A little about me:

Ahh yes prime day....the bane of my existence this week lol
I'm only writing this because I'm actually looking to buy a guitar at the moment. I'm no expert by any means. But to me, all electric guitars sound pretty much the same. It's hard for me the to tell if the small differences I do hear are just different strings, amp etc. I would much rather know about the build quality, neck action and playability. Maybe even the genres that are played on that type of guitar. Hope I don't sound pretentious or anything. Love the vids guys!
Definitely. It won’t be until til later where your ears will develop to hear small differences but you def want to find something that plays well!

I’ve seen and heard a small Hello Kitty guitar sound like a 10,000 dollar guitar. It’s what pick ups and amp your pushing it through…..
Thanks for comparing the two Donner guitar models. I think both guitars sounded pretty good, especially for the price point.
Does Donner make any Les Paul style guitars you’d recommend?
I play acoustic, kinda, and my question is if I were to teach a grandson, who seems to be interested in learning the guitar, would it be better for him to learn using an electric or acoustic? I've only picked up an electric a few times, but did notice pressing the strings down is less difficult. Thanks.
You might want to look at nylon string guitars, as they aren't as harsh on the fingers. Also, with a wider fingerboard, it can be a little easier to fingerpick and get fingers on the frets. 3/4 size student models are pretty inexpensive.
Overall, I think acoustics are more unforgiving and reward clean playing, as every mistake gets heard. Electrics are pretty forgiving, while sometimes easier to play.
Just opinions, mind you. If he's really into it and wants to play like grandpa, he may do well with an acoustic.

I would recommend pranking him with an old pawn shop special with rusted strings a quarter inch (at least) off its warp necked which, after slicing up his fingertips may require a tetanus shot, that he gets a sense of what our first guitar's were like. Then present him with either of the electric guitars Sean and Andrea are demonstrating. Good value.

If your voice inflection was a guitar effect pedal, what would it be called?
The end bumper? The final say? Anyone else? Sean? It's unique and I'm not being mean or anything. I promise!
Curious what you think regarding the tone/sustain.
The 400 has the open humbucker and two point trem, while the 152 is covered, with a standard 6 screw trem.
Not sure if the steel trem blocks are much different between the two, but these above mentioned differences could certainly have an effect on the tone/sustain.
Would prefer the Squier Affinity HSS for $230. Cheaper than the Donner but is it better? I'm not sure, but Squier's been around longer....

Yes but the classic vibe is considered excellent value for the price.
