`perfect, thank you for being a responsible reviewer and letting me know what i need to know in the first couple of minutes of the video. I'm going to leave a like and also mute this video and let it play to the end in the background so the video gets just as much of a boost regarding the RUclips algorithms. Cheers!
I'm doing the same thing and letting it play for the algorithm but on mute. Thanks NP for giving the honest input and great review (what I heard at least)!
Reminder that all sprite games should have the option for scanlines and similar, especially games that seek to be retro for aesthetic reasons and also remasters. If not, use Reshade although it is a little more tedious to apply to games.
Took your kind advice and stopped watching. 😂 Will avoid other reviews and can’t wait to play it! I was disappointed it was on ps+ and not game pass-would be playing it right now! Maybe it’s just the visuals, but it reminds me of some mysterious pre-NES games.
I love MetroidVanias but not puzzle games so I'm hesitant on this one. This just came out on Xbox and I'm trying to decide this or A quiet place. I haven't seen a lot of reviews on the latter, horror games usually go one way or the other, either they're great or they're shit
I know some reviewers who have been playing for 20 hours and haven’t beaten it. Theres a few different “layers.” After a couple runs I could get through the first one in 4 hours, but others have done 2. I’m not going to spoil anymore for you.
Layer 1: 5-15 hours depending on how much you explore Layer 2: depending on how much did you explore in layer 1, it can be just a few hours to possibly 20+ hours Layer 3: Possibly dozens of hours, but some puzzles require very unconventional/unorthodox methods, some you will find with sheer luck, some require community effort Layer 4: ???

No offense... but stopped watching the review after 2 minutes because I didn't want you to accidentally spoil anything. I will finish watching it when I finish the game! 😆
I’m a handful of hours in and it’s a 10/10 for me. Probably my game of the year, but definitely one of them. Challenge is just right, puzzles are rewarding and fun to figure out. I can see myself playing this game again and again.
Idk nothing about the game stands out from what is said and show from the review. I can't really believe it's a 10/10 just because it has some creative puzzle solution or a world that changes with time/progression to make playthroughs feel fresher because you did them in different orders.
I was worried for a bit that maybe I was the only one that felt like this game was a 10/10, and then I saw the other reviews agreeing with me. Normally, I don't care about what other's score a game, but when it's a 10/10 in my mind, I usually get a bit anxious. Anyway, you can play it or not, it's still a great game - Azario
I agree. I am getting big undertale / omori vibes, a cult is already forming around this game when people can't even articulate what is so great about it.
Xbox and microsoft can't make a 10 out of 10 game like this lmao. Maybe they should acquire more awesome studios and add more brainless DEI developers to their teams

Great idea. Ditto.

I didn't think I would like this game, but it is magical. I love everything about it. The Indy scene has given me back my love for gaming.
Well well...nice to see Animal Well did so well.😁
Love your concise reviews!
Thanks!
I really hope this gets an easy to acquire physical release
@@ts7844 Why do you care why they want a physical copy?

I’ve an hour in and I really like it. Definitely worth looking into.
This gives me Rain World flashbacks.

Spoiler alert? I watched the whole video and have no clue what it’s about or what’s going on. All I know is I want it and grabbing on Switch now.
How long to beat? I need to know that at least.

If you find yourself thinking about a game when you aren't playing it, that means it's a good game.
Its a hard game....jet set willy is an all time classic and this gives me some jet set vibes.
Not a fan of Dunkey AT ALL, but it looks like the guy behind this game has done something spectacular and it has definitely piqued my interest.
I don’t know who dunkey is, but I’m hearing this opinion about him from others. Still, games good. - Azario
You mean the youtuber videogsmedunkey? What does he have to do with this weird gsme?
@@paledrake He's the head of BIGMODE and published this game.

Have seen several videos praising this game giving it a 10/10. And not one single explanation of what the game actually is. Reminds me of Fez.
Just buy it

Just because you’re not into the genre doesn’t mean it can’t be a 10.
@@christopherlyndsay8611 I mean just because it deviates from other genres doesn't immediately make it a 10/10.
