Woman", from the same album as "riders on the storm", l.a. woman is the title track, all the reactors do it, its so, so epic (in part of the lyric, jim scrambles up the letters of his name to spell/say "Mr. mojo risin' ".....think, imo, that song is their #1 masterpiece, from their last album, and they go out with quite a bang....also, "been down so long" from that same album, and ...sh!t, theres too many songs to name from them, "5 to 1", "wild child", "peace frog" , "you make me real", the live version "who do u love?" a Bo Diddly cover done brilliantly...they were dope, --- ive been binging ur doors reactions tonight (i binged your stevie ray vaughan reactions a frw months ago, and commented and u replied, u were super, super chill), ...anyway, ur reactions are great, keep up the good work:D < 3

Jim Morrison was a poet and a philosopher. He studied it. He was also a graduate from UCLA Film School. That is where he met Ray Manzereck the Keyboard. Also, Hollywood Director Francis Ford Coppola who directed the movie Apocalypse Now. Which opens with The End was a graduate from the same school.
Jim did a good job of expunging hatred between us all. He believed in love and sharing the world in peace. The establishment create hate between black and white etc to divide and de power us. Jim was a lover not a fighter. His genius tried to speak to us of that. I admire him greatly for his high standards and huge talent and the way he used it to send us the message. The music is the vehicle and it’s great.

Yeah he did a lot of crazy stuff on stage it's true man the cops arrested him at one occasion because he smarted off because the cops had beat up his girlfriend backstage and he announced to all the people in the audience what happened and then they got pissed off and arrested him of course that happened another time that's a whole another story you know what I love about this song is oh yeah that ending where they used the tape and they mess with it as it's going through the tape player and then it's already recorded but they take it and jiggle the the tape reels it's what's if you will intentional wow and flutter I guess so yeah this is before they use synthesizers so they just came up with a really cool effect
I got to see them in Hawaii, live at the HIC arena. I think the tickets were $3.00 each. One of the best concerts I've been to. I just wish my memory wasn't so rusty.
