I found out that Kona EV and few others have the option to set battery SOC limit when charging. As well as reduce charging speed below 7kw to whatever you prefer, all the way down to a minimum of 0.8kw . Useful to slow charge when it's clear that your schedule is fixed for overnight charging. And it's all inbuilt within the car . No app or subscription needed for it. Even pre cooling is inbuilt and not app dependent Why can't tata just make these features standard? Why should we pay everytime for features that already exist within the car ?
Yes I agree its too expensive, even I have not renewed it. My app got expired in last week. If you compare with other companies they are offering apps for life time without any renewal cost. After buying a vehicle of more than 15 Lacs Tata should provide it free for life time.

Battery life doesnt get impacted with charging to 100%, infact for all the batteries which TML uses, they are based on LFP tech and LFP tech recommends to charge vehicle to 100% everytime to keep the cells in balanced state. 2. The max charging cut feature comes for Tata Nexon EV Max
Hi guys we should always full charge the car once if comes below 30% or once in 4 days because all cell has to get balanced else u will be always applying pressure on same cells and also tata suggest to full charge every time ...don't compare this battery with cell phone ...and also if ur battery is 70% and u want to go somewhere that time charger it to 98 or set limit in app to 97% once u empty it charge it to full

I own the new nexon ev empowered plus LR and an Ola S1 pro Ola’s app is free with all the features Zconnect offers and is constantly improving. Considering the price of the two I have to applaud Ola for not bringing the subscription model yet.

I have the Nexon Petrol Ira variant and the showroom never mentioned it was chargeable after a year. The pricing is same as zconnect but there was hardly any new features added over my one year of use. I would have definitely paid if it added new features since there are other OBD trackers that offer better features. I installed GoMechanic OBD which is half the price and gives alerts whenever the car starts, stops, gives better mileage tracking and much more. No wonder TATA discontinued the iRA variant all together across all its models.

I don’t know why there is wide spread misinformation that a battery should not be charged to 100 percent. Nowadays the industry standard is to measure LFP or other Li ion cells State of Health (SOH) in terms of energy throughput kWh cycles and not in terms of having avoided a cycle if you charge from 20 to 80 percent!
We get alert notifications if someone try to enter the car widout unlocking. We cn also track its location in this case. Personally experianced it once. But the renewal is really not priced correctly..
i dont understand why car company do this monopoly its simple internet connectivity user should able to use external sim card for the same in infosystem which user can reacharge whenever he needs not full year reacharge also sim provides 1.5 gb data daily which can be used for songs and etc
I have another car of different make which gives the connected app free for 2 years, beyond which the recharge is 2000 per year. So Tata should reduce the recharge price.
I was not informed at the time of purchase that it requires annual subscription, if I knew i probably would have gone for 1 version lower :(. Secondly I bought it in feb, my zconnect was not working till aug, now I have to renew in march :(. And third it is very expensive considering majorly we use only to know current battery level.
Very buggy app... rarely used except to check charging percentage sometimes I too wasnt ever able to precool my car... and rarely when i use to try also... the command use to fail or it excutes the command so late that by that time i reached my car and manually turned on the ac

I have a same issues, The app is more expensive as per the features. Even in long drive also not much useful bcaz of poor network in small villages. My app expired in November and i am okay without using the Z app.
Although prices r expensive, but in my case, i live on 2 floor and it is not feasible for me to go again nd again to check the car percentage, so for me i have to get it renew no matter what prices they r charging .... Majboori...😅😅
I live on 10th floor and honestly I've never needed to go and check the percentage. It charges and stops when it's done. Simple You can instead use a smart plugs to control charger for tata cars rather than spending on yearly subscription
I live in an apartment. I cannot go down every time to check the charge. And especially since I am not the only one using the car, its difficult to keep track. If there is an obd tracker with esim, and something with more features, it will be great.
Why you need to check again and again, generally it charges 10% in 1 hour using 3.3kw charger, by that calculation you can know roughly how much it will charge by what time!!!

You shouldn't charge to 70-80%. If you are charging with ac charger make sure to charge to 100% everytime for the LFP batteries.
