Did we just become best friends? I think so! Art supplies are my love language. My second love language is pouches. Show me how you store those art supplies and you’re basically proposing marriage.
Good morning Alice, I loved watching your videos, always the best value for time spent here on RUclips! You are a delight and we appreciate you sharing your art journey with us. Have a grand day and we are all looking forward to your next video!
That pencil sharpener is the best one I've ever had. I've had a problem with other sharpeners that always break the lead in soft colored pencils. That one doesn't do it as often.
Water-resistant IS NOT the same as waterproof! It means that the ink is still visible after water gets on it but it will smear. waterproof means it doesn't smear at all. Just letting everyone know in case they get confused about that.
Thank you for an enjoyable art haul, Alice. I love watching them!! After buying dozens of sharpeners for my pencils, including Prismacolor pencils, I found they all chewed up any of my pencils, including the watercolour ones. I came across a double sharpener by KUM, started to rotate the sharpener around the pencils and have never had chewed or fractured pencils again!!
I remember purchasing the gold ink, thinking it was waterproof, finishing a HUGE piece, applying mod podge and all the gold melted away and completely ruined the painting. BE AWARE
Apparently they are random and do not advertise. I emailed them and that's what they said. They said sometimes it's around school starting and Christmas.
Meiningers was the first art store I visited when I moved to Denver this past summer. LOVE that place!! I'll have to check my Michaels for the waterproof Pentel Hybrid Technica. The ones I've had the past 2 yrs have all been NON waterproof, sadness. I love the feel and flow of those pens but can never use them with watercolor because they bleed or disappear with any wetness. Thank you for sharing your haul!
As an oil painter and Watercolorist I love my brushes and whenever I hear acrylics I panic. I admit tht i started my painting career with acrylics, but now i seldom use them, except for the first washes of my paintings. They always seem to mess up my brushes, I always do keep them wet, clean them with water and soap, but they are always messed up after a short while. BTW, I love your videos !
I use always this penicilsharpener where you Stick it in an turn this crank. It works so well with my prismacolor pencils, which are know to break easily.
I use the hybrid technica art pens ALL the time for my art; great for texture on animal portraits but they are NOT waterproof. They are lightfast but NOT waterproof! Love your videos and know how much you use watercolor and I don’t want you to use that pen on an art piece and accidentally ruin it since the pen isn’t waterproof. ☺️ I do recommend getting more sizes and trying an animal portrait! The texture the pen leaves adds a lot of character to the piece ☺️🖊
Another awesome video!💜 This was really useful because I am thinking of using acrylics more and I needed to know some good brands!!! Also... I love your hair ❤️💕🙂
Ahhh thankyou! I'm glad it was useful! I have to say, I am truly adoring the slow-drying ones as they really feel more like oils to me, which I'm comfortable with, and living in Colorado, slow drying is SUPER helpful because we have about 0% humidity half the time haha. I also really like the Grumbacher ones for non-slow drying, and Golden has non-slow drying as well. I'll definitely be putting up more acrylic stuff here soon!!
OMG please make a video testing those wn drawing inks! That's such a good deal and I might need to try them! Especially if they're water resistant with watercolors!
So jealous of those sales the prices compared to what I can get in Australia makes me a little sad. Oh well I think I need to examine more of the available local art stores.
Can we get a video for your new acrylics? I got the one that Paletteful Packs sent out and I'd just like you to swatch and give us some tips on how to properly use them.
I will definitely use them on my channel soon, but in the mean time, I created a demo video for Paletteful Packs that you can watch here: ruclips.net/video/1ilvTDJQJic/видео.html I go over how I used them and create an image! I'll definitely do more work with them on my channel in the future though.
Test that hybrid pen before you put water on top! If it only says water resistant (versus waterproof), it might bleed when you add water. I learned this the hard way. 😖😖😖
Jerrys Artorama in Fort Collins! It's SO great and only a short drive from Loveland! 10/10 would recommend. :) There's also a Meinengers in Denver, off of Broadway, if you're driving through, and it's HUGE.
I can recommend Jacksons Art Supply, www.jacksonsart.com/en-us/. It’s a British art store, but because US customers don’t pay VAT then prices work out quite a lot cheaper than buying the same stuff from the US, even with shipping costs. Shipping from the UK takes around 2-3 weeks. There is also a Jerry’s Artarama in Fort Collins, and Amazon is always a good choice too.
Meininger Art Supply is honestly the best place for quality art supplies in this city, I love going there especially for their wide range in painting supplies.
@HulloAlice I went to Mienigers today and they offer some discounts and have their own brand of a few things so they are no longer the expensive store just the slightly expensive store now =)
That sharpener is good but you didn't get it at a good price. Thats how much we pay in Canada at expensive stores. I love your videos but can you look at the camera and not off to the side. I want that 8 pack of canvases so bad now.
Ahh well, I supported a local art store so that's okay! And yeah, I am working on it. When I look at the side it's because I am making sure I am in frame. It is a bad habit haha. The canvases are such a good deal!
I'm a simple woman, I see a video about an art supplies haul, I click.
LOL
Yes gurl
I do them and unboxings on my channel pretty often if you want more :)
Did we just become best friends? I think so!

Ahhh that's so encouraging to hear!! That's the issue I have as well! It's so frustrating!
Randomized _Geek that’s odd. Mine broke after my first use!! I was so upset. It also breaks my lead.
I love how excited you got about your pizza😂
PIZZA IS LIFEEE
I really like art supplies hauls. Please, keep in shopping. Thank you.
Love your haul and your hair

Love these videos. You're such a talented artist and I love watching you get new art supplies💖💖
Aww thank you so much!
You picked out some really cool things! I'd love to see a follow-up video with you trying some of the supplies out!
For a sharpener, I love the Faber Castell one! It's sort of a triangular shape and it splits open in half? Really good!
I love the hybrid technica pen! It writes so beautifully and clean

Great haul. Enjoy!
Lol pizza is life. I love your art hauls. Have you ever found the Michaels mystery boxes? I really hope I find them one day.
No but that sounds amazing?!
Apparently they are random and do not advertise. I emailed them and that's what they said. They said sometimes it's around school starting and Christmas.

Awesome haul! The winsor and newton gold ink is amazing. The black is very good too. I would love to try out that white and silver!

I've literally been looking for this video all day
Love this video I am addicted to hauls. Lol
Putting acrylic paint in the refrigerator last does that actually work? If so I'm going to start doing that and thanks for the tip
I use always this penicilsharpener where you Stick it in an turn this crank. It works so well with my prismacolor pencils, which are know to break easily.
Nice haul! I look forward to seeing what you make with everything.
"re-fell" in love ... 👍🏽
I use the winsor and newton metallic inks all the time at college for jewellery design they're great!
I too, have an excited pizza dance!
I use the hybrid technica art pens ALL the time for my art; great for texture on animal portraits but they are NOT waterproof. They are lightfast but NOT waterproof! I've painted on the blank canvas. One I did neon and the other I did a reverse silhouette.
I have both of those eraser sticks and yes the replacements fit.
Whoo hoo!

Art supplies are better anyway.
