- From the 25th October Critical Role live show, the audience sings the theme song through sound issues
Apologies to the person who was sat behind me and got a full face full of phone camera Игры
I did not comprehend the SCALE of the audience they were performing in front of until this video! Holy shit, no wonder Matt looked so nervous!
Remember that this sold out so quickly too that my friend only just managed to get tickets with them trying on like 4 devices...
@@AnnabelleSpenderSame thing happened for getting autograph tickets for them at NYCC a few weeks before this. I lucked out and was able to meet 5 of them.
this is why nerds stick together
Yeah that’s why I’m not worried about the viewer ship being lower than it was before. They still a huge fan base and market that I’m not worried about them leaving any time soon. Well…unless they stop themselves.
just imagine being a nerd in the 80s, being laughed at for playing dnd and now ten thousands are playing and watching
dnd.
Oh i don’t have to imagine it! 😊. Watching my childhood passion flourish has been extremely satisfying.
my dad grew up in the 70s and 80s and he loved dnd. he started his own dnd club at school, he went to comic conventions just for dnd, and he was laughed at a lot. but now, he’s starting a new campaign with friends. i’m so glad dnd has grown into what it is today. i can share my dads lifelong passion and he can rediscover what he loved about it
I don't need to imagine it. I got laughed at for playing D&D back in the ancient dark days of 2008.
Aah the good old times, glad they are over, now even my cousings and brother who laugh the most at me, understand what dnd is
I literally had no clue that there wasn't background music.
This video is great btw for capturing just how insanely massive this crowd was, singing along to a *SONG THAT WASN'T PLAYING*
RIGHT?! The fact that these people have touched lives in massive of a scale… it actually brought me to tears. That’s amazing. They have literally United the geek world and brought us out in the masses…. This is POWERFUL because our people come from every walk of life and it’s kinda amazing.
@@phoenixrising7736 It's also the fact that the crowd added in the musical bits too!
I love how they prepared for the crowd to sing the song, the countdown, the sing-along lyrics, it's perfect omg
Imagine being able to fill an arena by having people watch you play D&D
I think I was so wrapped up in the moment, I just imagined the music, sang my heart out, and didn't notice any sound issues! Thank you for recording our moment in history ❤
Yeah, I was there, it was only later someone told me there was a sound issue, didn't notice in the moment
I thought they turned off the sound to just hear the audience. xD
Luckily they did the song again after the break!
@@jeroen92 Annoyingly I was still "making my way" back from the toilets at the time. Did people sing again?
@@candyak9985 yes, everyone sang again the second time, but I don't think it was as loud or as emotional as a few people were still coming back from the break
A friend sent this to me because they watched it and saw me. 😂
Honestly The best fan experience of my life!
This makes my nerd heart so happy. As an old guy who played D&D back in the 70s as a kid, I wish I could go back in time and show my young self just how amazing the RPG community would become :)
❤
Right here with you friend!
wow that guy at the very end REALLY didn't like having the camera on him.
That was the guy holding the camera. Sure as well filmed everyone but him.
Great job UK! That’s some damn fine singing.
We've been training since primary school lol all those group assembly's we were made to sing at
Annnnnd there's me, popping on the Sam mask 😂
Who organised the Sam masks?
There was a critter who organised it all in the audience before hand. They handed masks to members of staff who passed them out to everyone in the front rows of seats with a message on the back of what to do so people who hadn't been in the groups organising things still knew what was going on
REVENGE FOR THE SHIRTS! Seriously, the man wore a shirt of Laura Bailey at NYCC. :)
Ah man, the memories bring chills 🥰
What a night! So happy to have been there
Holy shit, to see so many people in the crowd and them all singing along is amazing. I know the arena is huge, but thought some sections were just closed down. Amazing to see everyone travel to see Critical Role, sadly I wasn't one of them.
This is how I want to be- how I want to be as both a DM and dating coach for gamers. This is the kind of passion I want to bring out of my players and clients! I love this! DND will always be one of the best things that exists!
What a moment. Almost wish they hadn't added the music post-production when they posted the show on youtube the following Monday. Glad to have been there!
this is the most beautiful thing ever. I'm tearing up. So wish I could've been there T_T
Oh being there was an experience I’ll never forgot ! And the foot stomping !
Such an emotional moment. So glad I was there the witness it
I can see where I was sitting! (Right at the back, but I can kind of make out the 3 pixels of my head XD ). Thanks so much for posting this.
You can hear the foot stamping! That makes me happy, it was such a shame it was kind of muted in the recordings, It really added to the atmosphere and the sheer numbers of people there.
Imo still the best intro (and song) they ever made.
trying to find myself in the crowd!
Wish I could have been there!
YUP this one captures what it was like. acapella.
Hey sorry but you should probably take this down and repost it with that person's (and the other people's) face blurred he looked very uncomfortable! 😭
I still can't believe just how many people were there to watch! I went to their last live show before this one in Chicago and it was less than 4,000 people!
Am I the only one who can legit hear harmony in this?
i was there, thanks for sharing this such a great night
Thank you very much for posting this. I hope someone would
So, its a cult. I love it
This makes my heart happy to be a part of this group of nerdy ass voice actors and critters
Holy moly, yeah did not know the audience that large! What a show!!!
So beautiful
definition of Fan Base and Wholesome
i like the C3 opening, for sure, but it will never beat thig banger
Loved their Campaign 2 content
Thanks for this, because on the official broadcast/recordings, it barely picked up the audience and was kind of disappointing. Clearly there was some noise canceling involved.
CHILLS
It’s so beautiful🥹
I was kind of shocked when i saw that many people singing. Even with the title of the video.
OKay so how can we get this certified as a world record so that we can have someone try and beat it
I was watching the livestream (while it was live not the rebroadcast) and could have sworn there was music. Was there really not any music that night?
There was supposed to be music in the arena but there were sound issues. The music still broadcast which is why you would have heard it on stream but we only heard ourselves... And the music in out heads and souls. It was CRAZY
Yep, the music was only in our minds. It took me about a week and several discord chats to realise that no, we weren't singing along to music, we were just singing along to each other!
Incrível, queria poder ter ido
did the camera person just film that guy out of the blue? That’s rude man
Awesome you got to experience that and loads of people will love seeing themselves in this video so i get why you uploaded but at least blur the faces of the people you can tell are wildly uncomfortable with being filmed
i was one of the 12000!
I'm in the video aaaaah
Really dont understand why they didnt play the music, made it kind of weird.
I expect it was a technical malfunction. Explains the laughter at the start.
Nobody in the audience noticed. We just sang along assuming that there was background music we just couldn't hear because, y'know, 12.5k people can be a bit loud.
Good God. The gamer funk in that room...
Cool video but can't you see the guy behind you was obviously very uncomfortable with you filming him? Why put it online?
-1 for not singing +1 for uploading
.....im getting cult vibes
Yikes!
