    Great video. I’m looking to get another Magna this year. The one thing that bothers me about the Magna from the 90’s is when I stand back and look at the bike the tire size just looked to small. Glad I’m not the only one lol. The change of wheels/Tires totally changed the look. Great job man. Got me fired up knowing this is the route I’ll take!

    I've been waiting for this video, thanks bro. Been wanting to do this for awhile and need to start gathering parts.

    Great explanation of what's needed. I have a feeling this might wind up being a project this winter while I have my 96 torn apart for powder coat and paint.

    Man Oh man oh man... I'm telling you... Mad props to your skills brother. Now with the increased wheelbase, Have you noticed What they would call a longer trail of the rear tire to the front tire. Meaning, Your overall turning radius has increased ? It seems to me it should have, But With an overall increase in your wheelbase if that's true, Your stability In straight line acceleration the must have increased as well. I've been a subscriber for probably up to 3 years Now. Been following the progression of this project, And you haven't disappointed. Excellent work, Keep it going. Head on the swivel and cover your break. Later my friend.

      I have not noticed an increase in turning radius but I only stretched it 3 7/8s inch. But I haven’t had an issue with it wanting to raise on me. I think the profile of the new tires made up a huge difference in turning radius and how quick it turns. You have been a subscriber from the beginning of the channel for sure and always look forward to your comments

    Awesome mod! Wish I had this on my bike for the rear disk alone

    Bella, hai fatto un gran lavoro, l'unica cosa che non mi piacciono sono gli scarichi, io preferisco quelli doppi per lato✌🏼

    Hello, would the direct exchange of the front of the cbr f3 be very different in terms of height and travel?

    What was the purpose of the rear wheel swap to get disc brakes? How much wider is the rim?

    • @jamesrevels
      @jamesrevels  2 года назад

      The rear rim is 5.5 inch wide. I didn’t swap for the brakes, I swapped for better tire choice. Hard to find a drag tire for a 15” rim. By going to the CBR900 wheel I can use a 17” tire and go from the 150 to a 180 and I have options for drag radials

    About vf to vfr swap. I suppose you tune up on the vf750c engine before swap. What did you do. Greatful for reply, thanks.

      I haven’t done the VFR swap yet. Still waiting on the final parts. The tune up was done about two years ago

      @@jamesrevels OK, but I'm interested what you did with your VF750c engine (not vfr engine). I suppose you made some tune ups on that. Tks for reply.

    how do you find driving in the curves and does it rub more since you lowered it?
    I want to do the same thing with mine and I measured the suspension of the cbr is 1 inch and a half shorter, would it be too low on the ground?
    thank you !

    • @jamesrevels
      @jamesrevels  2 года назад +1

      Mine is lowered an inch. I feel like it handles better in the curves because of the profile of the tires. I do have a slight amount of running on the tail light but that is only because mine is stretched

      I will say the brakes on the magna is better than the CBR brakes. I only changed the wheels due to better tire selection for drag racing. I’m still battling brake issues
