks for posting, keep it up Drew.
Thanks so much for watching, Matthew!

All I can say is thank you. I just got this console yesterday, I figured it out 80% but see your review as really givens 100% confidence. Thanks
Happy to hear it, John!

Thanks so much, Paige! I can't wait to put out more content on the Wing! Let me know if you have some specific things you want to see videos on!
Hey Drew, Thank you for this great Video. We need some more videos on the WING!!!!!!
The absolute best breakdown of workflow and mix. building I have ever seen! Thank you so much DB!
I appreciate that! I'm glad it was helpful for you!
Long time viewer of yours here. Amazing video! This was so informative and got me excited to implement ideas from this video!
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Drew for this video, I like to see how different engineers uses the wing to get a nice and clean mix 😌
Yes this was awesome….. love to see how others use this board…… I learned so much from this video… Thanks Drew
Glad you enjoyed it!
Again discovered a lot of features in my Wing due to this video - thank you!
Great to hear!
Great mix!
Nice video Drew!
It would be nice to see such a detailed video for the X32.👍

It's a beautiful console. 😍
I love your tutorials sir, wish to you to be my mentor. Even though I dont have access to digital machines.
I'm confused why you would make a DCA that only controls a bus, rather than just using the fader for that bus itself?? Thanks so much for the great work by the way!!
Great Video!
This was awesome you are the best amazing video
Drew, thank you for such a great video. Are you able to bounce out the mix as a .wav file?

Just amazing Congratulations on the beautiful work, thanks for sharing your knowledge
Thank you! Cheers!
I would appreciate to get more insights about the PSE plug-in. I am not quite sure how it works.
I'll make sure to do a video about this in the future! It is one of my favs!
It is just great, how you explain the things. But one thing I wanna know, how the DAW button lights up? Because you are in DAW mode???
Thanks for showing us around the wing. The bit I'm not understanding is you are using tracks the have already been recorded. How did you use the combinator on multiple channels? I do it and it wants to switch it to just one of the channels on the insert. Anyone know?
Hey Drew! Thanks for this.
What's your favourite Reverb for drums on the wing?
I don't think you showed it in this video.
Thanks

Hey drew. Ive been a big fan for years, now on the wing I’m confused how you got the combinator on those three vocals. Straight up burn a bus?
I keep getting rattle snap on our churches snare drum. Sounds tinny
God says that is beautiful 🤩❤️
Hey thx! But How U do sound check on wing with a DAW?
Any way to get these tracks to practice with? Thank you
Hello Drew, Is there a way to get the multi track recording you are using in this video for me to practice the techniques.
At 2:38 Can you do a video setting up those back end things. Or Save Your Snap and let it be downloadable so we can work along I got confused because this is my first console
Yes, absolutely! I'll be making some videos on this soon!
I have questions on your bus set up
Hey Drew, thanks for your awesome videos super helpful. Please I need your help I can't sound out of the Behringer wing using AES50 stagebox. But sound is coming out of the Behringer wing local inputs. Please me
Hi Drew do you do private lessons please?
Very good tutorial. We need (venue sc48) digital console using tutorials
Hello Drew going to use Digital Performer and Finale with Mac.
My question is will I get any Pan effects from DP to the X-32 ?
Also I want to use Finale with the set up that I send you, the other week.
Thank you
Hi Drew, that is a great video. Totally loved it. is it possible to get the multitrack so i can practice with it. Thanks
not the exact song that drew mix on.
but you will go crazy over this link. especially all the bands doing live recording for Telefunken
hello drew, how to connect a computer to listen and mix a multitrack recording made with the X21 behringer. i try with X-USB and i can do it . thank you a lot
Where is wing compact version
Hello my friend, I have X-LIVE, how do I call the inheritances and files in X32? Thank you
Is it possible to get these multitrack for practice?
I am working on getting a multi-track that I am legally able to share with everyone that wants it. Keep an eye out in the future for it!
What panels are those behind you ? They look like sounds isolation material

i watched this whole video hoping for sure he'd use the auto-tune built in to the wing.....

How is this not a pay for master class lol
The Behringer wing needs an urgent update that includes DCA spill. DCA spill is a big miss even the X32 has it.
The DCA spill would be a great feature!

I think synth sound should be a bit higher than guitar for this song..a bit..
As a keyboardist, I agree.
Not because I want keys louder, but because keys play such an important role in worship.
Our problem is over tweaking
Can you do this in 20 minutes? It all sound nice, but I would leave, when after 20 minutes we are listening on floor tom gate. 🤷♂️
And not appreciating the talent they have.
