I love plant extracts. I think they are very under studied for skincare and it is disappointing that they are unlikely to be well studied any time soon because there is already a market for them. I have had the best time with green tea and ginseng. Bakuchiol I may want to try some day; it is definitely an interesting plant
I couldn't agree with you more- I really wish there was more independent research done on lots of skincare ingredients. It is a shame because so much of the research is done by brands who go on and patent the ingredients which make them unavailable for everyone to use until the patent runs out 20 years later. Rant over.
Any thoughts on this brand called terrafique? They have a bakuchiol serum as well. My sister used it once and said the results were good. Please make a review on this as well.
I haven't tried it. It does amaze me how many brands are out there- I swear each day I hear about at least one brand I hadn't heard of before. The one question I have for this brand is if they use bakuchiol in this serum or if they are using the Psoralea Corylifolia Extract. They have them listed on their ingredient list as the same thing but they are not the same ingredient. That makes me a little concerned about this serum. Either they "cheaped out" by not using actual bakuchiol, the ingredient list was changed in translation, or they don't understand the difference between the two. The other ingredients look nice though -love Turmeric and Ferulic Acid.
PC still has some of the best retinol products on the market- so many hydrating and soothing ingredients which prevent the dryness that retinol can have on skin.
@@NOBSBeauty I just love that I can get a double whammy in terms of benefits. And the bakuchiol definitely helps to prevent some of the sensitization that retinol can cause. Serious Skincare has a serum Wrinkle Rebel that has Vitamins C, E, Ferulic Acid and Bakuchiol. I want to try it. It made my mom’s skin glow. I’ve used the brand 15+ years so I expect great results 🎉
Acure has a bakuchiol serum and a bakuchiol cream that I’ve been wanting to try. I’m currently using one by Avalea Skincare and haven’t yet decided if I like it or not.
@@NOBSBeauty I'm a tret girly too. I'm surprised that you haven't been using it yet, but since you have experience with retinol otc, transitioning to tret should be easier for you than most. The irritation only occurred whenever I leveled up the tret percentage and as I said only in the first couple of weeks.
