When I was in my teens and twenties I used to go guitar searching on Saturdays by train to the city and anywhere else I thought there might be some great gear to be drooled over but now I love watching your videos of places I would have never been able to get to. I am a Strat Fanatic as I own five but this one seems a little expensive ! Cheers Shane.
As a lefty player I have never enjoyed going to guitar shops as everything in the store is geared for right handers. I understand they need to sell to the whole market, but outside of the specialty shop in Florida that caters to lefties, every other shop is like “we might have a left-handed tele or strat in the back.” So I shop online. First world problem, for sure.
Frustrated Lefty Guitarists Unite !!.. The Struggle is Real ! Got 2 Guitar centers near me... Over a thousand guitars between the two stores....Not a single Lefty. I've had better success finding cool guitars at Pawn Shops, than Any guitar store.
Amazing shop!!!! Those acoustic guitars, especially the Fenic sound majestic!!! I definitely need to make a trip down!! Once again happy belated birthday!!!!😎😎😎🎸🎸🎸🎸😂
Re the back of the French check out the small builder Ellis guitar in Perth hills he has a couple of pictures of builds with really nice backs. Love the gene he though very good guitars
A great store 10 minutes from my place which is far too tempting. Bought my Hoffner Bass, mandolin and a few ukes there over the years. Make sure to get a selfie with Elvis while you are at it.
@intheblues Hey mate, you're most welcome. Sorry I haven't dropped a comment as much as usual, been busy with my band! 👍 Really always enjoy your content though, keep up the good work.
Not sure about Fenech. The guitar shops are pushing them hard, like the margin might be too good for them. They also used to push Matons, and they sound like cardboard boxes (until they are 30+yo)
@@daviddalziel884 Hard to be humble when he respects his blues roots and (damn) plays like that. However in my case it is only gear envy…peace on brother Dave…
whatever instrument you play it always sounds great , unfortunately that’s not fore sale :) , great video as aleays , its kinda my breakfast entertainment in Phuket Thailand
Thanks mate. Sadly, we didn't get a chance to film over there for this channel. I want to go back. Japan is awesome. Maybe early next year or something I'll line some up :)
I played a 35k 65 strat for sale at my local sam ash. It was a hunk of junk 😂. Really got the vintage appeal out of my system permanently, it left an awful taste in my mouth.
Just like modern instruments, even a good brand put out lemons back in the day. The vintage thing is 99% bs. They made great stuff then and they made junk back in the day, just like now.
How long has 'Fenech' been around? I've always been a bit bothered by the smaller manufacturers who seem to pick names that sound like more prestigious brands. Like Maton/Martin, or Fenech/Fender... Even their logo looks like it's trying to emulate the Fender design? Like, is there also a 'TYLER' acoustic guitar company? lol Or am I wrong, and Maton/Fenech have actually been around as long as Martin & Fender? lol
No , these Australian made guitars are not ‘as good as you will find anywhere in the world , hand made’. These are of average quality and are simply adorned guitars but, they are expensive for what they are. These cannot compare with the better quality factory American & European guitars and then there is another level above even those. Matons and Cole Clark are about lower to mid level Martin / Taylor quitars, certainly not even near the upper levels of these manufacturers. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few hand built guitars in Australian that are about the best in the world ( some are many tens of thousands of dollars) but, not these .
Australian made acoustics are fantastic. Try a high-end acoustic and see how you go. If you're comparing a 325c against a high end Martin, I agree - but try some of their custom models, they are unreal. That said, it's all personal choice though :-)
That's why as a left-hander, I play guitar on the right, you have access to a lot more guitar. Guitar... More guitar. Thank you for the share.

I won't watch lefty guitar players. It doesn't look right. It's not normal. It looks funny. Guitars were meant for right-hand players.
@@Frank-vi6xzno - guitars are equally able to be manufactured and played both left and right handed.
Sooo… you are skipping out on Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Elliot Easton, Albert King, Kurt Cobain, Tony Iommi, Zacky Vengeance?
@@Frank-vi6xz handy if your guitar teacher is left handed, it's a mirror image (up to a point)

Welcome to BrisVagas!!!!!!!
Do you mean Brizbland ?! 🤣🎶
Those Fenechs sound amazing!
nice 62 strat. is it playing well I wonder. I do dabble in vintage guitars but i have trouble pulling the trigger at that level. hmm...
They make some great acoustic guitars in Australia
100% Between Maton, Cole Clark, and Fenech, there are plenty of nice ones to choose from.
62 Stratocaster, a thing of dreams 😍
Hendrix Era! :)
@@intheblues slab board as well 😍
Shane, just curious. Why isn't there a ring on her left ring finger ? ❤

Go the Goldentone. 62 Strat is a killer Guitar.. Top shop top Video.
Who needs two kidneys anyway?

Amazing guitars. Too bad the 62 Strat isn't lefty.
The legendary Bonomassa hoard continues to grow!!!
He made it the hard way and deserves to indulge…however…
….He comes across a bit smug ? His concert tickets are overpriced?

Wow, a '62. Those must be hard to find in Australia!
That back looks like monarch butterfly wings!!!!!
$43K and feels just like a squier doesn't it?

good to see - did you make it to Pedal Empire and Guitar Brothers while in Brisbane?
Thanks! I didn't get there on this trip, hopefully next time.
Yeah (yawn,) I had a 62. They're ok.
Great-looking store. Any Guitar Search Saturdays from Japan on the pipeline?

I am pretty sure it's the builders last name.
Yeah… and if it was a left handed model it would be twice as much as that!
How can a relic guitar be in immaculate condition?
easily. It's in brand new condition, no fret wear, no dents, or things falling off.
Compare it to a $50 cup of coffee...

No offense but Brisbane looks absolutely dismal
Places always look different when it rains. Check the previous episode in the sun, it's a very different vibe.
