Glad to see another woman with really long hair. I have copper red hair the length of yours. My youngest has a dark auburn hair that is as long and my eldest has a Champagne Red hair that goes down to mid-thigh unless she trims and then it is as long as ours LOL! Get all the questions that you did quite often. As well as the ones on what is the most annoying part of having such long hair.
As an awesome gentleman with (not great) long hair (who has never watched this kind of video before) I think you did a wonderful job and really appreciate the great advice and will definitely be putting some of that into practice!

I'd like to grow my hair to be as long as yours (btw, you're soooo beautiful!). My hair has been damaged for years after a few colouring shampoos in my teen years, lol. Thankfully, using henna and oils (I discovered that using coconut oil to soak my hair 1h before showering makes it all shiny and pretty and soft, if anyone is interested) and trimming it myself (because hairdressers always disappoint me), I find that my hair is a lot healthier and more pretty.
I love using henna to give my hair a red hue, even though you don't really see a dramatic change because my hair is soooo dark.
As for shampoo, I would recommend Urtekram for my European fellows. I've tried the ghassoul and the aloe vera shampoos and they do wonders for your hair.

Niloo zeb I wash it twice a week. I don't wash my hair every time I shower since it will dry out my hair. I love using those old lady things that covers your hair when you shower. The shower caps. Haha And yes, genetics also helps when it comes to hair, but I know tons of white women with blonde hair who have very healthy and thick hair. Taking care of it is key regardless of your ethnicity. Although Middle Eastern women have one of the best hair because of genetics. Thanks dad! Haha

Thanks for the video, I've been waiting for this one! My hair is like yours Fo: Wavy thick middle-eastern, so what you use will probably work for me. They are quite damaged tough, I think I have to trim much before doing anything else.

Awesome video! I myself need a trim really badly but I am terrified to get my hair cut. Been using SheaMoisture and it has helped maintain my hair though, not sure if it is cruelty free or not which I will check on but it is really effective. Keep up the awesome work! You're a badass!

But don't scared to get a trim done. Just make sure they understand how much you want cut off. 1-2 inch is a good place. I myself have to go back in September for my 6-month trim. I notice that about 1 inch of my hair seems a bit dry. So I better trim it off before they become split ends and go further up.
What can I say? I have no fucking life hahaha. But it was a great video! And yea I suppose a 2 inch trim would be a good start...still terrified of it because I dont know anyone around here who can cut super long curly hair. Looks like I shall get a trim in september too once I find someone with great reviews!
I have a very annoying problem of hairloss due to stress, so, I take pills every now and then, and I can tell they really work. They make your hair grow faster, but you need to keep taking care of it so it grows healthy. Otherwhise you will have to trimm it anyway.
+Ana Luiza da Silva Garcia There are also many good herbal remedies that will aid in preventing more hair loss. If you lack certain important elements in your diet, that can also result in hair loss and weak nails/bones. Talk to your doctor as well, you might simply not be eating the right stuff. I have been there. :)
Oh, my problem is really due to stress, but gets worse when I have a poor diet, so I take care of that too.
Nice vid! Very interesting things about long hair! I feel totally identified with what you said. The less the products and chemical treatments used, the less harshened hair.
Great advice: Shampoo on the head, conditioner or moisturizer on the ends!! Most people don't know it.
And, as a funny anecdote from a long hair lover... It gets tough to shower and wash hair when it's getting SO heavy that your neck hurts!! hahaha

You are so sweet and I appreciate this video :) I agree with you about not bleaching, etc. your hair. My hair would be down to my knees now if I hadn't ruined it with bleach and color due to impatience over the years :(. I actually broke off over a foot at the bottom in one setting and the sides broke off two feet when I bleached it twice. Now I am growing it back, and it has taken about 9 months to get a foot of it back. I am just growing the natural color and if I get tired of the color, I plan to wear wigs. It is also a good way to decide if you like a color on your skin without coloring it and then being unhappy. I hope to grow my hair much longer than it was in my lifetime, and am trying new methods to help it be healthier. My hair is very fine, but I have a lot of it. Take care honey and I am a new subscriber of yours :)

Holy hell, your hair is gorgeous. Mine might be long, but it's not nearly as lush as yours. ...granted, I've not gotten mine trimmed in years. Either way, I use Mane and Tale, which is actually for horses who rub their mane off...haha.

So, I came back to this video because I didn't remember what you were saying about your hair care (and it's an interesting topic for those who want healthier, longer hair).
I think the most important thing to do with henna is researching the ingredient list before buying the stuff. I used to buy a henna brand that had metallic salt in it before researching it and it left my scalp feeling a bit irritated, so I stopped using it. Now, I buy the pure henna from an oriental store nead my house (super cheap, 500g for what 3€?) and the rest of the ingredients off an organic shop that's specialized in natural cosmetics (also where I buy my vegetal and essential oils).
And for a cut? I do it myself, lol. I've wayyyy too many bad experiences at a salon where they didn't listen and just cut off all my length to trust them anymore, plus it's super easy (once you get the hang of it) and quick to do it yourself.
Ah yes, the gross hair masks, lol. Right now my hair looks like an oily mess... because I put a ton of coconut oil in it (best oil for hair! I repeat, best oil for hair! It's the only one that penetrates the hair folicles and nourish them deeply!).

Last week I dye my hair red, (my natural hair color is like brown but I've always dye it black since high school (like ten years ago hehe)), and I had to bleach it... It looks horrible, it doesn't look like the kind of red I wanted, looks like some kind of pink-orange-wine red. Also my hair got burned and it's really a mess, so sad.
I'm so disappointed and angry, because I have a gothic show at a pub (I'm a bellydancer too :D) this saturday and I really look like s**t :(
I want to dye it black again this friday, but I'm not sure... well, it can't be worse anyway, isn't it?

Karla Cisneros Hi sweet. I'm so sorry to hear that. I highly suggest going to a great salon and asking for advice. They may offer some great treatments to prepare your hair if you want to dye it black or another red. Sometimes we need help from the outside to fix something, and our own home-made oils won't do much. :P I hope you figure it out and that it all goes well. Keep calm, your hair will grow healthy again soon! I did some horrible stuff to mine, and look at it now. Don't panic.

I have very similar hair structure as yours, my hair is thick, straight and also very heavy, but it is even longer and I did absolutely nothing. I am using the cheapest shampoo that I found and... nothing more. My hair just hates to be short, when I'm trying to cut it it starts growing like crazy. Is that werid?

I used to have my hair so long too but i also make bad decisions when im bored so one day i looked at my hair n I thought i wanna do something with it n I cut it very short n bleach it n dyed pink then blue so now its black n im trying to make it grow again cuz I really miss my long hair :(

I think your hair is beautiful ;) but i wouldn t recommend this brand of mixed henna and indigo because it has some bad cemicals ,you should instead buy separately indigo and henna and do a 2 step process to get better stain,root coverage and longer lasting results and i would like to say that it isn t true that your hair will melt on something like that if you bleach over indigo it will only turn pale green or it will remain that dark ,this all are my own experiences.
