I really do benefit from this channel. It’s important to take stock of how much hard work goes into essentially free content. NP retains its respectability for me because of how diverse the games they report on are. Just has to drop a shout out. Thanks for this recommendation, team.
@@jlafores nothing makes me feel more cozy than a friday afternoon watching noisypixel reviews and thinking about what cool games im gonna buy for the weekend.
This looks pretty rad. I love the blend of different slightly older 3rd person action adventure game mechanics with the the tried and true modern soullike blueprint.
I've never played a souls like either, and this game has been on my radar for a while because of it's cartoony eustatic. I'm still not total convince yet since I still have so many games to play still like Astral Chain, Freedom Planet 2, Jet Lancer, and Smelter. And looking forward to games still like Little Kitty Big City that take a more relaxed experience. Great review and if I ever get a taste for it, I'll check it out
For relaxed experiences, be sure to keep an eye out for Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip. About a little goober named Terry who just wants to drive to space in a taxi. Stuff like Duck Detective and Loco Motive seem more relaxe too, for being kind of point-and-click adventures. Perhaps The Mermaid's Tongue/The Mermaid Mask and Lil' Guardsman may prove interesting too. And if you're ever looking for a game in the same genre as Astral Chain (coincedentally also involving extradimensional ghostly monsters, creatures called Chimeras and an importance on a bond with an ethereal being), have a look at Soulstice from 2022. In that same genre, but with a "rock band fighting alien invasion" angle, Soulstice finds a companion in the upcoming Genokids. Looks promising.
The game Clash: Artifacts of Chaos was sometimes described as a Soulslike, but that element is VERY light. It's mainly health flasks, set checkpoints at campfires, and the world looping back in on itself with many shortcuts. In terms of gameplay it's much more like a 3D fighter/brawler where you can find different stances and special attacks to customize your fighting style with. Like Another Crab's Treasure, it has a very colorful world, though with a style more like a Dark Crystal-ish world where the enemies look like they could have been made by Jim Henson studios. Well worth checking out if you've heard of that game, but the descriptor of "Soulslike" turned you off..
I can't be the only one smiling fondly while hearing a player commenting on the camera in their first souls-like experience...
A SHOALSLIKE
Having this game be the reviewer's first soulslike is a really neat perspective. Now ge can go play Elden Ring lol
It's between Crab booty and Stellar booty... Both look awesome. Thanks for the review!
we love all the booty!

Thank you!!!!
First Stellar Blade. Now this! Must be a great time to work at Noisy Pixel. Excellent reviews…
we were working on these videos from 7am to 1am yesterday. But the result of everyone enjoying the content makes it well worth it
@@NoisyPixelNews your reviews were the highlight of my day…I have so many games to look forward to because of them…kudos again 🔥

I'm getting this on Switch. Here's hoping it runs well.

So glad this game turned out well 😊
Can't wait to play this 🎉
Xbox gamepass is such consumer friendly 💚
Great review. I could go for a HYPER BOWL of poke right about now. 😂
lol! I read that last night at 1am. I could barely keep my eyes open, but even this flub was a stretch for me lol 😮💨 - Azario
Stellar Blade, Sand land now this. This is great
A NINE. Whoa. Reviewers don't just hand them out like candy, you know.
They are giving a 9 for every game now, pretty annoying, for me a 9 is RDR 2 or Bloodborne, not this.
I first heard of this one (in Early Access?) via Iron Pineapple’s videos, so it’s good to see that the full version turned out so well.
Same here, but with Clash: Artifacts of Chaos as well. Turned out an awesome game.

This game is really for my son and i will enjoy it to watch him play
Did they add Anor Londo?
Easy mode for the win with the gun!!!
very interesting to hear a souls noob take on this. Do you plan on playing more soulslike now that the idea has been forced more front of your brain?
wonky camera controls are par for the course in souls like, at least the early ones and it's hyper-bo-LEE
“Soul like” are words that usually push me away from games. lol This one might be my first soul like game.
yea, Yuna taking this on as her first soulslike i feel meets the audience the devs were aiming for with this game. I'm glad it worked out!

The word "Hyperbole" is not pronounced Hyper-Bowl. It's Hyper-Bo-Lee.
Pickle pancakes.
waiting for cheats
I hate massive punishment for dying
not fun at all
Git gud
This game has an easy mode where the Hermit Crab wields a gun to One-shot all the enemies
skill issue
Alot of souls likes just dont hit the same for me as a real souls game man, everyone trying to force parry mechs is just exhausting.
elden ring is basic done well.
