    I really like Odric, Lunarch Marshal. All the Legendaries have so many varied keywords and we can share them. While yes, having two copies of him doesnt change that, he does help with the go wide approach this commander brings.

    I think something that might be nice to have during the "sidegrades" or "upgrade" sections might be noting cards you would personally swap out for the upgrades. Sort of like "if I didn't have a budget, or this card is just a better version of X card" would make doing updates easier. For example would you swap New Athreos in the list for Old Athreos? Would you swap Moira, Urborg Haunt for something like Mikaeus the Unhallowed? I think that would be a nice little addition to help people see lines of play, or cards to swap if they don't like X thing.
    Overall the deck is really cool and interesting. Since we have some synergies with +1 counters, Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful would be a great addition. Adding in another 1 drop that gets bigger as more legends ETB is a nice effect, and even if it gets too big, once it dies we get a non-legendary copy to now do it again. Another great add from Brothers War is Loran of the Third Path. A "reclamation sage" in white that, in a pinch, we can instant speed sac it to get rid of another thing. The other amazing thing is that it gets to add card draw and once we get a reanimation cycle going, we can keep things off the board easily
    I recently made Elas, using some inspiration from your video to help me, but honestly might swap to this decklist depending on if I can get my version of Elas to work. Thanks for the great videos and hope to see more cool and interesting interactions from your channel!

    Cauldron of Souls fits really well with the counters theme, as the -1 and +1 counters cancel each other out. Allowing you to repeat this every turn.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Год назад

      Good suggestion! We certainly have enough +1/+1 counter sources of offset the -1/-1 counter persist would give, so I can see this easily being added in as another easy to use source of repeatable reanimation.

    Don't sleep on the sorcery Rite of Consumption either. It is a fantastic, budget, sacrifice spell that also damages an opponent. I think it is especially good here because of all the +1/+1 counters being added to our creatures.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Год назад +1

      Not a bad suggestion - considering some of our creatures can get pretty beefy and this black version of fling with upside can help us bring their life totals down to size or outright eliminate them once they get low enough.

    I was looking at Ratadrabik but I wasn't sure how to build it on a budget! Thanks for the video. The deck looks really nice and cohesive and I'm really thinking about building it soon. I'm just always pretty indecisive when it comes to my next Commander. I already own a Sythis Enchantress and a Jinnie Fay Go Wide deck and I want to explore other colors now. Black is really interesting to me! Blue is still kind of an enigma for me and I don't know how good blue is without all the expensive stuff like cyclonic rift and free counterspells! If anybody has somel recommendations for cool commanders, feel free to tell me because I'm always on the lookout for a new and cool Commander.

    • @Koios90
      @Koios90 Год назад +1

      Blue can be very fun, even without all the expensive spells! I'd recommend Orvar, the All-Form. He is on the pricier side himself, but a lot of the spells that he works best with are 1 mana cantrips that are mostly useless in other decks and therefore dirt cheap. There have been so many times I've had Precursor Golem go ham with Slip Through Space in that deck. Master of Waves also becomes a problem quite quickly with all the tokens that gets pumped.
      There's also Minn, Wily Illusionist that gets played at my LGS sometimes. Drawing cards to make Illusions that then gets sacrificed to cheat out the things you drew, value all around!

    Holy shit, it's Rata of Drabik fame! Crappy references to Rank10YGO (a.k.a Rata) aside, amazing cut-rate vid as always! Truly legendary... maybe the video can trigger Ratadrabik?
    As for the vote... well, Ashnod takes the win. As much as I like Tawnos, an Artifact Deathharmonicon with a Catch is much more appealing and potentially entertaining than Clue/Food/Treasure/Blood tribal.
    Day 452 of waiting for the Grazzet face reveal. By the way, I just realised the order of the decks that are soon to be upgraded is also similar to the spotlight sharing order in the original book... mmm, the flavour is delicious. Ever read any MTG books?

    warlock and cleric class would work well for this deck since it cares about two major things: summoning creatures, sacking them, and bringing them back as zombies, the classes will be on overdrive if you keep doing your combos! hell, u don't even need to level them up to get great value out of them, just them being level 1 alone can do the job, cleric class to gain much more life, and warlock class to deal damage to ur opponents if a creature died on your end step.
    never sleep on these classes because they are low key broken and low key cheap af :D

    Would Purgatory or Strands of Night work for this build?

    • @Koios90
      @Koios90 Год назад +1

      I'd say so, yes. Purgatory is a bit of a removal magnet if you got a few creatures under it, though, but with the upside that it negates graveyard hate. Nice find, hadn't seen that one before I think.

    • @GrazzetMTG
      @GrazzetMTG  Год назад

      Purgatory is an interesting option - on the one hand it conflicts with all our other reanimation and is vulnerable to removal (which will have us lose the cards it exiles forever), but it does allow for repeatable reanimation. I would personally say that the cons outweigh the pros but thats just my opinion without having had tested it.
      Strands of Night is a much more reliable source of repeatable source of reanimation that really works well in the late game where we have more lands than we know what to do with - so I would considering running it over Purgatory or in general as some additional reanimation.
