Ralph is definitely the star of the show, excellent on screen presence.
great work guys, and super proud of Corey for the great low ball haggling! that's how you do it!!
There's literally a sit down Star Wars right there and there fighting over Gorf!!! 😂🤣
It wasn’t for sale unfortunately.
Hey Ralph next episode just go by yourself and then you can buy what you want lmao. No competition!
Loved it! Def should revive an arcade somewhere.
Ralf, you don’t need that goof ball Cory. Ralf you are the star of the show.
I agree 110%. With friends like that you don’t need enemies.
Second this!
You guys keep going and you'll need to open an arcade! (Please keep going) haha
GORF was the first cabinet I bought and started the journey down the home arcade rabbit hole! Great episode once again!
My new favorite show. If only I could travel to the future and binge watch more episodes🤙💪
🤣👍🍺🍺 love the banter and the brief history on the cabs, keep up the awesome finds and show!
Man i haven't been double Gorf'd since college. Amazing episode again guys!
OMG, LMAO!!! Thanks for watching bud!
Good episode. Like how you guys are having fun with it. Well played!
I love watching this on History channel, hopefully you guys get picked up for another season!
I have been waiting for this episode forever!
I don't even know how many times I have watched the first two episodes, or had them playing on the background at work and at home.
Arcade Pickers Epi.2
'Hey You Love Street Fighter! 😁' -- Ralph
'If I Could Drop That From A Helicopter, I Would 😑.' -- Cory
LMFAO!!!!
Thanks so much for the support bud, it's much appreciated!!! Lot's of funny moments in this next episode that I think you will enjoy!
I think this is my new favorite channel guys... i scheduled this show for today cause it's my day off tomorrow (F yeah!) I have everything ready... Cup of coffee, 2 slices of butter toast, and a bowl of weed on my pipe. Life is good rn
I’m glad you enjoy it man. There’s a good 2.5 years worth of content on the channel so hopefully it’s enough to keep you busy for a little bit 👍🏻 thanks so much for watching!
Now this is one sweet collection. 80’s is where it’s at guys!!!
The square blue thing with the yellow and red dot in the middle that they didn't know what it was in the marquee pile was a screen overlay for the game Star Castle.
Awesome show guys! With each episode it gets better and better! Mesa rules! I've been living here since 2002! Then before that from '88 in Apache Junction! Great scores guys! Keep the great content coming!
You guys killed it. I enjoyed this so much that I am at a loss for words.
So happy that you enjoyed it!!
Thanks buddy, Thanks so much for watching! 🔥🤘🏻💪🏻
Hahahaha that ralph vs Cory chemistry is building amd is funnier then ever. PRODUCTION VALUE off the charts! Bravo you guys did great this episode was even better then the last. What an impressive collection. Show is great thank you guys for the hard work and entertainment
King Konk, my boy!! Thanks so much for watching my dude, glad you enjoyed it! You rock brother 🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥
Best episode yet. Very entertaining!
New episode is freaking awesome only I was thinking Episode 3 would be where we left with episode 2.
19:58 Whahahaha .. ow Ralphy you are so funny 🤣
Thanks for watching my wicked friend! 🤘🏻
Just seeing Sinistar fills me with my age 12 fears, all over again. But you guys make me laugh, great episode!
So stoked! Friday is my birthday, so this and the new MK movie will be a nice treat.
I can’t wait for you to see it bud, I think we pulled out all the stops on this episode. I really hope you enjoy it and happy early birthday! Mine is coming up on April 26th.
@@RetroRalph hey birthday buddy! Your birthday is the same as my daughter, Maddie’s. She’ll be a whopping 1 year old.
Thanks for keeping with it guys, this was awesome.
Sooooo....Who's starting the change.org petition to get Cory removed from the show and where do I sign? The level of disrespect he shows not only to Ralph but to the games, their history and properly preserving/restoring them is ridiculous. This would be so much better with just Ralph.
He seems like the type of guy that would ruin a classic car and put some BS gimmick stuff on it while gutting the history of it.
Exactly he has no more knowledge about arcade games than a general person and his lack of respect for the games is appalling. Cory acts like these games are still being made. He should just buy 1up games and leave real arcade games alone.
Cory is fine, its like Kirk and Spock, ur allowed to have ur opinion but lets keep it fun. Cory and Ralph both work hard on this series, lets appreciate their hard work and enjoy free entertainment 🍺🍺
@@plowking813 that comment doesn't even remotely make sense. Kirk and Spock bantered a bit, Cory continues to shit all over Ralph...big difference.
@@plowking813 and kirk and spock were both working to achieve a common goal. It would be like spock constantly tring to turn the enterprise into a new vulcan ship cause he didnt care about that being the only one, just hypnotized by all the flashing lights of the new vulcan ships.
My complaint is with its supposed to be a arcade show and cory is obviously not knowledgable about the items he has a show about. Ralph atleast seems to try to know what hes talking about. But even when the sellers are tring to give them guys knowledge cory seems to not care. I still think back to first episode when the guy unloaded abunch of garbage marquees and bezels on them. When a marquee is cut down as badly as that mortal kombat was and how cracked the golden tees were and how age and nicotine stained the others were them are basically worthless and are not even worth a few bucks. He was selling them at $20+ each hiliarious. They talked on episode about seller being high priced. No he just seen suckers comming and got as much as he could.
Sometimes us arcade collectors can be rude to new hobbists cause theres only so much out there and when you see someone like cory buying classic games just to destroy them it offends collectors like me who are tring to do as much as they can to preserve the hobby.
Hilarious guys, the look on Derek's face in the scenes when you guys are being craze is priceless lol. Also this episode should have been called "Cut Throat Pickers" LoL
Just keeps getting better every episode........
Another awesome episode! the editing is top notch. Fun show and Ralph gotta work on the haggling!
Great ep loved the dress up so funny! I liked that Kongo bongo cab that was segas version of donkey Kong plus learned something new here about the first ever arcade interesting! Also I’m learning a bunch about arcades from your show was more into consoles as a kid but getting into them more now thanks to you guys and the arcade community Look forward to the next ep
Ralph cares about the Arcades.
Corey cares about the marquees.
The end: Ralph wins.
Awesome episode guys! The production value is fantastic
LETS GO!!! I CANT WAIT!
You are guys Great! Seriously! I really enjoy these episodes... something Fresh.
Thanks bud, really glad you enjoyed it. We appreciate you watching! 🙏🏼
Amazing show guys! You know where to go Next! I hope ;)
hey least ralph got the gorf in the end too! these are always fun to watch, all these collectors with just rows of classic games, pcbs, marquees such a nostalgia trip! looking forward to more.
Another awesome episode. 👍🏽 Great job guys!
because Ralph,i fixed my arcade that sat for about 2 years.love these videos
Thanks bud, glad you fixed it, that's awesome!
Another great episode Ralph!
That COMPUTER SPACE just made me miss JOHNS ARCADE even more now. 🤦🏾♂️
John's Arcade made a brief comeback last year.
@@MichaelBtheGameGenie maybe an episode and a half. I knew once he opened that restaurant with ol boy that he was gonna slow down
I'm sorry Ralph,. I hate to be the one giving thumbs down on this pick video but your buddy Cory has no appreciation for older games and all he wants is to gut the cabs to Mame or whatever he does. As a former collector, I can't stand to watch this and won't be watching anymore of the series. It's too bad.
You’re right, he doesn’t ... hence why the show will likely not see a episode 4. It’s not my intention to destroy history. It’s my intention to find stuff and restore it back to its former self (or as close to it as possible) so it can continue on for others to enjoy. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
@@RetroRalph if you ever need anything on this side of the border, you let me know my friend. I'm still very involved in the arcade hobby and have several connections. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate it.
If that clip of the cab being restored on RR Live is any indication of things to come, I'm SUPER pumped for this episode!!!
Very cool just to see all these classics, but that Computer Space was a cool addition. Wish it were working and we could've seen it running, but cool just to see.
I enjoyed the show, and I read all the comments, I do understand what some are saying. In my opinion, you guys are doing great, it is hard to do a show like this, I don't think a lot of people realize that. It takes a lot of practice, expertise and gear to pull off an impressive show. I think its great, it can and most likely will improve with time. One comment - There is always a ton of Arcade Cabinets at these locations, and I only see glimpses of some, and I end up pausing it a lot to see other titles. I wish you could do a slow pan of all the cabs at each location, to really show the collection, and then people can scan for their favorites. Having said that, I understand you may have seen or filmed some cabs, that you want to keep to show later, and even the collector may not want ALL his cabs to be seen on video. I just want to see more! - I really love the history moments, that is a REALLY nice addition!
Looking forward to Episode 3! :)
Friday can’t come soon enough ! 🔥🔥🔥
Ralph didnt know you was doing this??? !!! Decent show!!
Playing GORF in the 80's resulted in the only trophy I ever earned in my life. 31,270 points and turned over Space Ace 3 times. The local arcade, Tookeys, in Broadview Heights, OH ran competitions every week. I would love to have an actual GORF cabinet in my house. :(
Wow man, that's awesome, what a cool achievement! Thanks for watching the show, much appreciated!
Would love for more episodes!
This is like watching a combination of American Pickers and Pimp My Ride. LOL!
Ok when he showed up for the Avengers negotiation.... 😂😂😂
When looking at the marquees the first one you guys grabbed the was blue with a yellow and orange center was an overlay that vendors could put over the crt screen to give the vector graphics game color. That particular game was called Star Castle, and was pretty fun...
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Castle
I thought that was the color add on for asteroids. Them two look similar and i just seen it once quickly, i didnt rewind so i might be wrong.
The cocktail GORF is super sweet.
The camera operator is horrible, zoomed in and not showing the games or anything they are talking about.
All the unnecessary zoom reminds me of Wayne's World. Just taking away his zoom lens would be a huge improvement. Then you could invest in a gimbal.
Agreed. They don't spend enough time showing the games. I know it's a short show, but...
When’s the next show
Just amazing and I know this is repetitive but this should be a legit show on the tube. You guys definitely need to pitch this to someone for a TV series
I am especially excited for the 80s music scene.
The Captain America skit was so funny 🤣🤣🤣
Damn dude lots of amazing games there!!
That's cool, I live in Mesa, Arizona. That dude has an arcade in his living room, that's crazy, but awesome.
U guys R T.V. Worthy...!!!!👯♂️👍👍
This is my favorite show on RUclips.
Would actually be pretty awesome if Justin lived in AZ and was able to be a part of this show too
Agreed 👍🏻
Getting worse with the scripted events. I guess that's just the thing with TV shows these days though.
Hyping it up! Let's see what Ep 3 brings!
That road runner game is on the NES via Tengen.
Please tell me you guys know what Star Castle is. Also, please keep Cory’s “acting” duties to a minimum. Thank you.
Were you screaming at your screen too when he said whatever that's for?? lol
@@cursedxistence YES
Yes, I know the game “Star Castle” ...however, a lot of the classic games he wanted 1K or above so we didn’t focus on those as much. His were all in really great shape so I don’t blame him for wanting top dollar. Anyhow, thanks for watching!
@@RetroRalph I had no doubt you knew the game.
@@cursedxistence After them not knowing about Road Runner, Congo Bongo, and Domino Man, I had my doubts.
Enjoyed the episode 👌
Liked the video. But hate how "dumb" you guys are getting as each episode progresses. Generally, if you are a "picker", you carry a great deal of knowledge around and get a deal when you know you can flip the inherent value of an item into profit. But, when the seller clearly knows WAY more about each item than you do, the standard Picker formula no longer works.
6:55 for the exact time arcade pickers was over lol
That's actually really funny. Thanks for watching!
Dude, inquiring minds would still have wanted to know what he’d ask for that BttF pinball😂
$5,000+ Trust me, I would love to have it, it's a super fun machine.
Anytime you find a gorf cabinet that's A+, I just found a raspberry pie image with a perfect emulation of the game, but that don't even top getting a tabletop for it.
So the Corey guy paid $50 to destroy a Gorf cabinet? I get these things are more common in the US than in the UK but that seems to go a lot against what the hobby is all about. If you are just gonna convert it then why ruin a piece of arcade histroy.
Brilliant!
I’m struggling with the arcade gurus having no idea what a Star Castle overlay is.
That was a top GORF episode
The Piece of History segments are quite well done and overall I quite enjoy this series. Its a bit too 'reality tvish' to me, but I get what they are doing and I wish them luck. It would be cool if it actually got picked up by a network. G4 is back (sortof) who knows maybe they would be interested.
I love these guys
I like this series a lot..u bastards..so i guess you earned a new sub! (You're welcome!)
Thanks bud, I appreciate the support! We need to talk offline... I would love to have you on this show. You seem to have quite the collection.
Good episode but you need a camera stabilizer, everything was really shaky including the zooms. Surely Corey should of " Caught you Flipping " not slipping.
I'd love to have that atari super sprint cab and that ikai warrior 🤘🏽💯
I think the show is a good attempt. But the hosts need to be changed out to people that are more informed and ones who care more about the games than making a fast buck selling them. Which they dont even know value of the stuff they are buying. If ralph would learn a bit he would be able to cut it. He has a good personality for tv and deep down seems to care about the history. I just cannot tolerate 2 bad hosts of tv show. Cory has no business being anywhere around actual arcade games. Leave him to the 1up games.
Out of curiosity have you guys come across a Budwieser version of Tapper? That's one I played back in the day, and never knew the original was just called Root Beer Tapper. The Budwieser version had mini games that involved Bud Man.
The original was Tapper.
Yep the original was Tapper sponsored by Budweiser, and then the Root Beer Tapper came out the following year.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tapper_(video_game)
Excellent stuff... so Derek has grandchildren but is he still married? I can't imagine trying to navigate through all of those cabinets!
Never heard of Road Runner or Domino Man so I had to fire them up on my RG352V running MAME to see what the fuss is all about.
Great show but I think best was your second one. It had more stuff to see. This was good. But when it only 22 min I would like see more of the stuff people have. I think that's the fun part. This guy had a lot more and only saw a small chunk. Still like your work you guys do.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback.
I agree, I preferred ep 2 as well but I can't quite pinpoint it. Maybe the guest was friendlier, maybe Ralph seemed more down on this one... not sure.
From a video editing perspective, I think you need to keep it a bit streamlined. When you asked for a tour, it would be nice to see a full tour. But other than that, nice video.
Just finished the 1UpWeekly...now here...only a few hours behind
Awesome !
I believe Road Runner was on Commodore 64. I remember playing it as a kid with my dad.
“Console Guys See Arcade Games” Pickers n stuff. Lol
No love to the super off-road cab?!?!?!?
Unless he showed during the MCU ENDGAME...
As CAPTAIN AMERICA..
FALLS FLAT.. IN 2021.
I've played road runner on mame.
Another good episode, but Cory needs to go. So robotic like he's reading from cue cards, very monotone, the jokes fall flat and the disrespect of the games. Trying not to sound harsh but he just isn't good with very little improvement over the 3 episodes, maybe he could be a silent investor
Agreed. They just don't work well together. He's not Ralph's style which is more real an genuine. I also agree with the lack of respect to the games, makes me cringe. I like the concept of the series too, but agree Cory needs to go. I don't think I can watch anymore.
Blue screen goes over star castle screen. It makes it color
Retro Ralph, with some of these machines being so rare that it is hard to get parts, what is your thoughts on using FPGAs as replacements? As in the Mister FPGA project.
I’m actually super excited about the JROK FPGa boards. These older Williams board will die eventually and the JROKs plug right into the existing wire harness on the Williams machines. www.jrok.com
About them piece of history sections, why did you do one on captain america? When you had Joust 2 right there. Joust 2 was released with super low numbers. Very hard to find an orginal which that one looks to be.
We had to cut some footage but we do have some footage on Joust 2 that will be seen in the future. Super fun game and very rare from the research I did so far. Thanks for watching!
yes road runner is on mame..
Captain America with a moustache? And why is he holding a barrel drum cover? Is this from some Italian movie?
Wait... did he have him gut that Gorf cabinet just so he can put an LCD and prob a 60 in 1 or mame pc in there...? If so then that's total bs.
Yup, hence why I was so pissed in the episode. I don’t agree with it at all and it’s not the premise of the show IMO. We’re supposed to be buying them to fix them up and restore them for others to enjoy. Not turn them into multicades or bastardized versions of their former self.
@@RetroRalph duuuude, that’s rough, but I respect you saying that because I’d feel the same way. Tell him that’s what poker cabinets are for lol that’s what I did. The rest of my cabs were restored (if needed)
@@billyscarbroughpoker cabs exactly or if you have to use an arcade use a ms pacman that is in bad shape, there was over 100,000 of them made. Dont use something rare or rarer. I really wish more people realized that arcade games are not like a pool table or air hockey (one is the same as the next) and that they are individual pieces of history with stories to tell. And should be preserved as best as possible. Cause once they are gone they are gone.
