Thanks for this. I got mine last week and even as a raw beginner (their target audience methinks) I did notice the things you mentioned pertaining to the tuners and the electronic tuner. Other things I kind of thought too, but being so new wasn't sure. That said? I'm really happy with it so far and having a ton of fun learning.
You're welcome. Awesome that you got yourself involved with the guitar! And great that you like the new axe of yours... now just keep practicing every day!
yo about the wood of the neck, it says here that its a maple fretboard for the black and sunburst variants of this guitar, and the white / poplar blue variants have laurel fretboard.
1:36 It's pretty amazing that the company would send a demo guitar out with such a crooked neck, as revealed by the extreme string spacing misalignment at the fretboard edges.
Thank you for saying that! You can find the dimensions, specs, weight, etc. here: guitaristnextdoor.com/donner-dst-152-review/#donner-dst-152r-specs 😎👍
Unfortunately I don't know, I already sold mine and I didn't measure the radius. There's no radius info on the manufacturer's website either. But based on playing this guitar a lot, the radius is in the 9.5"-12" range, that is only an estimate tho. Thanks for commenting! :)
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 yeah ok ..what I do like about mine is I can bang on it at any 4 hour gig, cause it looks good and gets the job done and keep my good shit for the studio.

Very in-depth review. I like your reviewing style 👍 Too many gear "reviews" on YT are just demos or look more like a commercial for the product.
Thank you! Yep. The most popular ones are like that, unfortunately. It's great that we like the same style👌 Thanks for commenting!😊👍
So many detailled Informations in one Video, love it. Keep on, greetings from germany 🤘
Thank you for your kind words Rick! I will keep it up, thanks for commenting and greetings from Finland! 😊👍

I agree. That was a mistake on their part. But otherwise, this was pretty solid.
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 Yeah, on the things that really matter, they seem to get universally good reviews. The neck's a quick and easy fix.
So the bridge pickup wasn't too dark with the 250 k pot? I don't think I've ever played humbucker with a 250k pot. I do like them for the single coil.
Not too dark IMO.
Thanks for the detailed review. How heavy is this thing?

Hello :) Do you recommend this one DST-152R or DST-100R from donner? this one seems to have better features?
Hi! I haven't played the 100R, but I would personally go with 152R. At least my copy was a rock-solid budget guitar :) Thanks for commenting!
@@guitaristnextdoor8430 thanks for answering :)
Hieno esittely ja kiva kanava! Nice video and keep on going!
Hello there could ou please tell what is the neck radius of this guitar?

Hello GND.....is it true this guitar is a shortscale 3/4 size guitar? Can you provide me the scale length please....thanks....
Hello to you! It's not a 3/4 sized, that's for sure. Seems like a normal 25.5" to me. thanks for commenting!😊👍
What do you do for living by the way, how do you make money? me just curious
Thanks for commenting again! I run my website for living😊
Where do u buy it
I got this one for free. I believe I say it on the video

Better if the trem springs were straight.
Looks like a thousand bucks but definitely plays feels and sounds like 200 bucks..trust me I know.
To me, it looks like 250 bucks and plays like 250 bucks. trust me. I know too.

@@hankramos8663 that's pretty great for under $200 axe. Thanks for commenting again Hank!

It was not too dark in my opinion, that's just me tho. :)
