Its the best portable PA for size, quality, portability and price. Lots of places where I can't use a generator and this thing just checks all the boxes.
Update from Denmark (were they are made): They have now been banned from use in certain areas of Copenhagen after 8 on weekdays and 10 on Fridays and Saturdays
@@digitaldjtips It's all amplified portable speakers - but it's 100% based on soundboks - the name is in all the news headlines, and in the anti-soundboks facebook groups that have forced the local politicians to act
I have a Soundboks 2 and love it. Highly recommend. No battery problems in my experience. I’ve played it for 9+ hours at about level 9 outdoors (on indoor mode which works for my needs) and the battery is still about half charged.
Phil I brought 2 of them have been watching them for a minute they have a sale going on now... yes they are really loud will be testing the battery soon... want to have 5 of them to surround crowd and a good sub for bass
So I’ve listened to this speaker and it’s pretty good, but the upper bass seems heavy which can distract from the mid to lower bass that this has. Did you have this same impression Phil w/o EQ adjustment?
Totally agree it would be great if they offered a sub as well. My solution is pairing a couple of these with a currently unused JL Audio 12 W7-3 in a factory spec ported box on wheels. The Soundboks' are on order so I haven't tested it yet but that should easily cover the missing low end.
Been looking for a dual purpose wireless wedding ceremony speaker and boat party speaker! Stoked to test drive this one. The Roland BA 330 is decent but the bass output from two 6" woofers is a bit lacking. I wish I waited to buy it lol.
When you link up multiple SBs, in the app you cat set each individual one to play Left/Right/Mono. 5 connect wirelessly, if you need more synced you run cable between 2 masters (and have 4 slaves connect wirelessly to each).
If you already have 2 soundboks 3. Do you think the subwoofer in the soundboks in enough for a really big party or festival. Or would just more soundbokses do the trick ;)
We hate them in Denmark (were they are from) But it's mainly because EVERYONE in Copenhagen have them, so every park or stretch of beach have a few of them doing a sound volume battle The company behind them were actually in the national news several times last year, where they were asked what they was going about ruining outdoor live for everybody There were even talks about banning them from being used outside
Anybody that goes into a public place and tries to blast their music and drown out everybody else is an asshole and deserves to have their $1,000 loud toy box destroyed in front of their face...
It depends on how loud you want it to be for that party. If you want it to hurt your ear being loud then you probably should have two or more soundbokses but if you need loudness that is very loud but bot extremly loud then one soundboks will do the trick
Phil, since you mentioned wanting a half size (mini Soundboks) battery powered speaker, was curious if you'd given the JBL Eon One Compact a go. It's a battery powered 8" speaker from JBL
I’ve got a pair of Eon One Speakers from JBL - they are amazing. I’ve been eyeballing the Soundboks; but the portability and sound quality of the Eon One is great and does the job for small venues.
The design on the thin Battery lead being what holds the Battery looks terrible, i imagine said lead not lasting very long on even damaging the connection on the Speaker itself after a while of being moved about and Battery changes ect. Also if you using them at Home/Indoors why no way to run off the mains without the Batteries as it will extend the life of your Batteries greatly, unless it does this but its not clear from the video. They certainly look like a good first effort but for the monies they are asking some of these basic things need to be addressed for the next iteration for sure.

100% agree until they came out with the software update. Now, there are pre-set EQ or, you can simply design your own using the SB app. Really made a huge difference in the sound quality.
They really sound great at loud volumes as well. + multiple sound profiles. The winner though is removable battery. Play it loud and as long as you have batteries u r in good shape other portable Pa battery powered speakers become paper weights in 3 hours once the batteries die. Heavy useless paperweights.
In my opinion!! The JBL has great bass but the bass kind of drowns the highs! On the Soundboks the highs are great with the bass but the bass is still kinda quiet! (My opinion)
@@ryanwilkins6171 Yea I agree that the bass can be a little quiet but that is if you have it on the normal power mode and on low volume. But if you turn it upp and put it to bass+ then it becomes a speaker that will suprise you with bass. Especially when you think about it having a battery...
Battery powered doesn't impress me. I already have to take a generator with me wherever I set up anyway so I think I'll just stick with saving up for those Mackie's
@@alyssalovethedj just curious what you are using now? I plan on doing outside parties and will need a generator as well, but looking for an all in one speaker like this that has a good bass where I don’t have to purchase a sub separately
Find me another speaker that can do everything this one does for this price. It does not exist. If you don't need the pro panel & app, save $300 and get the SB2.

Per sub woofers. While an engineering student at Full sail, I learned that bass takes a ridiculous amount of power. Not sure if this can be overcome.
Loud and clean speaker with replaceable battery battery lasts 4 hrs plus at loud volumes connect with Denon prime go and jam wirelessly
Nice one :)
That is exactly what I was going to comment.😁
Much longer than 4 hours. I used it quite loud for 2 nights & one afternoon, before the battery died.

They dont have to make it smaller just add wheels and a handle
Just add holes - so you can use wheels and a handle if needed and sell them as accessories
And then you look deeper at SKAA and learn about RED mode and you wonder why you would ever use Bluetooth again.
