great kit. I just used two to cover the full exterior of my little travel trailer. One of the four bottles was past due by 6 months but still worked great. 3-4 inches ( more in some spots) top sides front and back. right over window areas. will need another for the bottom. the biggest thing was the 4 gallons of paint I had to spray on to protect it from the Sun. may go over that with plastidip due to the high amount of hail in the area - could crack the paint. highly recommend tje kits. Kind of fun too - glad I did it.
Hi, I'd really like to use a foam kit here in Bogotá Colombia but they're not sold here, I telephoned the airline fright department in Miami and they said no no. No chemicals under pressure. The two components are sold here and are used on the big pro machines. I have an idea but I need a little information; I could import just the Gun, nozzles and houses and hook them up to two fumigation containers that can be pumped up for pressure fumigation. Do you think this would work? Where could I buy just the Gun with the nozzles and house? Thank you.
I recently attended a workshop hosted by local HVAC/R supply house and asked this very question. I was informed it could indeed be used for underside of attic. I’d use the 750FR with CPDS Machine for better work flow and overall spray foam insulation end product.
It's mentioned that this is disposable. Once you buy this kit, can you keep refilling and using the kit for other project? Or is this a kit that you use once and dispose of the whole thing, then buy another one for another project?
I wanted to foam the roof of my Snomobile Trailer .. It has been Miserably hot here in Michigan ... Now that I decide to try a foam project it has dropped to 60.F and cooler.. After knowing what I learned from this Video .. I think I will wait until next summer to try my Project..
I'll stick with the tall can and gun sprayer. Just foam the cracks, long lines, and penetrations. It's much cheaper that way. Then I'll cover it with rockwoll batting. Covering an entire wall, ceeling or floor would be crazy expensive. This foam is better off being just used for air sealing.
I see other Brands of foam kits.. they won't eventell you the Density of their foam ect.. This Company gives you a lot of necessary information .. you need to know to make an informed decision and to know what you need to do the job correctly .
RED NOTICE! in Canada this product only comes with 10 "CONICAL" nozzles. NO FAN nozzles!! To fill in the space between studs, a huge amount of foam is wasted and it's impossible to apply the foam evenly. The result is probably a waste of 30% of the foam trying to get it evenly distributed between studs, even if you have the product tanks, room air and target surface well above 70 degrees. There is NO way to determine if both tanks are sending equal amounts of liquid components to the gun (even with both valves CAREFULLY opened 3 complete turns) - with the result that one tank may empty while the other still has 20%-30% left in it. I was very meticulous about keeping the nozzle tip clean, maintaining flow with no pauses more than 30 seconds between shooting it on, and ensuring that when changing tips, I wiped down, perpendicular to the two feed tube tips in the gun. Despite all these precautions, at the end, one tank did have a considerable amount of product left in it. What a waste of money and time. The Dow system is probably a better bet for instructions, design and providing the user with the appropriate gun tips to do the job properly.
Can you elaborate more regarding the difference in conical versus fan nozzles when in use with the DAP Touch ‘N Seal spray foam system? Also, is your comment in reference to the more expensive option which comes with CPDS Machine and corresponding 750FR Foam Kit? I just placed an order for such in my local supply house since I’m an HVAC contractor. Right now I’m informed of delays resulting in an unknown ship date to my office, but doing my due diligence now to ensure purchase was a good decision when compared to alternative manufacturer’s closed cell spray foam options.
Over 750 bucks to do a 6 X 10 area at 1 inch thick. That's over 12.50 a square foot for R-6.3. According to Remodeling Expense.com, the average cost to have it done by a spray foam contractor at 3 inches thick, R-18.9, is 6.48 per square foot. Cheers.
Just use caution when purchasing check date! It's very expensive, I decided not to use after purchased. Sorry the date is expired and we can't give you a refund!!

How to get that square footage you indicate on kit in real life?
Can this be applled to concrete or do I require a vapour bearier
My room is 12'x13'x6'10" and I want to cover the ceiling joists as well. What kit do I need? Thanks.
A board foot is 1 foot by 1 foot by 1" Normally you apply 2 1" thick layers of foam .

Is this an open cell or a closed cell foam? What is the R value per inch of cured foam, and will it stick to the metal walls of a shipping container?
It is closed cell foam. R value is approx 7 per inch. Yes it will stick to virtually any substrate that's clean and dry

Did you mean $750 for 600 sqft? That would be $1.25 / sqft :)
@@daveweeden8632 6 X 10 = 60 sq. ft. ??
600 sqft kits cost $825 up here in Canada at the big orange store, assumed you meant a similar kit at $750 US.

Lame.... Never mentioned how much to apply or how much it expands, and never talked about the product qualities itself.
