Its not just that, the iphone 6 was notorious for its battery issues. I am not sure if the thinness caused this issue and i am also unsure if the ipad will suffer the same issue.

They did bring it up actually. It’s on the back of the iPadPro. They use the current feedback from the community to continue building objects for the future. My iPadPro had a pop-up that asked if they could access camera info (forever ago). They determined that the camera removed was used, on average .6 times a year by each user. That means NOBODY was using it on the pro, and it was safe to remove.
All of that and they still manage to make the bezel 1 cm thick so the next model they release can purposely have a thinner bezel to look more appealing
They already fold like pancakes anyways, if you have one expect it to be bent if you put it in a full backpack😂 my iPad Air 4 is bent in like 4 spots but it still all works fine and they’re pretty minimal so I don’t care that much.
my 2018 iPad Pro 12,9" bent on its own, no joke. When you would put it on top of a PC, the magnets would react to the metal and it would bend a little after some days. It was just slight, but still - shouldn't happen on a $1000 device.

Slight pressure of the thumb (where your thumb doesn't start to bend yet) is enough. These things do bend like crazy. You can also just fire up your search engine and check news reports about these exact iPads bending IN THE BOX.

You want multiple cameras on your phone? The third camera on apple devices was actually a LiDAR sensor & the second camera was for zooming out. They combined all that into one camera and put a wifi Beamer instead.
As an ipad pro user I say that wide angle camera is actualy the one that i used way more than the regular one. Its something you use to quickly film or snap and have to fit in a lot of area. For example its very useful to record rehearsals because you don’t need no tripod and just leave it in the magic keyboard. The only time I use the regular camera is when I’m scanning documents and its by design not by choice. For all the other work related photographing a phone is usually better due to “zoom” lens, night mode and convenience of being in the pocket.
If you want to know what the camera has been replaced with, it’s a backside ambient light sensor. You can see it on Apple’s website if you compare it with the previous versions. It is not just for looks
A) the ipad pros camera was changed to give it the ability to do superior document scanning which is why they added the new light... B) that 12 mp camera is likely to be a really decent camera that takes excellent pics! And maybe wait and see what it can do before freaking out about one less lens, C) ipads are used to take pics and vids, (tho, mostly for streaming in my experience!) but that isn't the primary function... D) camera ability is great, but a redesigned landscape one for zoom or streaming/content creation is more welcome... maybe wait till we start using these things before saying its a big deal the second lens isn't there... if the one lens does as much as the dual lens you don't need the dual lens! The only things the camera on my iPad has ever been used for are QR codes in class and quick scanning of documents. LiDAR is really useful for quick measurements and scanning rooms/ objects.

Because they included the ambient sensor which is a godsend to many who use the iPad Pro camera for: scanning documents! I have the M2 IPad Pro and I use it to collect and collated printed data.
Imo most users should just buy older ipad pro models (if they are gonna buy the pro) since most people cannot really fully make use of the m4 chip (unless they are an editor or someone who requires apps that require a lot of power) since the older ipads are now cheaper and they’re enough for average buyers. I have an m1 ipad pro as an artist and still struggle to take full advantage of the chip. Now that there is a larger screen size option available in thr ipad air, i think its a better purchase than buying a 13 inch ipad pro for average users. If they had the larger screen size when i bought my ipad, i would definitely have gotten it.
