    The problem with a lot of these type of videos is they don’t tell you what to do when things go wrong. “Before you add the tip, Make sure you have good flow through both hoses”. So what do I do if there is not good flow through one of the hoses? Telling me what to look for is good. But telling me what to do if I don’t see it is better. And rare.

      I’m not sure what you would do sure use heat source to warm them up. I just know how my foam is spraying to know the temperature to put them at if it’s colder out side temperature goes up on the hose heat and r heater meaning b side temperature but may maintain A side res sid. If it’s to hot I like let it sit for 30-45 mins to cool Down.
      Rule of thumb if it’s to cold it will drip bad and it’s to hot. It being fingerey. It’s Easier to deal with colder temperatures to raise it to make good foam and good yeid but harder to spray with o hot of foam.

    So it is important to have your work area prepared, clear of obstructions. Think how you will apply and move the hose/tanks as you complete an area and be free of any obstacles that could snag your hose/tanks to fall over.

    I want to insulate a floor from the bottom. The room is a small addition 14’x7’ that sits on piers and is open to the elements in Vermont. Would this product be suitable for that purpose? The floor joists for this addition are 2x8. Can I spray additional layers of foam over tacked up layers to build up to fill the joist cavities? Thanks.

    if I insulate the inside of my roof on one of those tuna cans they sell /metal building, can i use the high density foam or will it push the tin out of order?

    • @IDIDistributors
      @IDIDistributors  2 года назад

      It will depend on the gauge of the metal as well as how thick the foam is. If it’s done in the proper application there will be no problem. Thousands of metal buildings are insulated with high density SPF each year with no issues. Hope this helps!

    Hi, I'd really like to use a foam kit here in Bogotá Colombia but they're not sold here, I telephoned the airline fright department in Miami and they said no no. No chemicals under pressure. The two components are sold here and are used on the big pro machines. I have an idea but I need a little information; I could import just the Gun, nozzles and houses and hook them up to two fumigation containers that can be pumped up for pressure fumigation. Do you think this would work? Where could I buy just the Gun with the nozzles and house? Thank you.

    Can you use handy foam on the exterior of a roof?

    • @IDIDistributors
      @IDIDistributors  4 года назад

      Jim, Thank you for your question. First, we would caution you that installing foam roofs is very technical and only for highly experienced spray foam contractors. Foam overspray has been known to travel long distances and result in very expensive clean-up projects. That said, HandiFoam does offer three pound density foam kits that can be used to repair foam roofs. Kits are offered in 60, 115, and 340 board foot sizes. If you need pricing, please let us know by filling out the form link or contact the local branch in your area.

      @@rkdk8472 I'm not totally qualified to answer this but I do know that there is a two component liquid available from plastics suppliers that is used for molds and filling big cavities: that stuff does work for vertical spaces. Spray Jones also mentions this in his 10 commandments video.

    If I want 2 inches of foam, do I add a second layer when the first layer is dry?

    • @IDIDistributors
      @IDIDistributors  Год назад

      Hi Tony! Yes, you should wait for the first layer to dry before applying the second layer. Typically, it can take about 40-50 minutes for the first layer to completely dry, but 2 things to make sure you keep in mind is that you should not go over 2 inches thick with these kits, and the foam should not be left exposed. Thanks!
